Just ask your counselor about it. Cold Stone Creamery gives jobs to 15 year olds with permits, and so does Build A Bear Workshop. Other than that, just ask around.

clearlypink428 answered Monday May 29 2006, 3:26 pm: to be completely honest with you- ive been working since i was 14. i lied about my age- (with influence from my dad) on several applications. i look way older than i am, and i always have. thats prolly the only reason i got my job at a good paying pizza place. you just gotta look around. if you get the job- be a hard worker, and dont make them regret that they hired you. if and when they do find out your real age- if youve been working there long enough- they'll probably let you stay- liek they let me. i wouldnt reccommend doin it this way- because if caught by the wrong business- you can get in a lot of trouble. but as soon as youre fifteen- you can get a work permit through your school. and by the time ur sixteen - you can pretty much get any minimum wage job around. if your enot going to be turning 15for a while- just have fun, and dont worry about getting a job right now. youre going to be working for the rest of your life- so have fun now, while it lasts. good luck, and i hope i helped. fill me in. spitfire9631@yahoo.com [ clearlypink428's advice column | Ask clearlypink428 A Question ]
x_mystery answered Monday May 29 2006, 11:14 am: I know that here in Missouri, at 14 you can get a Workers Permit -- but you are not allowed to handle other people's money. Most places will also not allow you to cook food. At 15, more jobs such as Retail are availible, but you can get a job such as ice cream stands and fast food pretty easy at 15. At 16, most any job opens up to you that doesn't need College education. [ x_mystery's advice column | Ask x_mystery A Question ]
Razhie answered Monday May 29 2006, 10:58 am: In most states the minimum age you can be legally employed in anything other then a family business is 14. However, most laws say you can't handle other people's money until you are 16, so that cuts out quite a few jobs in stores or such. [ Razhie's advice column | Ask Razhie A Question ]
Eustachius answered Monday May 29 2006, 5:11 am: I think it depends on what state you're living in... Here in WA, the minimum age is about 15, I think. Also, you might get paid less as a minor if your employer chooses to do that. A place like Safeway can be a goodplace to start. I began work at a flower farm and loved it! Check around, go to local businesses and not just big companies like Safeway, and ask as many questions as you need to!
