Q: ok what is the best kind of pet for a starting out couple who just moved in together and are planning on getting married? my fiance works days and i do too. we get home typically him at 5 me at 3. and we leave in the mornings at like 6. we both love all kinds of animals, and want to get a pet to share our lives with since we are not ready for kids yet. what kind of pet would be the best pet to get. we are not allergic to anything and if you are just going to say "cat" or "dog" please specify a breed and why so that we can be educated about it before we make our desicion. thank you so much and i promise to rate every answer i get!

I'm sorry that I can't tell you a breed... but I think that a cat would be the best pet for you. Cats are low - mantenance and don't need attention 24/7, they can take care of themselves when you can't. However, if you are up for more of a challenge, you could settle with a dog - I have a beagle who sleeps all day until I get back from school, however if she can't get outside to do her buisness, she'll go on the carpet like any other dog. A dog would require a dog - door - which will require money and if you ever decide that the dog doesn't work for you, there'll be a hole in your door forever, whereas with a cat, you can crack a window large enough for them to slink through - this is what my friend does. Again, I'm sorry I couldn't give you a specific cat breed, but I hope that I helped!!!

I'm sorry! I've been in this same situation numerous times - exept I would be the one that introduced the two. They would always want to be with eachother and make plans with the other when I stood right in front of them. It drove me up the wall! However, I'm not the most brave person and I didn't say anything, I just watched them. If you're talking to them, then that's really great! They may get mad at first, but someday they're going to go home and think, 'why am I being such a jerk?' Things will slow down really soon and your friend will come back to hanging out with you, but remember that her new friend will most likely not be pushed out of the picture - she'll still be there, just not as much! Soon you'll be with your friend just as much as her new one, but I can't guarantee that you'll get more time with her. I'm sorry that my advice couldn't be more... optimistic, but I really hope that things turn out awesome for you!!!

Q: ok look everyone is accusing me of making up a very ugly and nasty rumor like the whole school, but i know i didint do it because i was one of the last ppl to find out, what should i do> also my friend thinks i was talking bad about her bbehind her bakk with these other boys, but i wasent they were and i was just defending her then i told her it wasent true but she sais she dosent belive me and belives the person that told her that. i dont know what to do plz helpme

Wow, you're in quite a pickle! For the rumor, it will die down if you just ignore what people say to you. One boy got hold of the fact that I went out with another boy and teased me about it - he faked my voice and everything. I just gave him a dirty look and continued on with my work. He dropped it right then - I never heard anyone else tease me on that subject again. If the whole school knows, it might take a bit longer, but people are hypocrits - they tell you not to do stuff when they themselves do it, too. Soon another rumor will pop up that will shrink yours to the size of a grain of rice. Meanwhile, show those people that some untrue, meaningless words won't leave a single scratch on you!
Your friend is probably confused about the talking behind her back thing. My best friend is just like that - she can't stand it when anyone says something about her when she's not in the room. Even if you truly were talking about her, everyone needs to complain to someone before they completely blow in front of the person who is ticking them off. If she can't accept that, then she's not worth it. But you weren't even doing that, you were defending her, and she still won't get the picture... ask her truly who she would rather believe: A group of low - life, lying boy scum or you, her friend who would never do anything to hurt her! That should get her thinking relationship wise, and teach her never to trust boys - they lie to get themselves out of trouble! I'm sorry I couldn't tell you more - I really hope that things work out for you!

Q: We have had our dog since I was young, for many years. I mean, like since I was 9 and now I'm 16. My mom used to work nightshift but now she works dayshift, and my dog cant handle her not being here. She's worked dayshift all summer but we were always home, and now that nobody is home during the day we put her in a cage. The problem is she gets out of the cage!! Even when we tied the cage with a rope!
My mom closes her bedroom door during the day because she doesnt want Hero out in the living room, but she ripped up my moms carpet at the door and pooped and peed in her bathroom. This is like the 3rd time she's done it...and now my parents are going to get rid of her!! I dont know what to do...I love my dog and I dont want to get rid of her...but my parents dont like her anymore...I dont know what to do!! Advice please!

I can totally relate - my dad is threatening to send my dog away because she has made a few accidents. I am really shy and I am completely scared of my dad, therefore I can't talk to him face - to - face on this manner. So, I wrote him a note and left it on the kitchen counter saying, "I just want you to know that Maisie is the most important thing in the world to me. If you follow through with this, it will take me years to get over it!" It seemed to loosen my dad up a little bit. One of every parent's main priority is to keep their children happy - they can't stand to see them depressed. I think that speaking to them face to face will have more effect than a note, and if you promise to think of a way to keep your lovable little pooch in control, then they won't hesitate to take back their threats!
Tip: You dog most likely relieves herself in the bathroom because she has no way of getting outside - if you have a backyard, try keeping her out there until you get back from school or your parents get back from work. Now that her scent is in the bathroom, head over to the pet store - they usually have products that get rid of scents like that which will kill the scent from even your dog's nostrils! Make sure you clean those spots really well. Also, dogs usually get very depressed in a cage and desperately try to get out. I'm sorry that I can't think of any other solutions! I hope that I helped!

No! Did you know that most parents of different races warn their children of this type of person? I should know - I'm one of these children. You don't want your cousins and their father to be one of those people that are feared like this. If they're the best cousins ever, then they should understand when you tell them that they're going way too far. Just tell them that one color can never, ever make a rainbow - mention that without all of the other countries, America never would have existed and we would be thought of as Asian, which is not white. They should understand you completely if they're truly your cousins ;).

Oh, I'm sorry! I've had a couple of friends who have done the same thing. A couple of them were introduced to eachother by me, and together they seemed to push me out of the picture. This settled down after a while. It took a while more than a month, but I'll bet you that soon you'll all start to sway in harmony. If you guys were that close, she'll soon loosen up and come back to you!!!

If you're up to a challenge, you can get a breed of dog that doesn't bark too much, which means no pomeranians or chihuahuas. My dog is usually quiet and doesn't stink unless we give her a bath (WET DOG!!! RUN!!!). I have never owned a cat before, but I have heard that they are low-maintenance and are usually quiet. If you want the most interactive pet possible according to your parent's guidelines, I would go with the cat, because you can't expect your dog to be quiet all the time, while even if cats meow it isn't very loud. However, whatever pet you choose, I hope you have fun with it!

Q: How should I ask a girl if she will go out with me?
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
Don't flat out ask her if she wants to go out with you - it may make her panic and overreact, and she'll be fidgety on your date. Tell her that she can invite a friend if she wants and invite one of your own friends that'll do something like this for you and will most likely get along with her best friend. Go somewhere public that won't make her feel nervous about you, and be nice, listen, and ask her if where you're going is okay! Do whatever it takes to loosen her up.

Q: Hey Everyone! Well in my town school has already started and I gate it w. a passion. lol. I'm trying to get my schedule re- done so I could take a couple of different electives because I hate mine. On top of my school problems my mom decided to bring home a huge brazzilion mastiff. (If ne of you have tht dof you know how big they get) Before my mom bought home this new dog I had a dog of my own- a miniature bishon frise. Now I feel like the new dog is trying to take the place of my other 1 and I HATE my new dog. I know it sounds mean but its true. I'm really stressed out about the new dog I have to live with and school in general. What are some things that I can do to relax and get all the stress out of my system?? Any help about the situation with my dogs would be really appreciated as well. Xo> Thnx in advance.

I have a dog as well, and I'm sure that I would be angry if this new dog came and tried to take the place of her. However, just remember that a dog doesn't think that way! Your new dog just wants attention. There is no shame in loving your first dog more, but this new dog is, in fact, a living animal that doesn't know any better, and deserves a little bit of affection every once in a while. When I first got my dog, she was hyper and demanded our attention, but after a few months she settled down and respected us. Give your new dog a little bit of time and I'm sure things will settle down!

I'm 13 as well, and I don't believe I am allowed to date either. I like this guy alot and have the feeling that he likes me, but I respect my parent's opinion - my mother doesn't want me dating until I start high school and my dad hasn't mentioned anything about age, just how picky he may be about him. Be nice and understanding about this situation, and if you do get asked out, try to make it a double-date with a friend that your parents love, and they may loosen the knot a little. Let them know that you can trust them. Being eager makes them nervous about them letting you, they probably think you'll move to fast if you bring this up too much. Go somewhere that is totally public so they don't worry at all about 'being alone.'

Q: In the last week or so, my one guy friend started flirting with me. And on Friday he sat with me and my friend at lunch. He sat by me and kept flirting by me, but I wasn't really thinking of it as flirting cause I didn't think he liked me. Turns out that night when we were IMing each other I said something like who do you think I should go out with and he said me. And i was just like...? And he was like you know I'm serious didn't you notice me flirting with you at lunch today. Then he asked me out and I said yes. Like an hour later he IMs me right when I came back from being away and said hey (my name) i was thinking and I like another girl too. And I don't wanna be going out with you when I like another girl too. So sorry but i guess its over. Does anyone have any idea why he did that in the first place? Or if it was just a joke? Or what?
I'll rate for good answers!

If he's your true friend, then he can take a little bit of your yelling at him. I have a friend that I IM with, and he told me that he had a new girlfriend that his parents loved, then fifteen minutes later he asked me to turn on my webcam, which always got me nervous because he could be a little... perverted. So I refused, and he kept urging me until I blew up and screamed at him about personal privacy and sexual abuse. He finally calmed me down and told me that I didn't have to do it, and I asked him about his girlfriend and what she would do. He told me that he had made her up to make me jealous. Of couse, I got mad at him again, but this isn't the point. He could be making this girl up to make you jealous and to test if you would get angry or upset. He might not be assured that you really want to go out with him. Boys are, after all, really weird in these situations! See if he ever mentions this girl again. If he does, then ask who the lucky one is. You should get a good answer, and not just some cheesy name if she's real!!!

Q: I have just gone into seventh grade this year, And me and my friends all want to decorate peoples lockers for their birthdays. But my one friend doent seem like she wants me to help. I was just on the phone with her and she was getting ready to go in early tomorrow to decorate one ofour friends lockers. But when I asked her if I could help she was just kinda guiet and said, "I don't Know." And when she was talking about all the lockers she was going to decorate I said, "Yeah, you and me will have to go in and decorate them together." When I said that she was jsut kind of quiet. And when I asked if that was o.k, she just said really quietly. " I guess So." So I can't tell if she wants me to help or not. We are both friends with the same people. I ust don't kow why she is acting so weird. If someone could PLLLEASE right back ASAP, that would be great!

Hey,
I have a feeling that your friend might want to do this by herself... just to show that she cares for the friend and that she wants to give them this present by herself instead of looking cheap and just joining in with someone else, which is probably what she thinks the impression of the locker owner will get. Maybe you should stand out and do something else, like make fabulous cards or something really creative. If you guys are planning to decorate the inside of someone's locker, then this would probably be against the rules and you could get in trouble, anyways. Nothing is really worth that!
At my school, everyone makes signs to hang around their necks that says something like, "Give me a hug - it's my birthday!" Maybe you could make something like that for your friends - it's completely dress code safe and it gives more recognition than a decorated locker!

Q: 14/f. Here's the thing. I am so in love (ok, like) with this guy. There's only one problem-He's my teacher! But he's so hott! He's also funny, nice, and smart. I really like him, but I don't want to b/c he's too old for me, and nothing's ever going to happen between us. How can I convince myself to not like him?

First of all, I want you to know that there's no shame in being attracted to someone, no matter who he is, because you can't control it. However, I do agree that this is just weird and unrealistic, no offense. Try looking at the guys in your grade and talking to them. I myself have a big crush on this guy who's really, really nice to me, while I'm not quite as interested in my other crush, whom I only feel attracted to because he's cute. Pay attention to a few boys your own age and possibly talk to the one who sits next to you in class, and you'll eventually develop a better crush than your teacher!

Q: In elementary school I was a straight-A student. Suddenly in the 7th grade, everything's different. I am soooooooo disorganized! I always get the format for the HW wrong or don't understand the assignment.
I just got a progress report:
English A-
Science B
Math F
History N/A
Spanish C
This is sooooo embarassing! An F! Isn't it awful? I failed a quiz, got a B+ on my exam, and failed all of my homework, usually because it isn't in the correct format (the progress report came out before I got my exam back). I feel so terrible---I go to a private school and everyone gets A's! Am I stupid or something because I'm so disorganized? How can I be more organized? About how much more of the 1st quarter do 7th graders have? 7th graders, could you give me an idea of when it ends???
thx

Oh! I am so sorry... I'm an eighth grader now and I know exactly how you feel. I'm a straight A student as well, and a few weeks ago I brought home a progress report with three B-'s in the three most important classes. Just remember that this is only a progress report and that you can change these grades at any time! Talk to your teachers about extra credit. If you find a 0 and you're pretty sure you turned it in, then ask your teacher about no - names or the possibility of them misplacing it (That happened to me a lot last year, especially with new teachers). I'm sure your teachers will give you a way to boost that grade! After that, do something really fun that will brighten up your mood - an outing for ice cream with some friends and maybe seeing a funny movie always helps me out.

Wow... this is quite dramatic. Well, I think you should maybe buy/make her a card that sympathises (Amd I spelling that right?). Let her know that everything will be alright. Maybe you should take her out for ice cream or on a trip to the mall. Do something really fun that will get her mind off of it for a few hours.
