I think I'm gonna pierce my own ear.
I have it pierced twice and my cartilage...but yea...how do I make the needle or w.e clean?

well, this depends on where you're going to pierce it. the farther up your ear you go, the higher the risk of getting an infection. and you should never pierce your own cartilage. in my opinion, it would be easier and for you to go somewhere to get your ears pierced.

Personally, I dont think its a good idea for you to pierce your own ear, but to make the needle clean you should boil it in hot water. And make sure you put ice on your ear when you pierce it. It will make your ear numb.

Take a bowl, fill it with alchohal (sp) and drop the needle in. Let it sit for a few minutes, and that should do the trick!

If you do, heat the needle over a flame and use run=bing alcohol

All I know is to make a needle clean is to put a flame up to it and it should disenfect it.

put in alcohol and hold it over like a lighter that should sterilize it. my friend did her own and she put ice on it to get it numbed and she said it didn't hurt sooo...yeah good luck with it!!!

I wouldn't suggest piercing your own ear, but if you are going to do it anyways, hold it over a lighter. It will sterilize it. Then put it in alchohol. Also make sure to clean your own ear as well.

when i did my own i used peroxide. They never got infected or anything. So i would use something like that. And make sure you clean your ear w/ it too :] goood luck

It's better to get a professional to do it but whatever. My friend once pierced her own ear with a paper clip, it was so gross. you can get that oral number to numb your ear. Or just get lots and lots and lots of ice you have to keep putting the ice on your ear so you don't feel it. You should use at least on 18 gaue wire of any kind. Ex: Ear pin(for beading), Paperclip wire^, An earing, and anything else that's 18 gauge or bigger. To dissinfect the needle, get that anti bacterial gel and put it on the needle and completely clean all of it. then boil some water and get a strainer and put the needle in the strainer. Put the strianer over the boiling water then cover the pot. This is kind of like an autoclave but not as eww. Then get an anatomy book an look up the ear. Or find x-ray pics on the internet. Mark you ear with a non-permenant marker, wher you want your piercing. Then the next step you should get a friend to do for ya. Get an apple an cut two thin pieces off. Put one in front of the ear and one behind it then get the needle and shove it through. ;) Luck :)

You can't realy get it cleaned unless it's autoclaved. Piercing it yourself is very risky business. You need the correct equipment and the placement is crucial.
But that's probably not going to make you stop!..
So boil the needle and earring, use alcohol, sea salt..

all i did was dipped it in like i think its rubbing alcohol.
but if you do something like another cartilage.. make sure it wont hit a vein!
