My children, particularly the 10 and 11 year-old, do not seem to have any regard for rules. Simple requests, such as bringing down dirty clothes and linens, are ignored. Their only response when asked why they did not is only a shrug or "I don't know". We have noticed that this behavior is carrying over to school, as well. When asked if they have any homework, etc., they almost always say no, but we have been contacted by teachers that they are not turning in assignments. We have removed games, TV, ipods, computers, cell phone use and at one point removed our oldest from basketball, but they really do not seem to care. At least not to the point of any improvement. I don't know how to discipline someone who simply does not care. Need advice... (link)

They are showing you they don't care because they think you won't stick to your word. Dont let them use the T.v, hang out with friends, buy special stuff, go places, use electronics or anything special or do anything for them till they shape up. it's not ok when the do this. Keep saying what you will till they do. I'm 12 and this is the way I learned but I happen to have very strict parents who sometimes have to teach me the hard wy but I've learned. Also it might be the friends they hang out with...are they inaappropriete or do this to their parents? Find out why first.

Totally. I know Tons of 8th graders who date 6th gradeers. Toooons! lol it's a 2 year age difference but it's your choice and if you go to the same school then yeah. Go for it and I hpe everything works out alright :)

The same thing happened to me. I went and told a school counselor with my other friend who knew too and the counselor contacted the kid and explained stuff and such but she goes t a different school but she's my beat friend. She found out I told and she wasn't mad at all she was sooo happy i told and wasn't mad at all she now doesn't do it (i think) and fees better she knows someone is there. So tell a school counselor or a close adult (it would be better if u both knew the adult)

Omg so yesterday I was combing my bangs bc they were getting alittle out of place, i accidentally started twirling my comb in my bangs and it got caught. I managed to get most of my bangs out of the comb but some of it (fair chunk) was still stuck. I twisted it all sorta of directions but nothing worked. Suddenly, the comb broke free and i thought i was fine. I looked down at the comb and it had the hair in it. It had ripped out a big chunk of hair and it is my bangs and i have short bangs tht are side bangs. I had just got my hair cut earlier that day and now I have a peice of my scalf showing and I dont know how to hide it. Please help me, school starts in 2 days :( (link)

There's nothing online or in books that can help me. Everywhere it says "i stuff my bra because i want boobs" all that to make it bigger! Well i dont want it! i want it smaller. I think getting periods are gross. I did get mine today and i hate it. I dont think i can ever except it! Im athletic and i dont have the time for girl stuff! I hate everything to do with puberty! I toooootally agree. I'm super athletic i swim non syop for 3 hours a day and dance for 2 then run when ever i can around my neighbor hood but sadly there's nothing we can do about it. It sucks, right? But you'll get used to it. It won't seem as bad and aful in a few years and it's part of growing up that's why we say "enjoy being a child"

This month I started my period too early. Is there any reason for this? It's suppose to be every 28 days and there was only 19 days this time. I was only off my period for about 12 days, so this sucks. I just want to know if there's a reason why. (link)

I don't know what I actually really want in life. I want to make others happy that's why im still up at 1 in the morning helping you out and I have school tomorrow. I live with a roommate who is vindictive and has a new problem with me every day. The newest one is that the house smells like ammonia and it's from my cats
I had the cats neutered and spayed and have had them in the house for 6 months. They have never peed anywhere besides the liter box and i change it 2timeson a day. My roomate text me telling me to take care of this ammonia smell and i knew she was lying, however when i got home i smelt ammonia that i never smelt before by the stairs. I strongly believe she bought ammonia and put it on the stairs to prove a point to me. I have been catching her in odd lies a lot lately and would like to know how i can prove the smell ia not from my cats.

Tell her if she has a problem she can leave and to stop and realize that al this isn't fair 2 u. Try to be friendly with her though so she doesn't do mean stuff though. If you know she's lying also then dont let it bother u!

Then do it with someone at a preferible age to you. Yes i find it that you will be happy later in life if you don't do it with her. just really think about things! Now get off the computer and go see what u want and why and if it's reasonable.
