Q: My hair is pretty thin, really straight, and comes down about and inch below my shoulders. I'm so sick of how it's pin straight, and i can't curl to save my life. I've been thinking about getting a perm, just a loose-curl, wavy type perm, not like ringlets or anything. Should I wait till it's longer to get it permed? And do you think this would suit me, or work? Becuase i had a friend that told me not. Any advice would help..thanks!

Personally I wouldn't do it. I permed my hair once. It fried my hair and it took me forever to get it half way back to normal. I permed it three years ago and my hairs never been the same. It used to be board straight and now its just crazy. Its not curly, wavy, or straight. The only good thing that came from my perm was that now I can curl my hair. I don't regret perming it. I just don't wish the mess I made of my hair on anyone.

Q: My face is horribly broken out, and I really don't know why. I'm impatient, but yes, I seem to have tried everything. I hate medicines that make things "worse before they get better." I have been BEGGING my mom to get me Proactive, but she is refusing. She says she will take me to the derm. but I don't want to go there because I know she will give me something that will dry my face out and make it peal and really discusting. Any advice? I really want Proactive, is it worth the money? Should I just get it myself when I get money for Christmas?

I use Proactive and it is completely worth it. You can get it for $25 a month. It is really a small price to pay. It cleared my skin up and helped my oily complexion. It does take a week to a month to completely clear, but its worth the wait.

Q: i want a camera that:
has a GOOD zoom
will allow you to take pictures in B&W and sepia
has 5 mega pixels (or something close to that)
has different flash settings ( so i can take it off)

also its MORE convenient to me if i could get it at walmart or best buy.

Just remember to do some research to get the best camera for your money.

(I have a norcent. I couldn't find one at walmart for you but try looking elsewhere. I got mine at walmart. It has 10 megapixels and some awesome settings. It cost me around $120 then.)

Q: i own a layout site on myspace and i was wondering if there are any ways i can get tons of friends super fast without posting all thoses stupid bulletins and stuff.

I have a layout site on myspace too. I made my blogs (which contained all the layouts) private. That way if anyone wanted to see them they would add me. Also try making a group for people to join. That way if anyone searches layouts, you pop up.

Q: My period is really weird. My first one was in October of last year. And my mom said it should come every 28 days or so but mine comes like every 33 or 34 days. And I was supposed to get it like the 5th or 6th of this month and it still isnt here and it doesnt feel like its coming. You're completely normal. It can take some time to regulate. Even in a few years it can still be abnormal from time to time.

It means that each person in a relationship agrees to date other people. You are still together and dating each other, but you can be involved with other people too.

Soak your finger tips in nail polish remover and the nails will come off just like thick nail polish. Thats how I got mine off.

Q: So my friend wanted to ahve blonde hair and i tried to dye it but it came out really abd with orange clumps. then we went to a hairdresser and she screwed it up more, first chaning it to her original ahri color but more red and then putting super whtie blonde streaks ALL over the place. she wants to get it abck to her orinigal hair color, how do we do this?

You can have it striped but that damages your hair. Try finding a GOOD salon. Take a picture of her before the hair dye. They can bleach or dye it back as close as possible to her original color.

But make sure you get a good salon.

Q: I have 6 straightners at home 3 of them are $200,$260 and $219 there all expensive but they dont work i straighten my hair then 2 minute laster it starts flicking everywhere and i hate it i put products and the same thing happens i tried no products and it still happened any advice ?

Smooth this product through wet hair. After you straighten your hair lighten smooth some of the product over the top of your hair. I apply it once more in the middle of the day. It keeps my hair straight, shiny, and frizz free all day.

EDIT: I don't know what you have in Australia as far as stores. But you should be able to find it easily. Try drugstores or where ever you'd buy hair products and make up.

Q: are freckles harmless or are they a sign of sun damage?

Their harmless. You get a lot of freckles after sun exposure because of the increase of pigment in your skin. What you need to watch out for is unusual moles. An appearance of a mole or a change in a mole you already have can be a sign of skin cancer. If you have an issue with a mole, see a doctor. But don't even worry about freckles.

Q: I've read tons of answers to questions on here, tons of articles/diagrams online, & after all of that I still can't get a tampon in. I know about how long to keep them in, how to hold the applicator, how to get it out, etc. But I just can't get it in.

I've used a mirror, and I see the giant opening when I spread the lips apart. I put it in towards the bottom, but I can't see a clear area to push through. So I put it at an upward slant and push, but it goes nowhere so instead of the tampon going in, the applicator pulls back & the tampon just hangs there. Which ends up bringing me a little discomfort, and still no tampon inside of me. What can I do to make sure I'm putting it in the right place?

Any VERY DESCRIPTIVE explanations about where I should be putting this thing are greatly appreciated. Oh, and I've read the instructions on the box [playtex gentle glide].

Okay. First hold the tampon between your middle finger and thumb. Place the end of your index finger at the end of it where the string comes out. Using your middle finger and thumb to push, insert it into your vagina. Push it at a slant as if pushing it towards the middle of your back. Once your fingers touch your vagina, stop pushing. Now while not moving your middle finger and thumb, push the end down with your index finger until you index finger meets the other fingers. Pull the applicator out and your done. You may not get this right the first time. It also might be painful the first time due to a membrane that must be broken. Reading what I told you and the instructions may help you more. I don't like who I am

I'm going to get some crazy hair cut or something that symbolizes who I am. I admit it, I listen to emo music and some death metal/hardcore whatever you want to call it. I don't want to be with my family, or have anything to do with my family. I just want to be the quiet kid that does everything for them and doesn't get noticed for it.

If anyone has any ideas on how I can change, mentally/physically or emotionaly I would appriciate it a great deal. Making like losing weight tips or new hair styles (emoish I guess)

Honestly, I wouldn't change. Trust me it sucks. I'm quiet and no one pays attention to me. I'd kill to have the guts to speak my mind and be myself. You just have to embrace your personality. As far as the getting in trouble, you have to learn what battles to fight. Don't fight over little things. If cutting your hair would make you feel better about yourself, go for it. I change my hair all the time to suit how I feel. Just embrace who you are.

Q: I saw a myspace layouts website mentioned on this site a while ago, and it was really great, but I forget what it was. I think it had 'myspace' and 'lyts' in the url but I'm not sure. The colours on the site were orange and green I think. It had codes, generators, backgrounds, and a few other things. It had contact buttons [like add, msg, stuff like that] with dancing cows, and ducks. I tried google and looked through at least 20 pages of results and couldn't find it. I tried searching this site too, but couldn't find the question it was in. It's not one of those like pimpmyspace or whatever, it's not flashy or anything. If anyone knows what I'm talking about I'll be so grateful, I'm desperate to find it haha, thank you.

Q: My hair is very curly, but my bangs are straight. Idiotic straight. Like, they curl once at the scalp and then fall exactly pin straight across my face. It probably happens because I used to iron my bangs staright. But I did the rest of my hair too! Why is it happening? Pretty much my only options are to straighten them again or gel like there's no tomorrow. It's ugly and it doesn't belong. How can I get my bangs to curl like the rest of my hair? (P.S., I don't want it to look too unnatural, and our curling iron has a bigger rod than my spirals. Help!)

Try using a small roller for you bangs. Thats what I did for mine. Just smooth out the curl so it looks natural. Try pinning it to the side for a few minutes to give it a smoother natural wave. Everybodies hair is different so this might not work for you, but its worth a try.
