Q: what is a hicky exactly? I mean all I know is it's like, well I dunno! lol I mea n, I know it like leaves a bruise, but I don't know what it is...

A hicky is what happens when a guy/girl suck/kiss a place for a long period of time, leaving broken blood cells and leaving a bruise/red mark. Besta Luck

I think you should try to organize a night out with "the group" and try to have it like old times. Talk to them about how you feel; they will probably feel the same way. Sometimes, you just have to let them go though. Besta Luck

Q: i used to be good at basketball until certain circumstances in my life forced me to give it up for a long period of time.

i'm in love with it again; but unfortunately i am badly out of practice. still decent, but not great.

is it possible (please look at the age*) for me to improve, and regain my old skill? obviously i am going to practice- but will simply practicing do it?

i understand that this is all very general, but please just tell me what you know.

also, any general tips on how to get better at basketball (exercises, etc) would be very much appreciated.

I think you should keep practicing by yourself. Try different techiniques you use to be good at, but aren't so good at now, and work on them until you get to where you want to be. There really isn't a quick way to get great at something, unless you try hard. Besta Luck

Q: Theres this guy in my class, we're kinda friends, but recently since I told friends I liked him they say they haven't told but he's been kinda blankin me mostly. One of the friends says I should ask him out, but I'm no Sandra Bullock. So should I or shouldn't I????

I think you should wait alittle bit, it seems like he is sending mixed signals. Try to talk to him more, get to know him, and see if you think he likes you like that. Sometimes guys are just flattered, other times they just want to be friends. Besta Luck

Q: ok well i liked this kid, we'll call him fred, :P well, anyway my friend, we'll call her megan, was always up on him when i liked him. well i stopped liking him and she laid off. and the other day she told me she likes him, so i went up and told him cuz she asked me to, and hes like, yeh thats cool, but i like you again. and i was like woh ok? so i was hanging around him alot and stuff, and then today "megan" was like, i cant believe ur nosing around my guy. and i was like, WOAH OK FIRST OF ALL, and i told her what she'd been doing, and she was like, well atleast he liked me! and i was like, ok no he didnt, and he likes me. and she was like, yeah right i doubt it, so i went up to him and askedh im and he said yeh and now shes all pissed at me, and its not my fault.

I would either talk to her, or find a new friend. She is jealous that she isn't getting attention from any guys, so she goes and takes the one you like to make YOU jealous. Besta Luck

Q: i think im a really good advice-giver on here. my rating a 4.62. well when my friends come to me for advice i dont really know what to tell them. but when random people ask me advice i no right away a 'solution'. can someone please tell me if this is normal and what i can do to start helpin my friends?

It is normal. When you give advice to other people, you speak your mind, and thats the end of it. Buuutt, when you give advice to your friends, you think of if they would think bad about you because of what you do. I would think about what you say, act like you are giving advice to a random person, and say whats on your mind. If they get offended, just say that they asked for your advice, so you gave it to them. Besta Luck

Q: Okay, my friend Jackie introduced me to this guy she knows (over the internet) and he lives in New York, where she used to live, and they're sort of "going out" but not, since we live in AZ, and anyway, I've been talking to him and I think I'm starting to like him just a little bit and I don't know what to do, because she really really likes him.. I know I should let her have him, but should I tell her or just try to keep quiet about it and try to stop talking to him so I don't like him more or what?

I don't believe in online relatesionships, but if you don't talk to him, you can't grow more attached to him. I would also try to convince your friend not to like him either, online relatesionships aren't very reliable. Besta Luck

Q: My friend has just decided that he would like to join the army. I think this is crazy because he is really sensitive and I don't think he could handle it. It doesnt really help matters that I really like like him. I don't want him to go, I'm scared something bad will happen to him or that he'll be killed. I really don't think he should go because of the way he is. What should I say to him to stop him going, I really don't think he would be able to survive it.

I don't think you could do anything, except tell him how you feel. Don't keep thinking that "he'll get himself killed", that just makes things worse. Think about how much he would be helping our country. If he joins the army, maybe he has a bravery about him you just haven't seen. Besta Luck

Q: I have to do a speech and presentation in English on Tuesday. I am really nervous and hate looking at people, and if I look at my friends I just laugh. However, I can't get anything higher than a B if I don't have 'audience awareness' and I have to get all A's. So does anyone have any tips on how to be less nervous or how I can have more 'audience awareness' or even how to stop myself laughing at the funny parts of my presentation?

Just try to focus on a picture/object in the back of the room and look at that when ever you look up. Or, if your teacher is in the crowd, glance at him/her a couple times too. About being nervous- rehearse infront of family/your mirror. It may feel stupid, but it helps. Besta Luck

It may just be that you are jealous that she is meeting people. Try to get to know them before you say you don't like them. If you REALLY don't like them, tell her. Besta Luck

Q: hey im 23 i live in this campsite with a bunch of my family ((dont ask, long story)) and i had a boyfriend who i'd been with since i was 18. we were going to get married and he proposed to me, and it was after we made up because my brother and our friends had helped us to make up because we were fighting for various reasons. well, he proposed to me and then the next day i went somewhere with my 2 girlfriends and i ran into this kid who i went out with for a pretty long time in highschool. we got to talking and he didnt know i had a boyfriend. well the same night i was sitting talking with everyone and my cellphone rang and it was him. he told me he found out i had a boyfriend and he hung up on me and sounded really upset. so i went out to talk to him with my 2 girlfriends and we didnt come back until about 3 in the morning. well my fiance stayed up waiting for me and when i came in he asked why i wasnt home earlier and accused me of cheating on him ((one of the fights we previously had was because he was cheating on me)) and well i got mad and he never came to bed that night ((we share a gigantic camper with about 8 people)) and i woke up the next morning and found a note that said he was out just like i had been and would be back later. so he came back then the next morning and he was drunk so i threw the ring at him and i pretty much kicked him out. well i went back to him after having a boyfriend and told him i still loved him and he told me he didnt want me to find out this way but he had a girlfriend. so now i like him and i dont know what to do because deep down i think he really does like me. he ran his car into a tree when we broke up the one time and idk hes just really comfusing.

I think you should have a serious talk with him. Ask him if there is any way you would get with him in the future. If he says no, as much as it may hurt, you just gotta move on. Besta Luck

Q: okay.. theres no topic for this cuz I dont knwo what it should be but what ever... anyways... my mom is constantly finding my money that I hide and or takes it from me as soon as I get it to go get drugs.. I would either talk to her about it, or talk to a close family member/couselor. She shouldn't take money from her kid, that's just wrong. Hide your money at school, in your pockets, in a safe, anywhere she would never think of (such as in a pillow). Besta Luck

Q: I wasn't sure what to put this under.. My bestest guy friend told me the other day that he liked me since the day he saw me... I don't know if I could see him that way cuz he is like my best friend and i dont want to hurt our friendship.. Q: I helped my friend get a boy, who is also my friend. She said she really liked him and totally wanted to go out. So I hooked them up. The boy is really sweet and really likes her. The day after they were together. She says to me that she's going to break up with him because she's in love with her ex from like a year ago. (And he doesn't like her like that.) She got me to hook them up, and she's going to break his heart after he admits his feelings for her. I don't think thats right. i told her she said she'll give him 1 week tops. I think that if she didn't like him, and only him, she shouldn't have went out with him in the first place. Explain to her that its wrong, but don't say that she should go out with him when she don't like him because you are giving him false hope. Besta Luck

Q: i've been doing situps every other day for a while since i heard that if you do them everyday you won't get abs. is that true? and i admit i've lost some fat but the sides of my waist still have alot of fat... so how can i make them tighter? because i hate it when i'm wearing clothes that aren't even fat but theres like fat hanging off the side. advice is much needed thanks

Lay on your side, and put your hands behind your head like you are going to do sit ups. Face your head (and hands) towards the ceiling and do "sit ups" that way to get the sides of your waist tighter. Besta Luck

Q: i've been dating my boyfriend for seven months. he lives in the neighborhood next to mine, so i see him almost every day (besides the days he goes to his mom's house in chicago). he's been drifting away from me lately, and he's starting baseball tomorrow and my volleyball's getting more time consuming. how can i let go of him without like losing all interest of our relationship? help! thanx =)

Maybe it's time for a break. Normally couples start drifting away from eachother when they have nothing to talk about. Just have some adventures without eachother, and at the end of a few days, there will be alot to talk about. Besta Luck
