i would choose a pug but when people walk by they can be a little over protected and my bark until you yell at them to stop they can only go on walks for a little while b/c they can get overheated easilly but are great at playing tug-a-war. i would also suggest a chiuahhu mini

-you could get a kitty
-guiney pig - u can get little harneses to put on them and they come w/ a leash! ¦-)
-gerbils - love attention!
-you might even be able to get a small, quiet dog - maybe keep it outside!

I think you should get a cat because they don't stink to eaisly and they are quiet but you don't need a DOG! They are loud and they stink but not CATS.

Well i think what you are looking for is a dog. They are playful , you can take them on walks . Also you can train them to be quiet *&* not bark. You can teach them trick's (ex: sit , lay , rollover , speak , ect) And if you give him a bath regulary then he should smell fine. If you get a puppy you will have to potty train him . Chewshi answered Saturday October 8 2005, 6:59 pm:
If you're up to a challenge, you can get a breed of dog that doesn't bark too much, which means no pomeranians or chihuahuas. My dog is usually quiet and doesn't stink unless we give her a bath (WET DOG!!! RUN!!!). I have never owned a cat before, but I have heard that they are low-maintenance and are usually quiet. If you want the most interactive pet possible according to your parent's guidelines, I would go with the cat, because you can't expect your dog to be quiet all the time, while even if cats meow it isn't very loud. However, whatever pet you choose, I hope you have fun with it!

I think you should get a hermitcrab. It doesn't take alot of resonsability.Or if your not ready you shouldn't have a pet at all.Do you know why?Yes,because a hermitcrab is the perfect pet for you!

I think that you should choose a dog. Dog's are very good companions and if you feel like you have nobody to talk to, it always feels good to just take your dog in your room, shut the door, and just start talking to it. Call me crazy, but it's the truth. Dog's can be a big responsibility at times, but I think personally that it all pays off. You don't want a pup probably because they are WILD, I would go with like a 6+ dog. They are very good. I myself have a Lassie dog. Dog's can be relaxing, but for younger kids or teenagers, they can be very fun to play with and it is nice to just take a walk. You and your dog. Well, I hope my advice helped in your decision.

Chihuahuas are awesome. I have one and its playful doesnt smell and you can train it not to bark. Also if you do choose that socilize it with other dogs and people at an early age so its not mean. Or a ferret i know someone who has one and its cool.

*ashlee* answered Sunday September 18 2005, 7:53 pm:
you could try a cat. theyre litter boxes stink to high heaven, but if you train it to be indoor/outdoor (like my cat is) then it will just go outside when it needs to and wont stink at all. theyre fun to play with and theyre cute and sweet, and they dont make any noise. ALSO, someone mentioned getting a chihuahua. thats the dumbest thing you could do. sure theyre barks are small. but theyre also non stop, and its not like you dont hear them at all. its a little high pitched bark and they are almost impossible to completely house train. good luck with finding something you like

well the only thing you can walk is a dog so if you want something to walk get a dog...basically all anmials will play with you unless it's got some issues. hamsters and jerbles cages smell after awhile not sure bout rabbits birds are loud..most of them..i'd suggest a dog, cat, rabbit, cause those things will play with ya. If your still not sure go to a pet store look around ask someone to help you and tell them what type of animal your looking for. HOPE I HELPD!

Saynotogymclass answered Sunday September 18 2005, 6:12 pm:
Rabbits are quiet and don't stink too bad. I don't know much about them, but I do know that my neighbors got an outside hutch for their rabbits and a bear came and rippied it open. The rappits were gone. So don't get an outside hutch. Get a metal cage maybe.
