Skirts.
I have a question about what to wear with skirts. I am very new to this. I haven't worn a skirt by choice before. I was thinkin of wearing one to school for the first time, because my boyfriend has only seen me in pants since we have been dating haha (11 months) and i have decided to wear a skirt for him. My question now is what kind've shoes would you wear, like i find it weird to wear boots with a skirt or running shoes with a skirt, could ya help me out? Also any other advice for wearing skirts. Wow, im very embarassed... haha

with a skirt i suggest wearing
ballet flats
flip flops
uggs
wearing leggings with skirts is also a thumbs up try getting;; a bold print or color and a neutrul brown gray or black with a little bit of lace

Usually cute, tight shirts look cute with a skirt. I`d wear a long sleeve shirt. They have some really cute ones at Hollister that are longsleeved. Flip flops look super cute with denim skirts :] I deffinently suggest a denim skirt because they look the best! also leggings/leg warmers would look hott since its winter time :]

I think if its like a denim skirt you should wear ugg boots or some kind of boots or flats..
maybe even heels.
But if its a colored skirt find a pair of shoes that matches well with the skirt =]

i love jean minis and wear them everywhere! flip flops work gr8 with t shits. they have serously cute long sleve shirts @ american eagle that look good w/ mini skirts. all shoes basically work exept for short boots bcz theyll make ur legs look fat. few exeptions, but not many

i usally wear -they look like- ballerina shoes or uggs.
if your embarresed to wear a skirt, then i would wear leggins with them or capries with them
if your skirt is a little too short then i would wear a big v-neck sweater and put it over your skirt.

there are different kidns of skirts, and different shoes look good with different lengths or styles of skirts. it also depends on your style. certain types of boots may look kinda hooker-ish with a mini-skirt. and only certain people can pull of the whole sneakers-and-skirt look. you could wear uggs, slip-ons, clogs, flipflops, sandals, heels, flats, etc.

For shoes and tops it really just depends what color the skirt is it should usually match pretty well with the skirt. You might wear some flip flops or a pair of cute sandals :]

You can also wear a skirt with flip flops, which is what I usually do, but its more of a summer thing. Also, it depends on where you live. If its cold where you live, flip flops arent the best option.

Also, a pair of high heels or kitten heels always go with skirts :]

Honestly, in my opinion I would
not recommend leggings. I'm probably one
of the only girls in my school who hasn't
worn leggings under a skirt. Its simply because
its over done. Also, if you're going to wear
a skirt, why cover up your legs?
Thats just pointless.
So, if you want to flash your boyfriend
and little leg, you have plently of foot options.
One would be a summery sandal, you could do plain or a cute pattern that coordinates with your outfit. You also have the option of sandals with the small heel on them.
You could also try ballet flats.
Any coordinating pattern or color would
work just fine. Kitten heels could also work.
Or you could do a fancy shoe
if you're planning on dressing up the
outfit. Pumps or wedges will do just fine.
Suede slingbacks are also really in right now.

However if you're just going to school,
cute tennis shoes could easily work! Skirts
don't have to be totally girly. Try Pumas
or even Vans, (Don't do Nike type shoes, keep the tennis shoes cute and small) but if you do, don't wear a fancy blouse. If you're going for the sporty mini-skirt look, layer cute fitted tees (coordinating colors of course) with a funky necklace. That will totally pull the
edgy, skater in a mini-skirt look together.
Boots can be okay in skirts.
I'm not a fan of Uggs, once again
they aren't in style, they're just an
overdone trend from last year. So to stand
out in your school, you could try boots but
I wouldn't recommend Ugg styled boots.

You could always wear leggings (thick ones) and then wear boots then you might change your mind about boots.!But I personally wear a skirt, leggings and flat dolly shoes or pumps.Dont wear trainers only converses!!!!Hope I helped.

I know if you don't really wear skirts, than I'm guessing you don't really wear highheels. But a pair of heels with just a tiny heel, would look great.
Flats are also something very adorable to wear with a skirt, and it even looks better if you wear just a pair of black legging/tights.
or you could wear flipflops, those look nice.

it really depends on what type of skirt your going to wear. skirts are about accentuating the legs.
ive provided some do's,donts,and the ones you need to be careful with.
DO WEAR:
-flats *i recommend flats with leggings &a skirt
-heels
-platform shoes
-flip flops [depends on where you live]
-uggs
-wedge sandals
-kitten heals [usually a rather delicate style of shoe, so they can work very well with short skirts. Thongs, slides, and strappy sandals with a small, low heel help accentuate the "leggy" look you hope for with a mini skirt.]
BE CAREFUL WITH;
-ankle boots - they make womens legs look bulky
-stiletto heels - might be too sexy with a mini
-High Heeled Pumps - the shoes are a little heavy looking
DONT WEAR;
-Oxfords
-Bulky Shoes
-Cross-Trainers
-Clogs
-Socks
as for the whole skirt part choose one that your comfortable in. it sucks when you have to go a day of school in something really uncomfortable. try walking in the outfit the night before to get used to it. be careful not to fall and have fun!

Yeah it wouldn't look right to wear like tennis shoes with skirts, same with boots. So those are [2] links for flats and [2] links for flipflops.

hey, well you could wear leggings under the skirt. that always makes wearing skirts so much cuter. also you could wear ballet flats with a skirt. wearing boots with skirts is not something weird. actually a lot of people do it and i like that option too. i dont recommend wearing sneakers with skirts. i think that looks trashy and tacky. if your into things like vans, those would look okay too.
