Question for the girls.

Question Posted Friday February 3 2006, 7:19 am

Just wondering what you other girls may think.

In a guy, is it more attrative if he is shy and sweet. Or if hes confident and secure.

I think I find it more appealing if a guy is sweet and shy. Its adorable in my eyes, what do you think?

-Sara.

I like them to be confident and sweet. If he's too shy then he might never talk to me because I usually wait for them to come to me first. But that doesn't mean I want him conceited and into himself, you know? I think shy and sweet is really cute on guys.

I agree with you. Shy and sweet is very attractive. However, I don't think I'd enjoy an actual relationship with a guy that was shy. I tend to look more for someone that can always make me laugh that I can have an awesome time with. The crazy, funny kid. Crazy, funny people I don't think are ever very shy. I may not be quite so attracted to them initially, but, to me, it's more important to have a solid "we can have fun together" connection. It's confusing at times because I find myself attracted to people that I wouldn't enjoy relationships with.

Well Sara, my name is Sara too but with an h. I think that guys that it is great that a guy be shy and sweet and confident and secure. The personality flaw comes in when you add the word too next to it. Too shy. If your too shy then your not able to communicate and make relationships. If your too sweet you can be made out to be a pushover. If your too confident then it comes off as cocky. And if your too secure you can be unaware of dangerous things. So there you have it an adorable guy just needs a little bit of balance, too much is too much.

Sara,

Well... I like guys that are shy and sweet. Though I have the best of both worlds because my boyfriend is secure, shy, and sweet at the same time. :)

He's really caring and sweet. I find it irresistible. I don't like it when guys are cocky and proud. It reminds me of a rooster. It just annoys me, I guess, when they're 110% machoism, and they are concerned only with themselves and the things they have accomplished. That's ew.

I much prefer a guy who is gentle, sweet, and cares about me as well as himself.

For me, I like both types. I like for a guy to be sweet, confident, shy, and secure. I don't want a guy that's not emotionally secure. I don't want a guy that isn't confident because I want someone with that essence. The essence which speaks strength both physically and most importantly, mentally. I do, however want someone that's sort of shy. I don't want them to be 100% shy, but I don't want them to have the kind of frankness that's arrogant. I want them to be shy, but I want them to state their feelings and thoughts.
