what is the youngest that you, or anyone you know has had sex? im scared my sister in 6th grade is sexual active, and so i was wondering if thats normal? thanks

I think she is way too young. If you have sex before youre 18 its almost as being raped. You should talk with her about sex and tell her to enjoy her childhood being drug and sex free. In my opinion she is WAYY too young. The youngest i ever heard is about 13/14.

look in the news hundreds of girls have sex when their in the 6th grade most are raped though. If your worried your sister is sexually active ask her about it after all you are her older sister and you have to look after her. If she doesn't want you to know etc. etc. give her some time. Are you guys close? that could be the problem shes not telling you. If she doesn't tell you no matter what use your parental unit to get the answers. Thats what their there for.!!! Soo I'm thinking MAYBE you should talk to her about sex and how dangerous it is. and that you can get pregnant and everything. And diseases. Gross her out.
Then later on tell her it was for her own good.
She will understand when she is mature enough

Actually my friend had sex in 6th grade, but that doesn't make it right! She regrets it now and in health we were talkin about this kind of stuff and you need to let your sister know that if she even isn't on her period she can still get pregnent and STD's are starting to become really common but hey if she doesn't care then let her recieve her own consequences because i don't think its right. umm the youngest,that i know of was 12,which is totally too young.I dont think its normal at all,but then again people around that age think its pretty normal.You should really tell your mom about what she does.She is too young and dosent fully know the consequences of her actions.She can end up getting pergnant,getting std's,or get aids.Plus,she could have a really bad reputation of being well the school slut which she really dosent want.Its a pretty important issue.

well i googled it and it said the youngest girl to ever get pregnant was like 6.. BUT tell your sister that if she had her period and she has sex she might get pregnant and tell her how painful it is to go into labor or abortion.

13 is the youngest I think anyone should have sex. Any younger then that and thats just wrong. You should tell someone, or talk to her about it.

6th grade? That's totally not normal and not right. An 11-year-old should not be having sex or even close to it. I think having sex at 15 and under shouldn't happen but that's just me. And for those of you that say age doesn't matter; it does. Even at 11 or 12, a girl could get pregnant or get an STD. Does age still not matter then?

The youngest with some of my friends is like 13 or 14. It is normal to START getting sexually active around that age which is like 12 but actually having sex that young is different. You need to talk to her and you need to be positive that she is having sex before telling someone about it.

it doesnt matter. The maturity level is what means the most. So maybe you should sit down with your sister and talk about it. i know people who were sexually active @ 12. It really does only depend on maturity.

noone is ever too young!it dependes on thier matiorty level!but the youngest person i know was 13 before they became sexually active!maybe sit down and talk with your sister and make sure she knows all the risks to wat shes doing and make sure she knows wat she is doing so she doesnt get a STD!!cuz that would suck!!

Well in Africa little children at ages of 6 have sex. What does that tell you? Just talk to your sister and explain that you are trying to help her, it would be horrible if she caught an STD!

I'm not usually one to say that someone is "too young" because everyone has different maturity levels, but I think it's safe to say that she probably should not be sexually active in the sixth grade. I think someone should AT LEAST be almost done with 8th grade before they have sex, and even then for most people this is much too young and they'd be best off waiting until high school.
This is a tough situation because she's going to do what she wants despite the fact that you want her to do something different. Telling your parents at this point would be bad since you're not completely sure that this is happening. You'd feel really badly if you told this to them and it turned out she wasn't doing anything of the sort at all. If you become absolutely POSITIVE that she is sexually active, then let your parents know. They definitely need to have a talk with her about it.
