as bob barker would say from the price is right-you should spay and neuter your pets-well, the two of my dogs aren't spayed. if you let your dogs outside all the time and don't watch them, they could wander around and meet a mate. also, all of the stray dogs need to be spayed and neutered so we decrease the stray animal population. so it's your opinion.

Every pet should be fixed, enless they are a show animal or you are planning on breeding them. It is healthy and it helps controll the animal population.

Actually weird but true spaying and neutering a pet is good for them. Studies prove that when you spay and neuter a pet it makes them live longer..

Hope I helped hun <33

orphans answered Tuesday August 15 2006, 5:00 pm:
Spraying and Neutering is the best thing for a pet. There's homeless pets at orphanages, if you know what I mean. People abuse dogs so many times and they end up homeless. Adopt dogs that need a home.

Letting your dog give birth, especially small ones are hard on them. They can't decide, because they don't know what it means. If you have a small dog, don't let it have birth; you'll regret it.

Being spray or neuerterd is the best for dogs and you. Dogs life span is longer, and you don't have to see your dog in pain.

I work at an animal clinic that strives to get EVERY animal that comes in to it's doors spayed and neutered. Not simply because it makes the clinic money, because, in a way it loses us money, I'll get to that in a bit. Also, not simply because it helps to solve pet over-population. We like to see spayed and neutered bunnies even when they live in a cage without any other bunnies.

The main reason to get your animal spayed or neutered is because he or she will live much longer. There are an immense amount of health problems in unspayed or unneutered animals beginning with really disgusting and and painful anal problems in males to cancers and more.

So, in a way, if we didn't spay and neuter the animals that came in, we would eventually make more money on each animal that came in with a disease or condition later on in life, that would eventually shorten it's life.

Don't listen to anyone who says "spaying and neutering is unnatural" Anyone who owns a pet is doing something that was once considered "unnatural" This is not a natural world, we do everything we can to keep ourselves and our children happy and healthy, why not do everything you can in order to keep your pets healthy and happy.

Not to mention the fact that right now there are so many unwanted animals. Every summer, you area clinics will be flooded with unwanted dogs and cats because of people who do not spay and neuter their animals. The clinic in my area is practically giving away animals because they can't handle the flood of animals.

So, spaying and neutering is about as natural as giving your children vaccines or even vitamins. Both help keep your children disease free. Spaying and neutering keeps your pets disease free.

hi.
None of my pets sre neuserd. I personally think that it is un-natural. Nut if you have a boy and a girl and you WANT the babies then don't. If you don't want the babies spay/neuder them. It isn't wrong if you don't know how to 'birth' the babies. But if you do then you could. I am not saying that its wrong but i'm not saying it is right.
Hope I helped.

It is actually a very GOOD thing. If you didn't then there would be even more of an overpopulation.

isis answered Thursday August 10 2006, 6:40 pm:
Spaying and neutering is a good idea for cats and dogs for several reasons.
Firstly, there are so many strays that are in need of loving homes, there is no call to let pets reproduce. It doesn't bother them, they don't miss having kittens/puppies, it's only sentiment on our part that thinks that they may.
Secondly, it stops male dogs getting over excited and humping anything that stays still long enough, and the females do not have to be guarded on walks from said over excited dogs. Male cats are less likely to stray or fight, and female cats will not disappear in search of a male.
Thirdly, the males of both species cannot then develop testicular cancer, which is quite common in un-neutered older dogs, and the females of both cannot develop uterine cancer, which is again, quite common in the older animal.
It also means that you are not left with hard decision whether to part with them or not and finding suitable homes.
Hope that helps.

No, it helps prevent overpopulation of that pet breed. Some animals are so overpopulated, we have been pushed to slaughter many... including horses =[. Many people neuter their pet because a neutered dog is less hyper than a sexually active dog. =] I saw a really cute lisence plate frame that said...

I ♥ my cat.
so I ♠ her.

(I don't know if I did the codes right for the symbols though.)

absoulutly not. I mean, if you don't it's possible you're bet could have babies and you may not have time to take care of all those other animals so no, it's not wrong. and if it were, they would have made it illegal

Emaho answered Thursday August 10 2006, 6:03 pm:
No. Spaying and neutering just prevents an animal from having babies. I think it's a great choice to make because there are so many strays and unwanted animals already. Hope I helped!

Mackenzie answered Thursday August 10 2006, 5:42 pm:
It may seem like an upsetting procedure, but in the grand scheme of things I do believe it is done with their best interests at heart. There is already an over abundance of animals in shelters, and many are put down each day to make room for the next. Thinking of the millions of unwanted, abused, and malnutrioned animals in this world is a far more troubling thought than the little guy experiencing a quick and safe incision or two. (=
