do not get cardboard! they're hard to put in!
tampax pearl is good but i haven't found any smaller than a regular where I am... it's really not that big of a difference. <3 ]
Beinggirl.com is good website to start with. I personally find Playtex the best. It definitely stands out from a lot of the other answers, but I personally think its the best. The other thing you could do is try out various kinds and see which works best. Although I do have to admit, using the website tampax.com will help you start off with tampons. Enjoy!
P.S. And also, ratings would be greatly appreciated. ]
The best tampon to use with an applicator I would say is Tampax Pearl...but wen i first started using tampons I used Tampax Satin Teen...which was made for beginners! So I would recommend that you buy one box of the Satin Tenn, so you get used to tampons..and then get the Pearls! Good Luck!! ♥ caitie

Tampax !

Tampax Pearl. I started out with those and they work excellent. Or really any Tampax brand tampons.
I have tried other brands and i would not suggest you using kotex. i didnt like them and they didnt work for me.
tampaxpearl.com ]
ok Tampax Lites / Juniors. Those are great because they're small enough for girls who are starting off with the whole tampon thing. They come in sizes larger than Lite or Junior of course, but those are the two that I use (but I'm really small and have a light flow).

I also use Playtex Slimfits. They are slightly larger than the Tampax Lites, and have plastic applicators whereas the Tampax Lites have cardboard unless you get Tampax Pearl. To me, the applicator (plastic vs. cardboard) doesn't matter, but I'm so not into the idea of not having an applicator.

Also, Kotex is good.

Just a warning... stay away from generic brands (such as Target brand / Wal-Mart brand / Walgreens brand etc.) because they don't work as well and .. well, not good. [shudders - bad experience.]

i would have to say not tampax pearl.. but tampax JUNIORS because it is aimed for starting girls.. and they are just the right size so it doesn't hurt or anything.. that's what i use and they seem to work wonderfully =] if you need anything else let me know =] i'm here to help ]
These are recommended by my friends::
Try Tampax Pearl at www.Tampax.com
Also look at www.beinggirl.com that has alot of information, about tampons and such.
My mom uses O.B. they don't have applicators though.
Hope I helped/ ]
I agree with the person below me, Tampax Pearls are EXTREMELY comfortable, and I used them when I started using tampons. :) Of course, regular size. ]
The Brand "Always" Are Good. I use them when needed. They are easy to put in and take out. Has an Applicator to,and are good for starters! Here is the Web Site For The Brand:

I'd say Tampax is a very reliable brand. I wouldn't suggest off brands, they can be icky. *bad experience*
