to perm or not to perm...? My hair is pretty thin, really straight, and comes down about and inch below my shoulders. I'm so sick of how it's pin straight, and i can't curl to save my life. I've been thinking about getting a perm, just a loose-curl, wavy type perm, not like ringlets or anything. Should I wait till it's longer to get it permed? And do you think this would suit me, or work? Becuase i had a friend that told me not. Any advice would help..thanks!

i personaly like the mid-lengh curly hair because it looks more Sexy and atractive. You could see what your hairdresser says or type in 'Curly Hair' in google images and there's a picture of Jessica Simpson with short curly hair. It looks reallly cool. But i'd go with mid-lengh curl (also on google images with the same search name).

DO NOT perm your hair. It will not make your hair any thicker. It will make it curlier temporarily, but please don't do it. I think that this guides is not only helpful, but will suit you entirely:

Personally I wouldn't do it. I permed my hair once. It fried my hair and it took me forever to get it half way back to normal. I permed it three years ago and my hairs never been the same. It used to be board straight and now its just crazy. Its not curly, wavy, or straight. The only good thing that came from my perm was that now I can curl my hair. I don't regret perming it. I just don't wish the mess I made of my hair on anyone. ]
