Well, dandruff can be a pain, but they have a new shampoo out there that can get it away. I think you might have dandruff because maybe the shampoo you're using now is drying out your scalp. Hope this helps!

Well, for one, go to the store, any pharmacy and ask about dandruff shampoo's. Or if that doesn't work, there is a skin condition called emphazema (not sure of spelling) and you might have to see a doctor. Hope I helped!

You can try head and sholders.. I`ve found it to work good.. I`ve also found this stuff at walgreens to work well but i`m not sure of the name of it [i know it starts with an N and its in a box and cost around 13 dollars..] it works great... Also before buying any of this try scratching your head real good before you wash it and while your washing it.. It`ll loosen up some of that dandruff and make it less flaky.. ♥Dez

DangerWench answered Tuesday January 24 2006, 2:54 pm:

Try apple cider vinegar. Seriously.

It may be easier to put it in a squirt bottle and apply it to your scalp that way, but coat your scalp with apple cider vinegar, massage it in, and let it sit for about 20 minutes (it varies, you can try less time and see how you do). You can wrap your head in a spare towel if you like, or sit in the tub or stand in the shower for 20 minutes, whatever suits you.

Then go ahead and rinse it out and wash your hair as you normally do. Well, you may want to wash it a few times because of the vinegar smell.

If it still smells a bit like vinegar when you are done, you can try spraying some good smelling conditioner or styler on your hair.

Just do this as needed. After the first few treatments you may only need to do this once a week or once a month. If you start getting flaky again, then use the treatment again.

If this doesn't work, you may have a different kind of dandruff (there are many types), and in that case, other than trying differently formulated dandruff shampoos, you may want to see a dermatologist.

Gabriel answered Tuesday January 24 2006, 1:14 pm:
Neutragena T-Gel. It smells horrible but works better than anything else by far. If this doesn't fix your problem you may want to see a doctor about it. Sounds like a heavy dandruff buildup though. Similar to the "cradle cap" most babies get.

sizzlinmandolin answered Tuesday January 24 2006, 12:32 pm:
There are lots of special kinds of shampoo designed especially for people who have dandruff. My sister had it really bad a few years ago and she started using Selsun Blue. It worked really well. My advice would be to try a few different kinds of dandruff shampoo to see which one works best for you. If you still have major problems with it you can always ask a doctor. Oh, and thank you for not putting this under a category that it didn't belong in. It's annoying when people do that, you definitely made the right choice. That's why they have a "Random Weirdos" or miscellaneous category! I hope I helped and good luck!

I know you can get special shapmoo for dandruff. Try Head & Shoulders. Also, when you condition your hair, don't condition your roots. Make sure all of teh soap is out of your hair and make sure you take a shower every day, but too much showering is bad. ♥ Tiff
