SHINYTOYGUNSx3 answered Monday June 19 2006, 12:53 am: well...in most cases it means like a "pre" license. you normally get this when you're 14 and 8 months i believe, but dont call me on it. and you dont have to get it exactly when you're able to. this also means you have to be driving with an adult (someone 18+).
BlahBlahBlah answered Monday June 19 2006, 12:09 am: a permit is like a "pre" license. You have to have it for (i think) 6 months before you can get your permanent license. When you have your permit, you have to drive with an adult who already has his/her licence.
jamziix16 answered Sunday June 18 2006, 12:24 pm: Getting a permit means you can drive a car with someone 21+ with you. If you want to get your license at 16, you are required to have a permit. Hope I helped =] [ jamziix16's advice column | Ask jamziix16 A Question ]
soccergurlie1220 answered Saturday June 17 2006, 11:22 pm: In most states you need to be at least 15 but its a "liscens" for 15 year olds to start driving with an adult (21 or older) and they have their permit till they take another drivers test when they turn 16 then they can drive by themselves
fabulous11 answered Saturday June 17 2006, 7:35 pm: Its what you get before you get your licence. You can drive but you have to be with someone over 21
kallan answered Saturday June 17 2006, 7:26 pm: It means that they have been through drivers training and passed and can now drive with anyone over 21 that has a license. [ kallan's advice column | Ask kallan A Question ]
orphans answered Saturday June 17 2006, 6:24 pm: Unless I'm a very stupid person, that person probably means their learner's permit, you know, to learn how to drive. Sorry if I'm terribly wrong. [ orphans's advice column | Ask orphans A Question ]
karenR answered Saturday June 17 2006, 6:20 pm: Probably they mean they got their learners permit. It is a paper saying it is okay to drive between,I think 7am and 7pm with a licensed driver in order to learn how to drive. :) [ karenR's advice column | Ask karenR A Question ]
