Hey everyone!My name is Brina,I've been on this site for a few years, after not being on for a while, I figured I'd start up again, having more knowledge then before! I'm 19 years old and am going to be a sophomore in college this coming fall! Please feel free to ask me anything!

I'm in nineth grade and I write songs and poetry.
I want to read a poem I wrote about my ex boyfriend in front of the whole school.

But the problem is, I get nervous easily.
I read it for my mom and I kept running out of breath and stopping. and when I was done reading, I was shaking.
If I can't read it in front of my mom, how can I read it to 3,000 people?

any advice on how I can overcome this?
I have always wanted to do this but I'm scared.
And I don't want to mess this up in front of everyone.

Hmm, I know how you feel! I have overcomed this by doing some simple things. First, continue reading it to your mom, until you have it down comfortably. Then, get a group of friends to sit and listen, then go up to somone that you don't really know well, and ask them if you can read it to them, to help you out with your nervousness, they probably will be very helpful with it and not mind at all. Continue to do these things, and when you feel comfortable, you should be able to do it in front of the school. Don't be scared to share something from your heart, if they don't like it, oh well, if they do, thats great. Hope I helped! Good Luck!

okay, so theres this boy.. lets call him k. i went out with him a few months ago and last year. the last time i went out with him we went out for a month and a half. i really liked him, but someone told him that i didnt like him so he broke up with me. i was really angry but i never got over him.. would it be wierd if i asked him out again, since it would be the second or third time we've gone out and that he broke up with me?

i need an answer quick!!

Let him know that you never had stopped having feelings for him, that it was some mistake. Make it clear to him that you really do have feelings towards him. It wouldnt be weird, you like this guy, theres nothing wrong with wanting another chance. If all doesnt work well, theres other fish in the sea. Hopefully things do work out though. im 14 and me and my friends are going out this year for halloween. i dont know what to be!! nothing like a witch or crap like that because thats little kid stuff.. i dressed up as a gothic person last year.. so i need cool ideas. im female so you know and im a prep if that helps and i like the color pink but and i might be a devil not sure so tell me your opinion for a devils costume am i too old? and give me new sugestions of costumes of your own. thank youuu.

okay i got my period when i was 11 years old. i'm 16 right now and i was suppose to get my period around friday and i haven't yet. i have extreme OCD so i'm really worried. this is really uncommon for me, because i haven't skipped a period ever!! i never had sex though. i've been stressing out/worried over it since saturday. i'm not quite sure what to do. i felt somewhat crampy for the past few days. why is it doing this and is there anything i can do??

Take a breath. Its normal. Cycles arent always the same, even if they have been for a long time. Yes, there could be a possibility you might be sick or something, but that is probably not it. Theres not much you can do, just relax, you'll be fine. If you want a real medical opinion you should deffinitly go to your doctor. You've been crampy for a few days, good, what do cramps mean? PERIOD, so you should be getting it soon! No worries :). Hope I helped.

how to tell your family that you are a lesbian

Hmm, never done it, considering I'm not a lesbian, but I think I can still help you. Sit them down, and just say to them that your not interested in guys. And, they'll probably be like, its ok at your age, and say a bit sterner
"No, I'm not interested in guys a way that I should be". If they don't get the hint, then just tell them straight up you like girls. Hopefully, they will be understanding. If you don't think they will, wait it out until the right time to actually tell them. Good Luck, hope i helped!

I'm a 19 year old female in my second year of college and It seems that I'm stuck in somewhat of a rut. Every guy I fall for, and every guy that falls for me seems to have a very short attention span when it comes to being interested in me. I'm a very timid person when it comes to relationships, and it seems that the minute I show any sign of maybe coming around about the idea of being with someone, he drops me. just like that. What am I doing wrong? Is there a secret to fixing this? I just feel so confused.

Your not doing anything wrong. You just need to relax. Don't go into a relationship with worries, take a break, and when your ready to let yourself fall for a guy, then go for it. 15 M - i know this sounds like a stupid question about the sound of my voice but still here we go anyway ... i love to play my guitar i play things like jack johnson (if you have heard him you will know how much of an awesome singer he is) i can play gone going and sing at the same time the thing is i hae my voice i can hit the notes i just hate the sound to me it sounds k when ime singin and playing but as soon as i ercord to my pc is doesnt sound nice at all i am starting to think is, is it that age old story about you sound good in your mind untill you record yourself and play it back and you sound shit any tips on makeing my voice sound better???

It's deffinitly not a stupid question! Sometimes recordings are actually worse than hearing it straight up. So, just try to sing differently so to make the recording sound like your actual voice. But, there could be a possibility were you actually need to work on your singing, which i highly doubt, its probably just the recording of it, but, if it is your singing, try to warm up with a piano, doing scales and such, or maybe you could take singing lessons. k, so i used to cheerlead when i was in like.. 6th grade. im a junior in high school now, and i want to try out for cheerleading or poms next year. i need to become more flexible. does anyone know of a website or any good stretches i can do to become more flexible? any help is appreciated!

You should deffinitly look into buying a yoga movie. Yoga is one of the best ways to become more flexible, and fit at the same time! You can go to a fitness place in the mall, or at a gym near you, and they might possibly have it. Usually they are in between 10-20 dollars for a video. Hope I helped. Good Luck!

ok, so ive been wit my bf for about a year and he recently became very overprotective and jealous if i hang out with other guys..even if its with all my girfriends...like for example tonite i was wit my girls and this uy called us asing to hang out we went for abotu 10 mins and then left, he found otu and accused me of lying to him becuase i told him we woldnt be hanging out with guys tonite wen i had no idea that we would evn be there..bottom line is...how can i get him to stop being so ovverrprotective? this is an ongoing issue

Hmm. I think you need to sit your boyfriend down. This isn't him being overprotective, this is him not trusting you. Let him know that if he doesnt trust you, there are going to be worse problems with this relationship. Hope I helped!

i am 13 and i pretty much have alota zits, but only on my forhead. i wash my face 2 time every day AND use acne medication. its working well, but i really want something to get rid of them FAST or some kinda cover-up that will hide them reallly good. any suggestions?

Just continue what your doing. Coverup will make it worse.Yes, it will cover it up, but it creates more zits. Try getting oatmeal soap and scrubbing your face with a scrub with the soap on it. Hope I helped!

my gf broke up with me acouple days ago and i cant seem to get over it. we were going out for a really long while and i really loved her and she just did it all of a sudden. can someone give me some advice to get over her.

Just be patient.It might take a while to actually get over her, since you two were together for so long and you loved her very much. She most likely is going through the same thing. Hang out with your friends to get the thought of her out of your mind. Or, pick up a hobby. Hope I helped!

In gym class, this girl Kelly, was like ohh you only ran 2 laps FATTY. I ran 5 though! I was like whatever. So then at recess she was like your so white. Get a tan. I said "Im a redhead and we don't get tan easily." Kelly said "Mkay no hunny, thats has nothing to do with it!" Her friends were like yeah and I thought u always say you have BROWN hair. My hair is kind of brownish red. Kelly was like "Get a tan." "Dye your hair." "Loose weight." She's so annoying. She says this all the time. I am way prettier then her too. She just has friends because she knows how to be mean. I can stick up for someone else, but not myself. My friend, who came by me was like "Let's go to the science room!" I was about to cry though. Kelly is 13, and has had 3 boyfriends, all younger. Im 13, I have had 8 & all older! I just don't know what to do! She always calls me a slut too. She has never kissed anyone. She also says I stuff my bra but I don't and this bothers me..

She does it to make herself feel better. Comparing yourself to her isn't going to make things better. The next time she says something you've got to say "Oh, sorry didn't here that,all I heard was you being a bitch to me, because your trying to impress your friends, well "HUNNY" your not impressing them, and frankly, you need to go waste your time on something else, because it doesnt mean a thing to me". Memorize that, or change it up. If she continues to harass you, let someone know. Because its unneccisary for you to feel upset in a school environment. Hope I helped. Have a good School year :)

Next year I'm taking 8th grade italian and I'm wondering do you have to roll your R's or any other letters when you speak italian? thanks to everyone who answers.

Well, sometimes they roll the R's, but not all the time. Its sort of like spanish, except, in an different way in my opinion. Your so lucky you get to take Italian! My school only offers Latin, Spanish and French, but you cant take latin until your in 11th. Enjoy the class!Hope I helped.

dont laugh please but i have a question. is there anyway you can like "speed up" your period so it doesnt last as long? like i said, please dont laugh, i seriously want to know if there is a way.

Aye, nothing to laugh about. Every girl wants there period to not last so long. Excercise, exercise, exercise. Do situps, running, eat healthy. It doesn't work for everyone. But, it does for most girls. Instead of running, you could also do some walking. Hope I helped. Happy Summer :)

My husband and I are very much in love. We also have a 3 year old daughter. Now, my question is, how can we still have sex without getting a surprise? My attention is always on her and she constantly wakes up during the night. A problem is that we live in NY, and not a single family member lives here, so we don't have any help. Well hmm. If you don't want to get a lock for your door, or if you have one then just lock it. Give her something to do that she can do on her own, like coloring, and tell her you'll be back in a few minutes. Hopefully that will work. Hope I helped.Happy Summer :)

I had my boyfriend over one day. We were watching a movie. And I can't stay still during a movie... that's not of my interest.

And besides that, my dad suddenly got into a discussion with him about speakers.

And it seemed like they're rather talk alone... So I left the room for a few minutes to go on the computer.

Later, I found out that offended my boyfriend. He wanted to hold me and when I suddenly left to go on the computer. He somewhat felt the computer was more important than him.

What I did ... was that really rude?
I apologized, but I don't know...
What else could I do?

Well, I recently got a boyfriend, and my mom doesnt know. She is kindof uneasy about that kind of stuff, and I dont know how to tell her, in a nice manner. any ideas??

First off, just tell her you met this really nice boy at school. Mom's love it when daughters talk to them about this kind of stuff. Pick a day to go to the movies, and tell your mom that your meeting a group of people and that he will be there, but your with a group. Group + Guy is good for moms Guy+ no group is bad. lol, i dunno, it just works like this for some reason. After you've "hung" out iwth him for a while, go home and tell your mom that he asked you to be his girlfriend. If you tell your mom about him, the things you two have in common, she should go for it, it might take some time though. But, its not lieing to your mother which is good. Hope I helped. What is the safest and most inexpensive way to meet nice single guys? I already know it's not at the bar or on dating sites! Does anyone have any ideas?

The Mall. Quite simple. Go up to a guy that looks your age, ask him if he knows the time. Then say he has anice shirt or something. Etc.

hey im supposed to write an essay on peoples fears, and i was thinking of doing it a bit differently.. like telling about their fears, and then telling how you got them (which should be a funny story) so do any of you have any?

I used to be afraid of this Character Little Bunny Foo Foo. I watched this little movie when I was little, and I was just so scared of him. I overcame it by hearing people sing it little rabbit foo foo, and i thought, hey thats not the right way to sing it, adn i thought it was funny. It took me years to get over this fear. haha.
