aw, okay.
Proactive works.
St. Ives Aprocot Scrub.
drink a lot of water.
buy some stuff called rice paper.
and wipe it on your face.
it helps get rid of oils on your face and it is really cheap.

Deep Clean Cream Cleanser by Neutrogena is awesome. You should also see your doctor for a prescription because I'm telling you nothing in the stores will help you as much as what the doc gives :]

I have heard that proactive works. You could go to eckerd and ask them what the best one would be. you could also go to any grocery store and look at the different ones and read all of the boxes and pick one that looks good.

Try something gentle put effective. I have acne too. I use 'St. Ives Apricot Scrub for Acne Prone or Oily Skin'. ([Link](Mouse over link to see full location)) I use that daily and use a mask from Clean and Clear once a week thats made for my oily skin. They make masks for all types of skin and you just need to find the one for you.

I say it's always best to use a simple acne and oil fighting product; such as:

(which can be purhchased at Walgreens for $4.49)

or:

follwed immediately by:

(which can be purchased at Walgreens for $6.99)

Also, if you're willing to entertain the idea of a facial, those are awesome. Certain types target specific problems, so make sure to read the label. It's a fun, easy and CHEAP way to renew your skin. I usually get some friends together and make a night of it, but that's just me. :P If you're interested though, we keep it simple.. and use:

[Link](Mouse over link to see full location)
(that one claims to spefically target oily skin, but there's many different packets produced by that company.)

So yeah, those are the products I use, and I can honestly say I have seen nothing short of fantastic results. [:

Something else I'd like to add. I see you've been recommended Biore? I've never personally tried them, so I can't give my opinion either way. However, a bunch of my friends have. They said it's the 'biggest joke on the market'.. (Just figured you might appreciate ALL opinions. :D)

I know how advertised Proactive is, but it really, really works. My friend had the WORST acne in the world, used Proactive for two weeks or so and her face was completely clear. It was amazing, so I started using it and it gives you the best results. It's not that expensive either, but if you think it is, it's definitely worth it. Hope I helped :)

P.S: Some other products I tried before were Clearasil and Biore, they both worked fine too and aren't expensive at all, but eventually they started making my acne worse instead of better.

I used to have really bad acne also. I got a perscription for a cream called Retinai (sounds like Ret.i.nay). I have been using it for almost a year now. Clearasil and all those work okay, but thay don't last long. With retinai, you acne may even get worse in the first few weeks of using it, but after that it will all disappear. Don't put retinai on in the morning though because it makes you get sunburn easily. Put it on every night and wash it off in the morning.

Great ingredients: Salylic Acid, Benzol Peroxide, Sulfur, Resorcinol. and Triclosan.

Salicylic acid is an ingredient used in many over-the-counter acne medications. It is often found with pads as applicators (such as Stri-dex pads). It is also used to treat other skin disorders including dandruff, psoriasis, calluses, corns, warts, and more.

Benzoyl peroxide is available in prescription and over-the-counter medications, in cream, gel, and wash form. It is an anti-bacterial agent.Benzoyl peroxide kills P. Acnes, the bacteria that causes acne. Also, there is a mild drying and peeling effect which is thought to help prevent breakouts.

Sulfur has been used to treat acne for thousands of years for its peeling and drying actions, and is found in various washes, soaps, and creams.Sulfur provides peeling and drying of the skin. Although it is effective at breaking down existing blackheads and whiteheads, it may also promote the development of new ones by increasing cell adhesion.

Resorcinol is used to treat acne, but also eczema and psoriasis among other skin conditions. It is sometimes combined with other acne medications, usually sulfur, and rarely stands alone. Resorcinol helps breakdown hard, rough skin, which means it is good at breaking down existing blackheads and whiteheads.

Triclosan is also found in many handwash liquids and diswashing liquids. It's antibacterial, which kills bacteria under and on the surface of the skin, preventing and treating pimples.

GREAT products that contains one or more of the ingredients above: Clean&Clear, Clearasil, ProActive, Stridex, Oxy, and Neutrogena.

And personally to me, they all work great. I once had acne myself and they all cleared it up quickly, as I was experimenting a bit. But I thought the best ones were Stridex and Clean&Clear.

Things to look out for: Inflammation including itching, burning sensation, rashes, reddish bumps, and dryness.
