It really depends on how sensitive you are and how you take pain. Just make sure that you make sure that the needles they are using to pierce your tounge is clean and sterilized, and ask the piercer about the type of tounge that you have. You may also want to read about it on the internet for more information. I hope I helped! [ partygurl24's advice column | Ask partygurl24 A Question ]

the Americcan Academy pf Cosmetic Dentistry had issues a warning that tounge and lip piercings cause health and dental problems. 1. chipped, cracked, or fractured front teeth that can only be repaired with fillings or crowns. 2. infections that easily spreads throughout the body. 3. risk of disease, such as hepatitis. 4. blood loss from broken vessels. 5.irreversible nerve damage. 6. barbells wearing away at gums, which can lead to tooth loss. 7. scars, cysts, and a second tounge,a large lump adjacent to the piercing.
i'm sorry it was so long but i thought i would let you know.

I have 19 piercings, including my tongue
It doesn't hurt at first, but after a couple of minutes it does. IT swells al ittle. You can't eat solid food for a week. After the first week though you don't really notice the pain. =]
Go to tribalic.com and read experiences of tongue piercings. It will help you out a lot!

OooSooPreppyX3 answered Wednesday July 12 2006, 5:36 pm: Well I think that it would really hurt and I think your going through a nerve. Yeah, i think that in advance they would tell you what you need to do to have your tounge not get infected, you'll just need to clean it afterward.
