Lime wire is the best choice because you are not getting the songs from the record company you are getting them from otha people so its nt illigal(i dpotn think) it is the best choice to go with because it is reliable..... when u dowload it do not get pro get basic!!!! hope i helped!!!! o ya and no it dosent cause viruses

Anything you download from the internet has a possibility to cause viruses. It doesn't matter which program it is. Your best bet is to either stop downloading or get a very good antivirus and keep it up to date.

Ah? Another downloading thing ... maybe bearshare? Winmx? I'm not too keen on if they cause a lot of viruses. Before limewire I had winmx for a few years and never had a problem with viruses.

i have had limewire for 2 years nwo and it has NEVER got me a virus. all thing you need is a firewall.. if you got that then nothin shoudl happen. and if you need help on how to transfor songs from limewire to burn CD's drop it in my inbox and i will gladly help you out.

I don't know if Lime Wire causes viruses or not, I haven't had it before. But you should really check out "Ares", it's a really awesome downloader. I had it for awhile now and didn't have any problem with it, it's great. Just go to [Link](Mouse over link to see full location) and search up "Ares", you'll find the site to download it from.

well i have it and i didnt get any viruses, just make sure you disable shared files. my uncle installed it for me and he said that if people can upload songs from you, they can get your ip # so just make sure you go to options andn fix all that stuff. if you need anything else email me! xonellie143ox@yahoo.com hope i helped!

all my friends have it and they didnt get any viruses, but i did and now my computer is sooo slow. if you have a new computer i think therell be a small risk but if you an old computer dont even think about it, limewire is spyware.
ADDED INFO:by the way bittorent is like limewire and works great with no spyware or viruses its what i use.
