Hi!
Something simple is what girls appreciate. Something homemade is always special too. A drawing, poem, homemade card, and that type of thing girls always like to get. Chocolate is always nice, a candle, or a stuffed animal. You beading her a bracelet or necklace is super sweet too. Simple things are the best way to go, but just make sure they come from the heart.

Well, I have no clue what a "preppy tuff girl" is, but i'm assuming its a sort of girl....
and most girls i know are really into stuff like
jewelry
gift cards
money
stuffed animals
chocolates
normal stuff like that
but if you really wanna be remembered, try stuff like this:
Buying a pair of movie tickets in advance to a show shes been wanting to see and tell her you have the matching one and suggest going to see it together....
getting her a giftcard to a favorite place of hers to eat
writing little notes leading her to her locker or somewhere and giving her her gift that way
stuff like that
idk if you like this girl, but stuff like that stands out.

I got roses on Valentine's Day, and I think it was the sweetest thing. Any flowers are nice, really. It's a simple gesture, but it makes a huge impression. Trust me.
Other than that, I think it would be really cute if a boy made me a mix cd. Another simple gesture that makes a big impression.
Some other things:
- Stuffed Animals.

I really think the idea somebody below suggested about going to Build-A-Bear. I don't know what else the columnist said, as I was only skimming, but that's an adorable idea.
- Books if she likes to read.
This would be an amazing gift in my opinion, and it would show you pay attention to things she likes.
- Something personal.
Make her a card, or a picture frame with a picture of the 2 of you together in it.
You can always take her somewhere, like the place you went on your first date [if you're dating]. Or, just a place the 2 of you have gone to and had a really great time together at.

Girls love three things: Boys, Makeup, and Jewlery. But it would be kind of wierd if you got her makeup. So the only things left are jewlery and you.
The best presents are ones with memories. Example: cute date at the beach, and you win her a stuffed animal at the pier. So theres a memory behind it, its not just a teddy bear you know?
Somthing personal. I cant give you any ideas because i dont know her. But somthing that reminds you of her, or even better, that will remind her of somthing great you too did together. And if you cant find anything like that, then as a present make a memory like that by doing somthing shes always wanted to do. Like skydiving.

Well, I personally would love to get flowers. A peony bouquet to be exact. (I think they are beautiful and will make the whole room smell amazing).
I also like to get necklaces (honestly I don't care how cheap they are, I would still like it). I'm not really like this, but I know most girls would LOVE to get a necklace with a heart shaped locket with the picture of you two inside.
Perfume.
Dinner, where we dress up just for fun.
Passes to an amusement park, concert, etc.

cool rocker girl-cool necklace or ring. maybe a cd or 2
girly girl-something sweet pretty purfume or stuffed animals

It's not how much u spend that counts, a girl like a gift that has thought, that comes from the heart. Do you get where I am coming from. Try to think of what kind of girl she is. Girly girl tom boy. That kinda thing now...

Maybey you've smelt her wearing purfume . That would be a good gift. My bf bought me britney spears Secrect perfume. LOVE it/ lOVE hime.
Jewelry is a good gift, however it's commen really. But make sure her ears are peirced BEFORE you get her earing.
ALSO if she enjoys reading . OR a PURSE> or a Big teddy bear. Or a dvd that she's been longing for forever.

Well I can't speak for all girls but I think its important to remember its not about how much money you spend, its really about the thought behind it. Like buying her favorite flowers or favorite color flowers instead of the standard roses. Maybe a picture frame with a great picture in it, Gift cards are a little impersonal, but if it is for a store you know she loves then go for it. Most girls love candy. Maybe as a gift you could do something special that you wouldn't normally do, like eat someplace that is a little more fancy than your usual hangouts, go rock climbing, sailing, or something else adventurous. My boyfriend buys me things that I have mentioned, like a book I wanted to read or a movie I was interested in renting, I enjoy that because I know then that he is really listening to what I say.

Girls like presents with thought put into them. If you bought me a gift, I would especially appreciate it if it had something to do with my personality. Generic gifts like teddy bears and chocolate are nice, but unoriginal. You probably also know that girls usually over analyze things, so if you make her a mixed CD with a love song on it, and you two are just friends, she might think you like her.
If you are just a friend/brother, buy her something personal but easy to get like the soundtrack to her favorite movie or the next book in her favorite series (you can buy a book in her name before it comes out).
If you are dating, you can make her a mixed cd with songs you know SHE likes, or maybe she has an older sibling off at university, you can buy her a train ticket.
The key is to make her feel special and that you care enough to make the effort to find a gift that you think she would love.

1.LOTIONS: Hand lotion, body lotion, bath wash,
bubble bath etc. You can find good
scents at Bath and Body Works,
Victoria Secret, The Body Shop. PLaces
like that.
2.MANICURE/PEDICURE: I know some people dont like
giving gift cards as gifts but, If you
go to any nail salon you can get like
a 25 dollar gift card or whichever
amount. And she could get a manicure
or pedicure. She would deffintly like
that.
3.Jewlery: Everyone loves jewlery. You can get a
nice neclaces, bracelets, earrings,
rings etc. For cheap If your not
looking to spend alot of money. If you
have a mall around you and it has a
JC Penneys they have really nice
diamond necklaces and etc for about
13.99-23.99. And there really pretty.
They also have sets that come with
earrings and a neclace. Target too has
some pretty jewlry.
4.Mixed CD:You can never go wrong with this one.
There are so many ideas for this which
are:
-You can burn a CD of her favorite
songs, and Bands and show her how
much you really do pay attention
to her. :) hah.
-Love songs. You can burn a CD
with a bunch of Love songs to
show her how much you love her
and these remind you of your guys
relationship.
-One last idea is you can burn a
CD with a bunch of songs that
represent memorys you guys had,
inside jokes etc. Example, When
you look into my eyes, by The
Jonas Brothers- for the first
time you told her you love her.
Agian just an example hah.
5.TEDDY BEAR/CHOCOLATE/FLOWERS: Haha maybe even
all three. You can go to Build a
bear and make a bear for her and
when you give it to her you can
have it holding a sign that says
I Love you for ever and Always.
