I think you've been told this before, but you really souldn't have lied to the guy or his friends. You should have just told him the truth from the start - he might have liked you too if he knew. But there's nothing you or I can do about that now, because you did it and that's that.
But, what you can do is come clean with that guy and tell him you are sorry. Say something like this at the end as well, "I hope you can forgive me. And if not, please tell me something I can do to make you forgive me. I will do anything." And you never know, you two might end up the best of friends.
Just give it a shot, you never know. You never know until you've tried.

My exboyfriend/friend told me he loved me and got me single and commited only to him for two months. Then we fooled around (no sex) and he's not been the same. Tonight He just went off on me for asking him if he lied to me.

I'm really trusting and wanted to believe everything he'd tell me because I really thought he cared. But apparently not.

Well, to be honest, every guy has the potential to be like that guy. Not every one of them are like him, but a third of them are. All you have to do is be carful.
I think there is a reason to be scared because you never know what a guy is like unless you've been friends with them for years and know them well enough. But this isn't always the case.
I think you just need to be careful in who you trust, but, of course, you never know who to trust. But this is OK. Everyone in the world is like that. Some people might not believe their parents in things. It's just the way of life.

So my bestfriend just got a new boyfriend. When they first started going out they really didn't talk much and now he is her whole life. Which means she has forgotten about everyone else including me. We used to hang out all the time but I've only hung out with her twice this summer and both times she has blown me off for her boyfriend. He also isn't very nice to her and will ignore her and stuff. So i just want a nice way to tell her that her friends matter too but I don't want her to get mad at me. So any advice helps. Thank you!

Basicly, one of my best friends did this to me, and it was NOT nice. I thought I had totally lost her because she was always with her boyfriend. But sooner or later she is gonna get her heart broken, don't ya think? And she will probably run straight back to you. This is what happened to me, it really wasn't good.
But the point is, you should just talk to her about it. Ring her one evening and just talk to her about what is bugging you because if she was your friend she would listen and do something about it so you felt much better. She will probably say, "Oh but (name here) and I are in love! There's nothing wrong" blah blah blah. But really, you need to STOP her from going on about him all the time and make her have time for YOU.
Ask her if she wants to hang out at the weekend or something, and get her to promise you so she wont bail. If you ditchs you, then you have that against her (if the worsest comes to worsest).
She will eventually need you when something goes wrong and her boyfriend isn't there or wont give her the time of day to listen. This is why you need to tell her everything that you feel. Just completely vent everything out.
My best friend and I fall out sometimes because the other one is so selfish and only talks about their problems, but eventually we both just vent it out and we are the best of friends. It really works, trust me. Just talk to her about everything that us bugging you, otherwise you are left empty. If she forgets about you, then she is simply not worth it.

So my fiancé and I live in these apartments. We have lived here for about a year.
The office management advertises a "year round" swming pool, however, it's been open maybe 1 or 2 months total this whole year.
For the past month, the pool has not been touched. It is severely green and puts off a rotten smell. We have to walk by it to check the mail.
I was mad that we haven't ever gotten to swim, but I got over it.
It fiancé and I were talking about it to his parents and they said that a pool in that condition is hazardous to you Health because or airborne toxin and suggested that we call the health department right away.
Are they right? Is this somehong that needs to be acted upon??

I would say your fiance's parents are right, and you should call.
The pool shouldn't be green either... There should be a Pool person who comes in every day (or few days) and they look after the pool and keep it in a good condition.
Also, if you have to pay for extras, such as facilities and the up keeping of the pool, you should contact the person in charge etc because that's not on that you have to pay when things aren't getting done.

When you get braces do they put any needles in so they have to numb you like getting a filling?
Nope, NO NEEDLES :D I had braces and it only hurt after you get them on because of your teeth adjusting to them. But that gives you an excuse for eating ice cream for a week after :)

Hey there. I've been through this too, also with a friend. And yeah, it really DOES get annoying :/ But seriously, the way I got over it and solved the problem is to come out with that friend and tell them how you really feel about what they say/do. Because, you wouldn't want it to carry on, as you would get more irritated and eventually just snap at them which wouldn't be good.
What I did was to talk to them about it. After all, a friendshipcomes down to trust, right? So the easiest thing would be honest with them about the matter, and see how it goes. They wouldn't just not be your friend because of it because it's a problem you have and they should at least acknolege that and do something structural about it. Furthermore, they should be glad you were honest.

to make everything short, my ex began courting me again and i said no. but being a human & having those "weaknesses" for the sweet stuff, i kept talking with him even though i knew i shouldn't. my mom ended up finding out that he was courting me and that i didn't tell her. i know it was wrong for me to keep talking to him because i made it seem like he still had a chance with him. well, the problem is that my mom told my dad, and my dad is crazy strict! i have no idea how to face him. any help? thanks!
i know this is hard for you, but your'll just have to talk to him about it. you say he's strict? well i rekon, if he loves you and trusts you enough then he should know that your'll do the right thing in the end. if you confront him, he might think that that's very brave and adult of you to do that... but maybe not. there's lots of possibilities for you, but don't wonder about the worst. you should definatly confront him with this.. and tell him you knew it was wrong and you wont do it again. i think this all depends on how well you get on with your dad even though he's strict.
you could maybe say to him, 'dad, could i talk to you for a second please?' and go from there... maybe he'll know what your wanting to talk about, who knows unless you try.

okay well i was at my job (i clean) and i had stuck my ipod in my shirt real quick. well i forgot it was there and when i bent down to dip my rag in a bucket of water it went tumbling out of my shirt and into the bucket. It worked fine for about 5 minutes and then the backlight went out. I wiped off all the water and set it face foreard to let the water drain. When i went back to loof at it it told me the firewire couldn't be found and to hookit up to my usb cord. well i was at work so i couldn't by the time i got home it was black and it won't charge or anything. i was wondering if when it dries out will it work again or am i probably going to have to get a new one.
Water & electricty don't go, but you probably don'tknow that. You should definitley go get your Nano check out at your local Apple store. I think you may have to buy a new one but i'd wait untill teh iPod is dry before going to the Apple store because it may work again. But it also depends what water it was [i think the person above pretty much covered it :) ]

So, I don't actually believe my Father hates me, but he's deffinetly not like he usto be. He says I've grown up to be a bitch, and all this stuff and he's always accusing me of things I didn't do. He's accused me of stolen beer, messing with the thermostat and missing packs of ciggerettes- when I have two other older brothers who smoke, and drink! I'm 14, I don't drink, I dont smoke, I don't steal I don't anything and my Dad always yells at me. When I ask him for political help for my homework like the war in Iraq, and Isreal and Arabs he yells at me for being soo stupid I don't know, well that's why I go to him! So he can shead some light on the situation and explain things to me. I dont know why he always yells at me. Last year he had a heart attack and hasnt quit anything that would help him- so yehh I usto be horrible with that yelling at him all the time, and just being horrible. ive stopped swearing at him, but he doesnt give me anything to work with. I want him to be there, but he doesn't wanna be. I cook dinner for him, and he always complains that its cold or something and I always say "Well it didnt stop you from eating it" or " If it was so unbareable you couldve heated it in the microwave it's why we have one!" So I know thats being rude, but come one I cook WAY better then my Mother he should be happy! I want him to be, I want him to stop yelling at me all the time, I want him to care about my school day and be there for me. But he's not. He never will be- It's not fair that my brothers do all this stuff and he doesnt do anyything but I forget to start the dish washer and he'll hold it over my head for like years... I am crying right now because it's so hard living here, and putting up with him. I dont know why he doesnt love me enough to quit smoking and I dont know why he doesn't want to walk me down the ile with I get marride. I cant explain why he's always angry with me! Never his sons because they could get arrested and he wont care. And you can say he expects more from me, or whatever. But I wont buy that. If he really truly cared he'd wanna be here and hed want to hear about my day and tell me he loves me but he hasn't. maybe in 3 months..

I can't honestly give you the best advice but i saw your question and that you need help so i'll give you that. You can't blame yourself, it's not your fault at all. You just need to calm down and try thinking about it and mabe your'll come up with something else to try.. Mabe you should talk to your brothers..? Your mom..? or even talk to some of your friends at school or one of teh teachers you liek at school that are good with advice. the best thing is to talk to people about it and espessialy talk to your dad. There wont be a relationship unless you talk to him. I know he shouts but mabe your asking the wrong questions that are making him react in the way he does. I think you could try not to cook dinner all the time unless you ABSOLUTLY HAVE TO, becuase if he's always complaining then why doesn't he do it himself? [mabe you should ask him that when you next cook..?] You should probably ty and hang out with your friends more and see what they say and try be away form the house unless your doing homework, but you could ask your friends if you could go to one of their house's and do homework together..? I'm just trying to think of things that you could try and do and mabe it'll work. Mabe stay away from him sometimes.. mabe talk to hmi sometimes.. but don't be affraid. Confedence and Talking are key to a healthy relationship.

ok i am 15 year old girl and i have had my period before but i havn't had it in a long time. it has been like 10 months. When it was summer i didn't have it at all and i went to the doctor and she said it was because i was in sports and always exersising. But summer ended along time ago and i havnt been exersising like at all. In the 10 months i have probably had it 3 times but only for 2 or 3 days and it was small ones. I know i am not pregnant. I think you either have a funny period patern or it's serious... regardless of which one it is i'd go see your doctor because you never know what could be going on. It's better to be safe then Sorry.

ok. im 16 years old living with overprotected parents. im the type of teenager that does real good in school & never gets into any type of trouble. im the nicest girl you will ever meet. but when it comes to going out with friends & things like that im not allowed to. you should try something like.. 'mum, can i please go out with [whoever] on saturday?' and if she replys like.. 'aww no you can't, i'd rather you stayed here' then you should say 'but i'm missing out on all the fun with my friends.. it's not fair the way they can go out and i'm stuck here missing out on it all, i'm missing the fun in Teenager' something like that... it should work i guess but that's what i'd do.
You should definatly NOT get angry, depresed or stressed because that's probably the worst thing to do.. mabe you should ask your friends what you should do too? mabe they have a good way to talking to parents if they're always aloud out..
