Question Posted Thursday February 1 2007, 2:35 am

Is it bad to have confidence and think you are pretty?

This is coming from someone who had low confidence for a large number of years. I would never call myself pretty.

but this is a new year and the past is left behind.

and I'm a lot happier now. It's scaring me I guess. I'm happy when I go out and I smile ...and feel pretty?

Is that bad?

I mean.. confidence in everything.. that you think you are good?

It feels.. really weird/wrong.

i think it is perfectly normal to have confidence, i think it makes you a better person seeing as how you went years without it, i mean, my whole life i was insecure about myself, and now im almost a junior, and i have changed my life, i feel happier, and i think that it is best you feel confidence, but theres a difference between having confidence and being conceited, dont be conceited, because people wont like you. ♥

It's wonderful to have confidence, but it's terrible to be arrogant. You ahve to know the difference. Like, thinking you are pretty is great! But, when you go around telling people how pretty you are, that's not good. It makes others look at you in a negative light, and you don't want that!

I'm not saying you do that at all, just a warning =)

Good for you and your confidence! It's the best thing to have!

Confidence is the best thing you can have. When you say you're pretty, or you like to smile out in public, it's good self-esteem. You're being modest. Confidence is the key, and never lose it. It's okay.

My adivice?? Go out and be pretty and confident. Why shouldn't we?Because I dont think there is a law saying you cant feel goood about yourself. When someone knocks you back, just get up.It isnt wrong to feel confident and pretty.Women should deifnatly feel great about ourselves! And it is what matters on the inside not outside.

It's not bad to have confidence, and it shouldn't feel wrong/weird to have it. I used to never have any confidence, and mine has skyrocketed. I love it. I don't compare myself to other girls wishing I could be as pretty or as thin as them anymore. =) I'm happy how I am.

It's just new to you so it's gonna feel weird for a while. But don't worry about it. That feeling will go away. =)

That's great that you have confidence! there is nothing wrong with thinking that you're pretty. the only reason that it'd be bad was if you got conceited about it, like if you were talking about ourself all the time or putting other people down for not looking like you, but it doesn't seem like you'd be that way.

Having confidence in yourself and the way you look is one of the best things you can think about yourself. Especially if you weren't happy with your looks before, and now you are. Don't feel weird or wrong about thinking you look good. If you have confidence in yourself, other people will have confidence in you too.

NO WAY! That is absolutley wonderful that you are confident with your looks! Don't feel weird AT ALL. The only time confidence gets out of hand is when you start thinking "I'm so much prettier than that person..." As long as you love yourself while repsecting others, there is nothing wrong with your sudden self-confidence! Congrats!

If you've come from a period of low self-esteem, I guess it isn't odd that you'd start questioning yourself when you started feeling better.

It might feel weird, but it isn't wrong! You should be proud of yourself for making a fresh start.

Ofcourse its not wrong to be confident. Its the best thing in the world when you look in the mirror and go"daaaaayum"lool.Having confidence makes you be a stronger person on the inside.Like for example your a little chubby but you think your pretty,if a person comes up to you and calls you fat youll be like "PuLeAsE" and you wont be hurt by what this person says. You have to be confident in order to live happily. But if you think your ugly and a person comes and makes fun of you, youll go home and start crying.Feel like your beautiful which im sure you are and be happy with it!A person only lives once so make the best of it!Even if people come up to you and say your concited,it dont matter, people sometimes act like being confident is a bad thing when its not.Just make sure you dont start getting arrogant so people dont start getting annoyed.Being arrogant is when you look down at others and go"ewww im not talking to her shes ugly,im so much prettier"anyways hope i helped
