Heartwhisper answered Thursday February 2 2006, 5:28 pm: Well.... depends.... what kinds of things makes her really happy, joyful, uplifted?????
Go from there....
Or, write her a poem, an original and read it to her over a quiet lunch or dinner in some little out of the way place, perhaps a picnic if you live where the weather's nice....
Or, since Valentine's Day is coming up soon...perhaps tie it in with lots of hearts, everything hearts, becuz I'm assuming you think alot of her, perhaps love her? and hearts and love and relationships all go together.
Or, make her something with your own hands... if you're artistic perhaps do a sketch of her, if you're in woodshop or carpentry, make her something out of wood, wood is a great thing, or if you're scientific you could have a star named after her.... there's a website where you can go do that.... but I can't remember the name... but do a google search.
Or, take her to dinner and then a concert?!
Or, double date with another couple that she really likes alot...
Or, use a snapshot of her, one of her fav's and have it put on a sweatshirt or tshirt?!

For our one year, my boyfriend took me to all the places that were significant in our relationship, like where he first realized he liked me, when he first fell in love with me, our first kiss, etc. Then we went back to his place & he had cooked me dinner & had candles & roses & such & it was just adorable.
TheLoveDoctor answered Thursday February 2 2006, 4:10 pm: well you could either go do something fun or romantic. if its for your anniversary maybe you could take her out to eat and bring her a rose or something like that and maybe i pretty bracelet or necklace. if you want to go do something more on the fun side you could go to an amusement park or somewhere different that you both have never been to before. FunnyCide answered Thursday February 2 2006, 3:51 pm: Well... you don't really have to do anything. It's always sweet to a girl though, if you are able to spend a few hours with her, tell her how much you appreciate / love her, maybe give her a small gift - such as a card or bear, to even something more elaborate like a simple bracelet.
Make sure you acknowledge the fact that you've been with her a year, and tell her you're glad that you're with her. Compliment her. No false flattary though - girls can see right through that, and she'll be mad at you. But she will, more than likely, spend just a little extra time on her hair and makeup and picking out her clothes, if you go out or see her.
Hug her and, if you're comfortable with it, kiss her - tell her how much you appreciate her.
Gifts really aren't that important to most girls. Something simple (card, bear, small bracelet, or even a cookie that says "I love you" on it that you made) will certanilly do - as long as you tell her how you feel.

christina answered Thursday February 2 2006, 3:44 pm: Make the whole day about her.
Take her out - buy her things.
Or, take her to a really nice restaurant.
Make her a cd of all the songs that remind you of her & stuff.
Draw her a picture & buy her a ring.
