Just wondering what you other girls may think.

In a guy, is it more attrative if he is shy and sweet. Or if hes confident and secure.

I think I find it more appealing if a guy is sweet and shy. Its adorable in my eyes, what do you think?

-Sara. (link)
Sara,

Well... I like guys that are shy and sweet. Though I have the best of both worlds because my boyfriend is secure, shy, and sweet at the same time. :)

He's really caring and sweet. I find it irresistible. I don't like it when guys are cocky and proud. It reminds me of a rooster. It just annoys me, I guess, when they're 110% machoism, and they are concerned only with themselves and the things they have accomplished. That's ew.

I much prefer a guy who is gentle, sweet, and cares about me as well as himself.

I know this is random, but does anyone know where I could buy a llama stuffed animal? (link)
Um.. I think I saw one at Wal-Mart the other day...
but other than that..
you can try eBay, or Toys R Us, or Kids R Us, or EB Games (they have stuffed animals too), or Target, or even the Thrift store.. you'd have to wash it.. and it'd be fine - unless you were going to give it to someone. Then.. no.

only search advicenators.com

i made an account on iconator and submitted an icon about 2-3 days ago but it still wont show up as i made anything what did i do wrong? (link)
You didn't do anything wrong.

Sometimes it takes up to ten days to go through! It depends on the moderators... sometimes they get a little slack on their job...

If it hasn't shown up in two weeks, change something about the icon (go into your animator, and take whatever color is your background on the paintbrush and "paint" the background again, the same color) and change the name. Resubmit it. It should go through.

I've almost been with my gf for 1 year and was wondering what i should do for our 1 year aniversary... thanks (link)
Well... you don't really have to do anything. It's always sweet to a girl though, if you are able to spend a few hours with her, tell her how much you appreciate / love her, maybe give her a small gift - such as a card or bear, to even something more elaborate like a simple bracelet.

Make sure you acknowledge the fact that you've been with her a year, and tell her you're glad that you're with her. Compliment her. No false flattary though - girls can see right through that, and she'll be mad at you. But she will, more than likely, spend just a little extra time on her hair and makeup and picking out her clothes, if you go out or see her.

Hug her and, if you're comfortable with it, kiss her - tell her how much you appreciate her.

Gifts really aren't that important to most girls. Something simple (card, bear, small bracelet, or even a cookie that says "I love you" on it that you made) will certanilly do - as long as you tell her how you feel.

I was wondering
Is it true if you blow dry your hair and straigthen it like everday that by the time your 25 your hair will fall out?
I usually do that everyday except for on weekends.
Will my hair fall out? (link)
I would say no.

Because... that's weird.

You'll have split ends and dry hair... but it'll be there. It might be a LITTLE thinner.. but it's still there.

It's really better if you only wash your hair every other day and let your scalps natural oils heal itself. Use a heavy moisturizing shampoo and conditioner.

If at all possible, try to only blow dry or only straighten your hair.

Talk to the person who cuts your hair about some ways to keep your hair healthy under that much heat and stress. :)

I've been dating this guy for two and a half weeks. We've been close friends for a year before he asked me out. I have a pretty good idea of what I want to give him for Valentine's, but I need advice.

I'm planning on painting a guitar pic (since he plays guitar) and I'm going to paint on it "Happy Valentine's Day" and have a cool design on it. I was thinking of baking him cookies and putting them in his locker. Then last but not least, I want to get him Fall Out Boy concert tickets sicne we both love them. The tics are about twenty something dollars, and I was wondering...too much for a relationship this short? give me your opinion. if you ahve any other ideas, alterations, or suggestions they are appreciated! (link)
Yeah..

I think it's a bit much for a realationship that short. Cookies = LOVE! They've always said, the way to a man's heart is through his stomach. ... or maybe that was a horse...

Either way.

I'm sure he'll LOVE the cookies and painting.
Write him a sweet letter too. :)

But forty-something bucks for the two of you to go to a concert together when you're paying all of it when you've only been going out a couple of weeks... too much.

what is the whitish gooey stuff that comes out of your is it normal? and what is it called what does it do? why is it there ah someone please help.i rate high (link)
It's called discharge. It's perfectly - ABSOLUTELY - normal. In fact, it would be abnormal if you didn't have it at some point in time! The female genitals are self cleaning - that's what the discharge is - from your body cleaning itself. It has several purposes, to clean itself, to keep you from becoming dry and parched (it'd be like having chapped lips... only not on your face!) and to help prevent and fight infections. It's very important; though sometimes bothersome.

If you don't want it to get in your underwear, try using some panty liners. They're like super-thin pads, so thin you can't feel them. Change them every six or so hours and you're good to go. :)

what age should you start shaving 'down their'? (link)
Whenever you want to. There isn't a set age. You shouldn't feel pressured to shave because other girls are, or it's "cool," or it's what is normally accepted. You should only shave when you're ready to do it and keep up with it. It's really easy to get ingrown hairs when you shave down there and stop, because the hair is naturally curly, and so is more likely to become ingrown. Painful.

You can start whenever you want. A lot of girls I know have never shaved down there, and may never shave down there, including myself. It's personal choice.

Many girls don't want to, but feel pressured to do so because they want to do something sexual with their boyfriends. If you don't want to, don't. If you do want to, then go ahead and do it. :)

if i put on pressed powder.. does it cause freckles ? (link)
No, pressed powder doesn't cause freckles. I use pressed powder because it's easy to carry around in the car etc. and doesn't spill everywhere. It hasn't cause freckles. It won't cause freckles. Freckles are flat tan, brown or black spots that appear over time on areas of skin that have been exposed to the sun. Freckles are common among those with lighter skin who sunburn easily. The basic cause of freckles is special cells in the skin that produce a pigment called melanin. Melanin is what gives skin its color. Sunlight hitting the skin causes the production of more melanin in order to protect the skin layers underneath. If you have melanin that builds up in one place, it will result in freckles. Sunlight also causes freckles already present to become darker.

Using pressed powder will not give you freckles.

how do you make icons and put them on iconators.com? (link)
Join Iconator.com first.
Go to http://www.jasc.com/ and go to trails, then download the free trail of Jasc Animation Shop. Then create an icon using the animator, then go onto Iconator.com, log on, click "Submit Icon" and fill in all the blanks (title, subject, description, find the icon on your computer, etc.) and submit.

If you need help actually using Jasc Animation Shop... ask me privately or IM me. [my SN is Imposibly Insane]

do girls call their boyfriends baby or is that just something guys call the girl.?
(link)
You can call him whatever he's comfortable with - and you are too.

I've called mine baby before, but usually I just stick to babe, sweetheart etc.

I think that as long as the name isn't condescending to the guy, he'll probably like the attention and affection. :)
-FunnyCide

I have a simple question that could have a lot of answers. What is a girl's favorite scent on a guy? Specifically, please. (link)
I don't know the name of what my boyfriend wears... but I LOVE it. It's a heavy, musky scent.

I like it that he just wears something that smells good! My dad has never done anything like that, and I really like it... most girls do. Really, as long as it doesn't smell like butt, the girls will appreciate it.

But like I said, I really like stuff like Axe and Bod. :)
-FunnyCide

I like a boy at my school but he already has a girlfriend. But i don't think his girlfriend really likes him all that much. i think she uses him to say of course i have a boyfriend. What should i do? ((im a girl and im 13)) (link)
Do you talk to this boy?

If not, get his E-mail address or SN. Express your feelings for him - that you like him; but that you don't want to split him and his girlfriend up.

Although you like him.. and she might not like him.. he might like her a lot. And it's only fair to him to let him know that you like him; but it's only fair for him to have a fair decision in this.

Don't say anything like "Your girlfriend just wants a boyfriend, she doesn't really like you.." or something -- that's a fast path to getting him to hate you. Just express, in no uncertain terms, that you have a desire to someday be more than friends with him. But you NEED to tell him that you're not trying to split him and his girlfriend up.

If you're big enough to say that you don't want to split him and his girlfriend up, he'll respect your emotions more and know that you're not some crazy, emotional, mean-spirited girl who just hates his girlfriend or something. He'll think you're pretty cool for being honest, but respecting the relationship he's already in.
-FunnyCide

when is it ok to kiss your girlfriend? like, what times/how long you've been dating/age?

thnx in advance (link)
I think it depends on you and your girlfriend. For instance, I'm fourteen, my boyfriend is sixteen, he and I have been going out for ten months tomorrow, and we haven't kissed. But that is our choice.

You might want to ask her if it's okay with her if you kiss her every once in a while... I bet she'll not mind!

Age? Whenever you're ready. Though I think under twelve is too young..
-FunnyCide

I just got a question in my inbox that is so random and ridiculous that I'm not sure if it's a joke or if it's serious. They seem like those random people that go around, ask a question, then give a 1 and bash a person no matter how good their advice it.

Answer or reject? (link)
Hm.. If you really think the answer is a joke, give it a joking answer.

If you're not sure, answer in a joking way, then say "in a more serious note..." and give a 'real' answer.

Of course, ratings (as far as I know) only count from the pool... not private questions. Though DN said something about making the 5's not count and the 1's count... but as far as I know, private ratings don't count towards your average.
-FunnyCide

What age do you think is the best for having a first boyfriend? :)
(link)
Define "boyfriend."

I know girls who started having "boyfriends" at ten and eleven (which I think... whoa. Too young!) and girls who get their first boyfriend between twelve and thirteen, and girls who are even older, fifteen, sixteen.

I was almost fourteen when I got my first boyfriend. It was two months and one day until my fourteenth birthday when my boyfriend asked me to be his girlfriend.

Yes, I did desire affection from the opposite sex when I was younger than that, but I was not ready for it - and the boys weren't ready for me. Literally. Boys have a lower maturity rate, usually, than do girls. I am fairly mature for my age, so when paired with a sixteen year old male of "normal" maturity, he and I are on the same maturity level.

I think the youngest should be about twelve. You're never too old for a first boyfriend. Remember that -- it doesn't matter how old your friend Shirly was, or how old Ashley was, or how old Meaghan was -- this is about you. Don't rush it and mess it up; you'll regret it. :)

yeah funny cide, you anwserd a quesion about my me anwsering someones "cutting" and stuff. then i went to your column and saw your picture. How do you keep your hair so stright, thanks
~dory16~ (link)
Dory,

My hair is totally NOT naturally straight! It's incredibly frizzy, hard to manage, thick, wavy.. and blah! I dislike it. Greatly.

I have my hair cut in layers to help use the thickness of my hair to keep it flat and straight. I use a CHI [Ceramic Hairstraightining Iron] flat iron from Farouk. I bought it online from eBay - brand new - at a discounted rate. Usually they're about $112; but I got mine - shipping and all - for $85. I also use Holding Spray from Bumble&Bumble. The Holding Spray locks in the straight and keeps humidity from affecting my hair; and helps keep static to a minimum. I use a heavyweight conditioner which also helps.

It takes me about fourty-five minutes to straighten my hair, it's three inches below my shoulder (a little more? I'm not sure) and super thick. But after fourty-five minutes, I'm ready to go. My hair is completely straight - like it is in that picture. It's totally worth the fourty-five minutes.. :)

I am an advicenator and i am new so i didn't know what to do. i pushed random quesion for me to anwser and i got one about a girl and she said her friend started cutting himself and she said he might commit suicide, i told her to get an adult now! did i do the right thing, please help i am new! (link)
Don't worry. It was your opinion. That's really what advice is... what you think (your opinion) someone should do in a given situation.

And the longest answer doesn't mean it's the best answer either. As long as your point is made to the fullest, then your answer is probably fine.

Getting an adult is a very good thing to do when your friend is cutting, even if it's just a school counselor or nurse.

do they only play slow songs a sem-formals?? (link)
Nope. At my semi-formal, the only thing that was different was the sort of clothes we had to wear. There were fast songs - like Latin dances - cha-cha, swing, quick-step, tango, east-coast swing, polka, etc. There were also slow dances, like rumba, waltz etc. And there were line dances and group dances.

But I'm homeschooled, and we have a large ballroom dance class, so almost everyone knows those dances.

Basically, the same music will be played - fast and slow songs. You just dress differently.

today in my honors science class, our teacher wasnt there; 2 men were. they told us that theres evidence of cheating on the easy test on wednesday of this week..and that theyre going to find out who cheated. basically an answer sheet for the test was found..and it had obviously been made my a kid. this is a high school class btw. now our teacher has to remake every test for the semester and theres a possibility of us having to retake a new test.. what do i do if they think it was me who cheated? (link)
Did you cheat? If you didn't, then you shouldn't have anything to worry about.

If you usually make good grades, then now would be no exception - IE, if you usually make As in your honor science class, and in your other class, then you wouldn't be suspected because of your grades. But, if you were to have low grades in all your classes except your science class, you might be suspected for cheating because of that.

Probably, though, they're going to check backgrounds - reputations - and ask around other teachers, seeing if they've had problems with the kids in your class cheating. Probably gather grades and find the most likely suspect. Then they have to prove it; and whoever is found guilty will be punished. I don't know how, though.

Don't get in trouble. That's the worst thing you could do right now. If you're in a school fight, or if you're caught cheating in another class or helping someone cheat, you'll be a major suspect. Be polite and kind, but not nosy. Study hard. Don't complain if you have to take another test, just say "I understand."

If you didn't cheat, though, you really don't have anything to worry about.
