I have thought alot about suicide. Wrote suicide letters, read them over and over. Some days I want to kill myself, others I don't. I was just wondering for someone who is catholic and christian why do these thoughts occur. I believe in God so much and go to church all the time, but yet I have these evil thoughts, what would happen if I were to kill myself, would I go to hell?

Get your self some Niacin you can get it at any GNC or vitamin shop.
It is why suicidal patients get better. Look it up.
Its your only option Most people will be totally cured from depression im a matter of weeks.
I have tried every thing there is and this is the only thing that works.
Dont stop taking it. With out Niacin it is impossible to get better.

Hey. A lot of people in there teen years/early adult years go through this. These thoughts occur because the devil is trying to get as many people as he can. The youth [well, your not a teen anymore, but your still young] is being attacked left and right. 'Specially the ones whom believe in God & go to Church and things.
&& about the killing yourself= going to hell thing. I've heard many different opinions on this. I honestly don't know anymore. I've been through Hell House [it's a thing that our Church puts on every October. other churches do it too]and there was a suicide scene which it talks about how the devil is trying to get into people's minds and things and how all the people that do kill themselves will be "with him soon".

However, I don't think you have an 'evil side', I think you have a mental illness called depression and you need to get help.
I've been there, too. I used to cut myself and stuff.

if you killed yourself, no you wouldnt go to hell, that is if you are a true born again christian. The bible says that nothing can take your salvation away. You believe in God thats all it takes to be his. but, if you did decide to go through with suicide, think about all the people youd hurt..your friends...and think about all the things youd miss out on..

Well, I am Christian, and all I can tell you from this is not to give in to those thoughts. to something gooWhen they come into your mind,change them around to something good and ask God to help you.He is the only answer and the only one that can help you.

I think these thoughts occur because you're walking down the wrong road in your life.
This may sound completely useless, but there are reasons to why you're thinking these thoughts, besides the obviously stated "I am useless."
try to find out why.

Before you can entirely have faith in a superior being, you have to start having a little bit of faith in yourself.

God creates us so He spent time to make you. Don't ruin your life with Him. Just curious, how old are you? If your 15 and below, you haven't even begun to expierence all He has to offer in your life. If your still having thoughts about suicide, talk to someone or write what you feel in a diary. I've been suicidal but I've realized all God has to offer and I hope you will realize it too. I dont know why these thoughts occur.. maybe its just your way of dealing with stress or a bad day ? .. But yes.. accoriding to Catholic Belief (im catholic) .. you would go to hell if you killed yourself.. however i believe everyone has a chance to regain their innocence in pergatory. Maybe instead of writing suicide notes.. you could write a note to who/what made you angry/sad or whatever in the first place.

I have suffered from chronice severe Depression for many years. I am also a Christian. I can't answer whether or not you would go to hell for killing yourself but that really isn't the point here is it? You asked this question looking for help. The best thing you can do for yourself is to see a mental health professional. Your doctor can advise you on this and give you a referral.
If this is an ongoing thing, you may have a chemical imbalance that causes you to be prone to this condition. This can easily be corrected by using the proper medication. I went through several before finding the right medication and dosage. Hnag in there and see your docor right away. Please?

According to Catholic belief, yes you would go to hell. Is suicide worth it? No, and not even just for religious reasons, for moral reasons as well. Talk to someone, a parent, a friend, a relative, a psychologist, do something. Suicide is NOT the way to go.

I'm a Christian so maybe i can help. First of all, sounds like major depression and you have to take care of that. I've known a ton of people who cut and think about suicide and the first step i tell them to take is to stop thinking about that!!! If you believe in God then you know that there's a purpose in your life and that God loves you so much. That in itself is a great reason to stay alive. You have so much to live for. I can't tell you exactly why you feel this way, but i'm sure you already know why. But God isn't sending these feelings of suicide. It's demonic so when you have these bad days, just start praying to God to help you and He definitely will. God says in the Bible that your body is the tabernacle of God (if you're a true believer). This means that we shouldn't purposefully harm ourselves in any way, and that totally includes suicide. If you're a Christian then i don't think you'd go to hell but God doesn't want you to kill yourself. So think of all the things and people you have to live for. Don't give in to these thoughts.
