initiation
next year im going to high school. the seniors initiate all of the freshmen. has anyone been initiated before? what did they do to you? please help. im scared to go to high school.

I was freshman least year... i thought i was going to get thrown rocks at :] but... i didn't mostly seniors don't care about freshman, the freshman watse their time, they are to busy worring about college and classes etc. to be mean to you(unless you have the people who don't care) even them, they just don't care about freshman......IT IS ALL IN YOUR HEAD!!!! but......you probably will get picked on if you are totally obnoxious upperclassman DO NOT like that at all. just be cool and don't be in their path, you'll be fine

This is probably one of the questions that most people would ask, being new to high school. Its a rumor and it isnt true. The seniors dont initiate you, they don't pick on you, and sometimes, if you dont know them, they don't pay attention to you. Being a Senior and even a Junior, comes with maturity, so they usually don't bother you. But don't worry about it. The only thing you're probably going to have to worry about, is the other freshman and sophomores. Some people like to think they're better than anyone else and they like to control others who are new to the school. But don't let anything get to you. Good Luck! Hope this helped.

95% of the time, that's just an untrue rumor. I was told that seniors at my school like canning freshmen...the truth is, they only do it if you disrespect them or you're obnoxious. If it is true, just politely ignore them(but if they talk to you, respond) and they will probably ignore you too. They can't possibly initiate all freshman- there aren't that many mean seniors.

i'm gonna be a senior this year...pretty much we ignore freshmen because we get annoyed with their immaturity. i dont think any seniors will bother girls too much if thats what you are. high school isn't scary no seniors even talked to me really except the ones on my team when i was a freshman.
just don't be a typical freshman-loud, annoying, immature, think they're so cool since they're in hs-upperclassmen HATE that...just be cool

i know how you feel, one time this guy who was bigger then me just started picking on me for no reason and threating me. it really freaked me out. i used to try to avoid him at all times and when i stoped going in his path he forgot about it and stopped bullying me so i what i reccomend for you is that you should try to ignore them because they will probably stop

Pfft they say they will initiate you, but they almost NEVER do! Freshman get ignored by Seniors! Im going to be a Junior this year and none of the Seniors ever "initiated" me. They do push you around a bit in the halls though. (Not literally push you around)
DONT stop in the middle of the hall and talk to your friends, you will get shoved out of the way.
Dont worry, High School isnt that bad! And trust me, it will go by faster than you think it will!

most of the seniors don't care about the freshmen. it's all about making things up to scare you. they didn't do anything to me or anyone i knew.
they're too mature for stupid things. they left us alone.
the seniors are nice.
don't be scared. they think it's funny. nothing happens to you. if you act like you're "so cool". it will annoy people. and it would make SOMEONE.. want to bring you down and embarrass you.
so just hang out with your friends and be happy. they won't do anything.

well its like that if you first go to middle school but here is my advice towards you yes some of the seniors might intimidate the freshman but that don't mean that person has to be you when you go to school just act like your self try not to make any enemies your first day that will be a bad start at your new school den your goin to be a freshman so jus remember just be your self don't be something your not

that's usually for sports... they made my friend drink some crazy drink (like ketchup and stuff mixed in it..) for lacross. we had to sing the senior song or whatever while they laughed at us, it wasnt bad. <3

All upperclassmen love to scare their lower classmen. It's almost kind of funny because its working. If you are seriously afraid, don't be. I suggest you stay with friends that will back you up if anything does happen. I also suggest talking to the teachers and getting to know some of the security guards. If you are scarce with friends, hang out around the security guards so if something does happen, you will get help immediately.
