There's a lot of things that could be going through your boyfriends head;
He could be scared that you are going to get too many hours, and pretty soon you guys won't be able to see eachother as much as you're used to.
He could think while you're at work, you could find someone else that you'll start liking and you'll forget about him.
If you really like this job and you're really into it, he could think you'll just forget about him since you like the job so much.
All these reasons and more could lead up to your boyfriend thinking this job isn't right for you. Just ask him about it. I'm sure he'll explain his views on this and why he might feel down about it. ♥

well...obviously he cares about you enought that he would want you to spend more time w/ him instead of your new job. If it were me i would call him and explain to him that i care about him and will still make time for him...but i just need some time for my space. I presume he is really excited for you inside...he just wants to make it more complicated. Thanks!

Its possible that hes scared that your gonna meet a new guy at your work or that you will be too busy for him. reasure him that your with him for a reason and for him not to worry.
