There is a HUGE difference between getting a girlfriend, and getting the girl you like to be your girlfriend. If you just want A girlfriend, it shouldn't be too hard. All you would really have to do is find a girl with little to no self esteem and compliment here and ask her out. She would most likely be clingy and needy, and you probably wouldn't have very much in common, so it wouldnt last very long. Depending on your age, you might get some sexual experience of out the whole situation, but you would come to realize that its better to put in the effort to get a particular girl you are interested in to be your girlfriend than to just have a girlfriend for the sake of having a girlfriend.
If you want to get a particular girl to like you, you might have to work a little harder. We love it when boys remember little things, like her favorite color and her birthday. If you are not already a good friend of hers, then get to know her, but make sure you dont get caught in the friend zone. Work quickly, and be confident, because confidence is really sexy. I know it is scary, but it is best to be direct. Ask her out on something that is quite clearly a date, and if she says yes, then thats great! On the date, show interest in her. Make lots of eye contact and listen attentively, and definitely do not talk about other girls. Try to break the physical barrier, but make sure to be respectful. Hold her hand or put your arm over her shoulders when walking somewhere. She is already on a date with you, so you KNOW she is at least a bit into you. If the date went really well, ask her what she is doing next weekend or something, if she seems interested in seeing you again, before you leave, lean in a little for a kiss. well the most obvious things would be:
-smell nice (not axe, but with like a manly smelling shampoo and deodorant)
- if you have nice teeth, smile alot
-make witty ( non-a**hole-ish) comments that show off your smart/ funny side
- be confident but not in a "dbag-i-just-want-to-get-into-your-pants kinda way
-CASUALLY let them know that you are sweet, sensitive and skilled with statements starting like "So I was making my mom dinner last night and..."
and if you need anymore tips on how to dazzle and charm a girl, just look up Edward Cullen, as he has dazzled millions and he isn't even real...

well, as you probably know, there are different levels of vegetarianism, some eat birds and fish, some are hardcore- no-animal-products-ever, and thats all ok.
there are no vegan/vegetarian police so you pretty much can do what ever suits you, but the dictionary definition of a vegan is : a vegetarian who omits all animal products from the diet, so i guess you are not fully vegan.
i would say you might be partially vegan, or an over the top vegetarian, but its not crucially important.
* you might want to try almond or rice milk, if you dont like soy...

Girls like presents with thought put into them. If you bought me a gift, I would especially appreciate it if it had something to do with my personality. Generic gifts like teddy bears and chocolate are nice, but unoriginal. You probably also know that girls usually over analyze things, so if you make her a mixed CD with a love song on it, and you two are just friends, she might think you like her.
If you are just a friend/brother, buy her something personal but easy to get like the soundtrack to her favorite movie or the next book in her favorite series (you can buy a book in her name before it comes out).
If you are dating, you can make her a mixed cd with songs you know SHE likes, or maybe she has an older sibling off at university, you can buy her a train ticket.
The key is to make her feel special and that you care enough to make the effort to find a gift that you think she would love.

okay i know this is goiong to sound really wierd but can you guys think of anything to do to keep like "intellectually sharp" over the summer. it always hits me hard when school starts at full blast and next year (11th grade if it helps) is going to be harder than ever with 2 AP classes, 2 college courses and a lot of new responsibility. Anyhow, if anyone has suggestions on like books or games or like anything to keep me thinking this summer...i'd appreciate it.

Your AP classes might have a reading list or over summer assignment. Those are an excellent start, don't wait till the last week of August to start those.
It depends which classes you are taking.

If you are taking an AP History Class, I would recommend doing the summer assignment maybe watching a few interesting documentaries pertaining to the coming years studies.
If you are taking an AP math coarse, I would spend a few weeks reviewing the things you may have forgotten that might be useful in the next year.
If you are going to take an AP science class, i will assume that you have already taken a beginners course on that subject and suggest reviewing notes and keep up with required knowledge like the periodic table and such.

That really depends on what you mean. My laptop has a wireless internet card that allows me to access my family's ( or other people's) networks ifi have the proper network information. We still have to pay for internet acces even though I have a card.
Other things like "mobile broadband cards" are little devices bought usually from a phone company and they offer this cool service for a monthly fee ( plus cost of card) where you can take your laptop nearly anywhere the network can reach and access the web.
for the mobile broadband cards look go to a cellphone company ( sprint, cingular, verison...)or their website for more information on prices
and such.
For basic home access, go to a techie store like best buy or circuit city, or where ever you bought you laptop. They should know what you are looking for

The other day i made this simple dish for my mother, it was easy and simple, but tasted sooooo good
cooking time 20 min
sause
14oz can of crushed tomatoes
large dollop of sour cream
2 tablespoons of tomato paste
1 clove of garlic, minced
3 shots of vodka ( the alchohol burns off)
1 teaspoon water
salt and pepper
empty the can of crushed tomatoes and drop the dallop of sour cream in a smallish pot. put burner on a low/med heat and stir uptil the sourcream has melted into the tomatoes. Add the first tablespoon of paste and all of the garlic.
Keep stirring.turn down the heat and add the vodka. stir, then turn up the heat. then add the water and taste ( add salt and pepper to taste)
you have to keep the sause cooking so the alchohol burns off.
spaghetti:
take a handful of spaghetti noodles and place in boiling water with some salt
cook until very limp then dump out hot salty water and rinse in the strainer
chicken:
take some left over raw chicken ( breasts work well)from the freezer and defrost
take as much fat off as possible and chop into bite sized pieces and place in pan on high heat and just let them cook by themselves
when everything is done mix pasta with sauce and plate, then distribute chicken peices on pasta and serve

anyone who has ever been to a young life summer camp , i might be going this summer for the first time, i went to winter weekend but never summer camp and i am just wondering: at the dances and proms and stuff, do people actually dance? like normal grinding dancing? or do people just stand there or dance weird because i know it is lke a christian thing even though no one i know that goes to it is good it just seems like they would be scared to grind in front of the counselors and stuff. so yeah i don't care but i was just curious if people dance like they do at school dances and parties and stuff. probably not as dirty? but idk. and also do people hook up because i've heard of people making out at the camps but i think some people might thinks it's bad? like would people talk about it or do a lot of people hook up like what happens at other summer camps? thanks! I went to a young life camp a few years ago and it was AMAZING!!!! Best week of my life! The dance was fun too,the kids were dancing like normal, but they toned it down a bit for the councelors. It really wasnt a big deal, it was just kinda natural. My youth group all went together and some of the kids were already in couples so they obviously hooked up, but other than that it wasnt really common, a few people did but that wasnt really what we were all thinking about. This camp is sooooo fun that we all kind of forgot about dating and boy drama. It was basically a good, wholesome experience that i will remember forever. I hope your trip goes as well as mine did!

No, everyone has different color pubes. Plus different people get things in different order. My friend started her period when she was nine, while I was 14. We obviosly developed at different rates, I had my boobs at 13, and so did she.
If you want to look for signs of your menstral cycle coming check your undies for a whitish/clear discharge and check on LEGIT medical websites for more precursers ( webmd.com)
And dont forget to talk to your mom and/or docter.

Sorry this will be kind of long.
I'm 15/f in my sophmore year at high school, and most of the girls in my school seem to have this mentality that if you don't have a guy or haven't had sex then you aren't normal. They use the phrase "You have to test drive the product before you buy it". Does that mean I have to put out just to be considered date-able, and pass school does that apply for any relationship? Even when I'm older?

im 15/f/ sophmore too and i know how you feel. We have all seen those girls who just seem perfect and its very tempting to try to copy them, but TRUST ME there are tons of guys who want to do more than get into your pants. You might want to surround yourself with different people bacause your current friends dont really seem to be sending you the right message. =/
plus, what if something goes wrong??
what if the condom breaks? or een falls off the underdeveloped teen boy your "test driving"?
you dont even know if he is father material?

Okay so I have pretty thin hair. I've started getting it trimmed one inch every 4-6 weeks. I've also starting using Nioxin System 1 for my thin hair. I'm trying to eat healthier and I get a good amount of physical activity. I'm just afraid if this all doesn't work. I want to have normal hair, but I keep crying because I feel like my hair will keep thinning and soon I'll have a bald spot. I'm only 13/f but my hair is pretty thin. If I tie it back, its about the circumference of a dime..and I hear that means you have thin hair. Am I too late to start trying to treat it? My hair got thin from these stupid braids I got on the top front of my head so when I took them out, a lot of hair came out. This was at the end of 4th grade. Now I'm in 8th grade, my hair has gotten a tiny bit thicker, but I think that's just because I grew over these 3-4 years. I'm just afraid of nothing working. I'm trying my hardest because I just want to have normal hair. Is what I'm doing going to help a lot? I know Nioxin is gradual but I'm willing to use it if my hair will be normal/thicker, but has anyone used it, and did it work well?? I'm just really feeling down these days because I'm thinking of the possibilites. Anything else I can do to make my hair thick? (link)

the things you are doing should help, but just being a teen helps! Puberty does actually have a plus!!!! Yes, my hair was incredably thin when i was about your age but now it is almost twice as thick!
just remember that long hair is heavy hair, and heavy hair means no volume ( unless youre lucky)
it your hair is longer than your shoulders, i would get it cut.
if you have the time, you could also surl your hair every once in a while ( just remember that this does damage your hair)

i think it really depends on the level of your reltionship
if your like 13 and have been going out for like a month than i think it would be weird creepy and obsessive. ( just an opinion)
on the other hand, if your like closer to 20 ( or older) and you an dyour bf have been going out for a few monts and have already said you love each other then it would be cute and sentimental

Ok my and my ex broke up 3 days ago. We talk on the phone and she said i have lost my chances at ever going out with her.
