Question Posted Thursday March 3 2005, 10:34 pm

Okay, my friend Jackie introduced me to this guy she knows (over the internet) and he lives in New York, where she used to live, and they're sort of "going out" but not, since we live in AZ, and anyway, I've been talking to him and I think I'm starting to like him just a little bit and I don't know what to do, because she really really likes him.. I know I should let her have him, but should I tell her or just try to keep quiet about it and try to stop talking to him so I don't like him more or what?

I don't believe in online relatesionships, but if you don't talk to him, you can't grow more attached to him. I would also try to convince your friend not to like him either, online relatesionships aren't very reliable. Besta Luck

Okay let’s get realistic and practical. Don’t take this the wrong way or anything but think about it, an internet relationship. If you live in NY and he lives in AZ how is that supposed to work? If your friend likes him, and is sort of going out with him then that’s fine, but were is it going to go from there? The only thing that can come out of that is her getting hurt because he lives far away! And anyways u always have to be careful on internet chats. Because he might be acting one way on the internet with u but you don’t actually know what kind of person he is, not to be pessimistic but you never know who he is and what he does. But just be careful!

Ok, you've got a problem here. But I have the answers. If you're friend met him over the internet, he's probably not what he seems. And YOU deserve better. If you're talking about a chatroom guy, then TRUST ME! Do not like him. I have been there, done that, and it's NOT fun. So you can still talk to him (just dont over-do it) If you feel comfertable w/ it. But otherwise, leave him alone and tell Jackie what I said about him being in a chatroom. latta! :)

I know you can't control your feelings, but you really shouldn't be crushing on your friends boyfriend. I know it happens a lot, but this is how some people loose friends. Even though, like I said, you can't control your feelings for someone. You heart just goes out to someone and you start to fall and there's no stopping that. You should tell your friend that you are crushing on this guy, but your not going to do anything about it because you know she really likes him. She should understand your point-of-view and I'm sure she will. While your talking to this guy, maybe you could talk to him every so often. This way your feelings will fade.

Stop talking to him ( at least quite so personally) and don't say anything to your friend. He hasn't done anything wrong other than have you like him. She hasn't done anything wrong. Why get in the middle of this? Let them play out their relationship to its most likely end and if you still like him, talk more to him then.

Hey, you can controll your feelings. Just go to your friend and be like i know why you like him, and tell her you like him too. If she gets mad at you tell her that you cant control your feelings and you just really really like hiM! or at least like him a little.
