Hey everyone!My name is Brina,I've been on this site for a few years, after not being on for a while, I figured I'd start up again, having more knowledge then before! I'm 19 years old and am going to be a sophomore in college this coming fall! well i tried asking this as a public question, but i wasn't getting any good and well thought out answers. so do you think you can help me?
15/f. first of all is it weird that i'm in 9th grade and i like an 8th grader? anyway the guy i like is super nice to everyone but the problem is that he has a girlfriend. his girlfriend goes to another school so i don't actually know her but i heard that she can be a realy b****. anyway i've started talking to him afterschool and he is so nice to me and a lot of the time he seems like he's flirting with me. like the other day he hugged me, and he is always asking me to come with him and follow him if he goes somewhere. then when i sit down he always sits next to me and then leans in real close (its kinda ackward actually lol). well we are in the play together and he was trying to twirl this one girl. and the girl messed up and he was jokingly like i bet megan (thats me) could do better and he like held my hand and twirled me. it was so cute and he like randomly will like put his arm on your back if he is standing next to you.
ah omg its so weird becaues it seems like he's flirting but then i remember that he has a girlfriend. what can i do?
Of course I can help you. Its fine that you like an 8th grader. Big deal, one year difference, its not the end of the world. Yeah, this guy is deffinitly flirting with you. But, since he has a girlfriend, theres nothing you should do. You should actually probably talk to him and let him know that it makes you feel uncomfortable considering he does have a girlfriend. You can flirt with him, but, just make sure he knows that thats it, and nothing more, dont be scared to either, its not good to flirt ths much with someone when they have a girlfriend. im 16/f. and i live in australia.
i was at the beach yesterday waiting for my bf to finish surfing. we were there for 4 hours and i didnt have any sunscreen on. im absolutely red raw!! ive put on aloe vera as soon as i got home aswell as a number of times since yesterday. i also had a cold shower yesterday. i have to go to school tomorrow looking like this and im praying i dont peel.
does anyone hae any advice? i cant hardly lie down coz it really hurts!! help!
ouch! Just continue to put aloe on, take warmish showers, no cold and no hot showers because for some reason its bad for sunburns. Put on Aqua4...if theres that in australia. Its ok if you peel, you live in a very warm place, were probably lots of people get sunburned. If your skin is starting to look a little funky, deffinitly go to the doctor and get it checked out. Sun could = Skin cancer, so, just to be on the safe side. Dont forget suntan lotion!

Start jogging, doing crunches, and eat lots of fruits and veggies. Just make sure your proportions of food are right. Buy, or use a measuring cup to measure out what your eating. Maybe look into joining a sport to keep active, or a gym. Hope I helped!

Alrighty. I suggest crunches, situps sometimes give people back problems. Alright so, lay on your back and put your legs up so they are bent on your bed. kind of like if you were sitting on a chair, except your back is on the floor. Got that? So, before you go to bed, or when you get home if you can {and before you go to bed} do 25 sit ups, do this for about 3 days. Then, increas that to 35. Then, to 50, then to 60, then to 75, then to 90, and eventually 100. Dont try and skip this process, you will only end up hurting yourself. DO CRUNCHES, not situps. This should help you out a lot. Working out would just make them...more muscley and...not bigger. My mom always said " teens these days have such big breasts because they drink milk" BECAUSE they put hormones in cows to make them make more milk....and somehow that makes your breasts bigger....so, start drinking like....milk with breakfast...milk before dinner/with dinner....and milk later....yes. If this doesnt work...then, just wait it out, your still growing.

i know your period isn't going to be totally red all the time and might be a little brown, but the past few days that i guess i've had mine it's been like totally brown. i've had my period since may, it's only starting to get regular i think, and usually it'd be more brown in the beginning and then get heavy and really red. is there something wrong? i'm not sexually active at all. thanksss

what exactly does it mean when someone says that their hair is greasy?
Usually greasy hair seems to be unkept, it looks kind of like it hasnt been washed in a while. And, it has a unusual shine to it. Mostly its probably because they didnt wash there hair out correctly...or htey dont wash it at all.

Haha, quite crazy right? Um, some people say she wanted the attention, or, she gave it to a foundation. I think that its terrible, you shouldnt do that when you have little kids, they'll think your a stranger. lol. Hope i Helped!

I suggest Spanish. People are more likely to go to a spanish speaking country,because it is much closer than a french speaking one. It is more helpful, in life in my opinion. Say you become a teacher, then you will most likely need to know a bit of spanish if there is a spanish speaking kid, or, any other type of job. Both would look fine for college, doesnt matter which one. Hope i helped!

so the problem is that I AM A GIRL and i hate other girls. i can't stand them. i think their so weird and discusting. and i am a girl myself. and i only have guy friends. and i only like guys.
seriously i think guys are the only normal creatures in this world. and it makes me so angry hearing girls talking about girl stuff. it's just SO anoying. and when they scream cause they are so excited over something. it always makes me pissed. and seriously i am obsessed with guys. i dress like a guy , i act like a guy a lot , and i only have guy friends , and i am so crazy about guys haha

Its totally fine. I'm like that, in some ways. You hate pansy girls, most people do. Your not a weird person at all. You just like the more laid back type of attitude, and most guys have that. Theres more types of girls out there, your probably just used to the ones in your school and stuff. Your a "Tom boy" as they call it, which is fine.Dont stop being you. Hope i Helped!

Ha yes, i love degrassi, im an addict. I'm sure it didnt have anything to do with ryan, because he said someweres that he had known about it before the season started. It was just time for his character to be done with, just like the guy that played Rick. In my opinion, ryan seemed like his acting was going down hill, but im sure thats not the reason. ok so me and my best guyfriend were at a concert last weekend and he was making fun of this girl and she heard him, and i turned around and saw that she was a girl that goes to my school. i was like "oh god that girl goes to my school what am i supposed to do now" and he was like "just tell her we're dating"

Alright. So for whoever actually goes on advicenators, KEEP READING. Seriously, I REALLY need advice and I don't know who to talk to about it. I WILL RATE 5's for anybody who actually like tries to give a good- like really good answer. Okay this might be long but please. So, I need advice on a couple things, one of which is like at school, people call me a lezbo- WHICH I AM TOTALLY NOT. Like people (even popular) say it sometimes to my face, behind my back, or like say something kinda like "So make out with any hot girls lately" or something like "Yeah, you would look really good with all your hair chopped off- like a dyke", pretty much something like that in a really wise ass way. And I know from reading this you probably think I'm a total nerd, but I'm actually average. People are usually nice to my face but still, it really bugs me thats everyone once in a while people I don't even know, or do, talk about me and say stuff that they don't even know is true. I really would like for someone to help me GET OVER THIS and GET THIS TO STOP. It started last year so I really really want this to stop. I mean I would rather be known as a slut then a lezbo (no offense to anyone). I know I shouldn't care, but it's not something you can really not care about. I don't know maybe its because I never had a boyfriend (not like i don't want one, but that anyone who ever asks me out I don't want to go out with because either i don't know them, or they are one of my best friends) PLEASE! I really need advice, I get so upset about it. One more is, I really need help making new friends. Like I have about only three friends that I actually hang out with outside of school and act like myself around and then the other people are either from other towns or we only hang out once. I have like friends in school, but not the kind that you want to talk to on the computer or call or hang out with. I know its kind of pathetic, but I really do need to make new friends. I'm kid of shy at school and I know if I just acted like how I do around my normal friends (funny and like loud and around guys a total flirt) that I most likely could be in with the "popular kids". ha. yeah so all I want to do is have those rumors stop, and make a WHOLE new bunch of friends. One of my best friends,Casey, ALWAYS hangs out with me and kinda sorta follows me. Im pretty much her only friend because she NEVER talks in school. I really need to kinda of pull away from here because I'm spending all my time with her and not focusing on meeting new people&makin new friends.

Hmm. Thanks for asking me about this, I feel honored. People are so pathetic these days. Someone once said outloud that he thought I was a lesbian, because he knows these things because he's gay. Which is totally off. But, what I said to him was, even if i was, you shouldnt have said that in front of people, because its not your responsibility/right to talk about. You just need to throw it back out them, just say to them, so what, get over it. By popular kids, you mean the kids that were being mean to you in the beginning of the question? You dont need them, unless theyre nice to you. Let people see how you really are with your friends! When someone throws some lesbian joke at you, like the bald joke, just be like, your moms should shave her head. Or, really, thats what your mom said last night! You know, just little jokes like that. Dont even stand there, just keep on walking. There not worth your time. If this continues, you have the right to say something to a adult, teacher, or guidence counselor. that doesnt sound stupid at all. It means two people with two different religions, that are together. Say, your catholic, and you are with a jewish guy, that would be interfaith.

I'm 14/f and I'm a tomboyish girl. I mean I still wear girlyish clothes and shop and gossip and what not but I'm not the ones that are prude or wear pounds of make up or something.
I just get along with guys a lot more easily and I feel more comfortable aroudn them than girls because, well girls criticize and judge so much and ohhhmy the drama. I am also "perverted" not really. But when guys joke about the pen 15 club or LAO or stupid stuff like that or talking about someones doing someone or say stuff like go suck him or something like, I don't really care and I just laugh at it and join in with moronic comments like theirs. One guy and I have this little code for LAO, LOL, WTF, and YO with our hands and we just look at each other and do it out of random when we get bored in class. Hehe, but yeah, do guys think that girls like myself are weird or not or what? Do they feel comfortable around girls like me because it'd suck if they didnt...but tell me the brutal truth
Its not weird to them, they see you as a buddy. I hang out with dudes, and they treat me like one of the guys. I like it like that, because I dont like any of them more then a friend, and they know that, so we're just "homies" haha. They probably feel comfortable around you, ask their opinion, just be like, dude, is it weird hanging out with me because i'm a chick? Dont worry, they'll probably say no. Hope i helped! Good luck.

The teacher is going to yell at me once I get back to school because I didn't do my work in this group project.
It was to write a big poem about something. So yeah, I had these 2 girls in my group to work with. They already got started. and .. well I can't work with them!
They weren't speaking ENGLISH .. and I don't know spanish! They both are like best friends so I couldn't butt into the conversation.. (I'm uber shy x3554343 :[)
And they were working on their own and each person had to write 3 stanzas.. but I had no clue what they wrote.
So i didn't want to repeat and get in trouble..
Is it really my fault?
They both got up and walked away right in the middle of it. They both worked together and forgot about me.

You should really discuss this with your teacher. Dont be scared to either,explain to her why it was hard to do this. Work on the project by yourself, do a bit more work on it than average. Dont sweat it, im guessing you usually dont always do this, so the teach might not have that big of a problem with it. If she does, get a parent or guardian to call her or send her a letter explaining to her why it was hard to work with them and get it done. Hope I helped Happy holidays!

Alright, so my friends and were at a resturant tonight with a bunch of other people after a school event. My boyfriend was there, but he decided to sit with some people from school that I used to be friends with, but I'm now not because of reasons. Don't worry about why lol. We've been going out for a little over a week and I'm going insane. We never talk. It's so awkward! I get SO nervous around him and can't think of anything to say, I just get lost looking for the right words to say. I was really dissappointed about what happened out at the resturant tonight. How can I make our relationship better and/or stronger?
The first week usually is awkward. Dont worry. You relationship will get better. Let him hang with his friends, and you hang with yours. He probably thought it was cool that you let him do his own thing. Just, make yourself more known to him. Hold his hand or something, that needs no talking, but you'll get the point across. You'd probably get in trouble, but if it realases stress then you should tell him. You might want to stop smoking pot...you know, you could um, DIE.Yeah, maybe just tell him about the cigs first, to see how he handles it, if he handles it ok, that doesnt mean to continue smoking pot and other crap.
