Hi, I'm old enough to be your grandfather and I hope the wisdom that comes with being my age may be of some help to you.

Having watched my children, nieces, nephews and all their friends and now grandchildren going through puberty. I can tell you with a high level of confidence you are not alone in how you feel. I can't think of anyone of these kids I have watched grow into adults enjoy going through puberty. Unfortunately their is nothing that can be done to stop it. It is part of the cycle of life.

Puberty will not prevent you from enjoying those things in life you have come to enjoy. You will have to learn to adapt. Such as wearing a sports bra and learning to get comfortable with tampons rather than pads. When you are older and your period has become regular; if you feel the need to have more control over your period you can discuss with your doctor the different types of birth control pills on the market. Birth control pill are not just for the prevention of pregnancy. Some on the market will actually cause your period to only happen once every three or four months for a few days.

If you are having real problems that keep you from doing things because of the changes puberty is causing. Then you and your mother should talk to your doctor together. There are medications a gynecologist can prescribe to make things easier for you.

As far as having big breast are concerned: This is genetic and until you are 18 there is nothing you can do about it. Once you reach 18 and medically confirmed that puberty has passed, you can if you desire have a breast reduction surgery.

I don't think anyone likes puberty but we all go through it. It's just a way of life that you have to except. It's difficult to adjust to I realize but what's going on with your body right now you can't stop it. I would go to a library and look up some books on puberty or something just to learn more about what's going on.

Unfortunately, there's nothing you can do about puberty. We all have to go through it. The best advice I could give you is to talk to your mom about the troubles you're having. What's her bra size? Maybe your breasts won't grow to be too large. Furthermore, once you've matured more, you could go on birth control to have more control over your periods. Puberty is super awkward, but a few years from now you'll laugh about the whole thing.

I toooootally agree. I'm super athletic i swim non syop for 3 hours a day and dance for 2 then run when ever i can around my neighbor hood but sadly there's nothing we can do about it. It sucks, right? But you'll get used to it. It won't seem as bad and aful in a few years and it's part of growing up that's why we say "enjoy being a child"
