However, I think that it may be 13 in America. So try handing out some leaflets, telling people that you're available to babysit. You might enjoy it and you can get payed quite a lot. You could also advertise for other jobs like car washing or pet sitting.
If that's not an option then you could ask your parents if there are any extra jobs you could do for them for money. Things like extra washing up, taking the dog for a walk, washing the car, mowing the lawn etc. [ rainbowcherrie's advice column | Ask rainbowcherrie A Question ]

happy-helper answered Friday November 11 2005, 1:53 pm: Hmm, work with your parents for a set amount each week perhaps? A paper round? Or sell things in school maybe? Or you could do the easy thing and ask for money for Christmas!
Best of luck!

Teza answered Friday November 11 2005, 12:38 pm: At the age of 13, there isn't much you can do. You can do little things to earn some money. For instance, ask you parents to give you an allaunce. You could earn your money by doing chores around the house. Babysitting, helping neighbors. You can't get a real job, so if you want money try doing those things first. At least you will be earning some. [ Teza's advice column | Ask Teza A Question ]
Mackenzie answered Friday November 11 2005, 12:38 pm: I'm sorrie to say, but not a lot of places will hire someone at 13, 14, and even 15. The best thing I can suggest would be delievering news papers and maybe doing some work at a library or animal hospital. However, they might see that as volunteer work, and the possibilty that you wouldn't be paid definitely exists.. However, you'll never know until you ask! Also, you should check with any little local antique stores or Mom & Pop pizza houses. Aside from that, there's babysitting. Try making a bunch of fliers and distributing them on the bullentin boards at your closest couple of grocery stores; free advertising -- that's what it's there for. However, baby sitting is a serious matter. Make shore you know exactly how to perform CPR on infants and toddlers in case of emergency, and once that is all settled, you can add that to your resume. Call them crazy, but parents are more likely to give you their business if they feel their child will be safe with you... Also, raking leaves and lawn mowing! BIG money to be had there! Just don't give up hope - there are always options. :) [ Mackenzie's advice column | Ask Mackenzie A Question ]
NinaB answered Friday November 11 2005, 12:34 pm: I would say babysitting, then again if I had kids I would want someone older than you to take care of them. Ask your parents if you can do anything for them around the house. [ NinaB's advice column | Ask NinaB A Question ]
