Hey, you know the neospharen (spelling) stuff people use to prevent scars? Well my acne is actually finally clearing up and i have some scaring (i think) on my cheeks, can I use it after i wash my face and put my medicine on, or will it just make it worse?
Xo_Ashie_oX answered Thursday August 4 2005, 1:38 pm: neosporin works well, but theres a risk itll make your acne come back... i use mederma and it works well... its quite pricy tho... can range from 13- 30 $$ but it works really well... shea butter also works... but its pretty greasy, so if you put it in the fridge before you put it on, it shouldnt be as apt to give you more acne... sorry im not of much help... Nevaeh314 answered Wednesday August 3 2005, 10:33 pm: Neosporine is excellent, clears up minor cuts, scars, etc... in a few days if you put it on about twice a day. But if it's acne, or scarring from acne, I would suggest using Cortizone-10. It's a cream that you get over the counter, and it /really/ works. I light acne and heat rash on my arms, and it cleared it up in like 2 days, and I'm using it to take care of any scarring. It's awesome. :) Hope this helps.

ello_there_matie_lol answered Wednesday August 3 2005, 5:27 pm: yes it does! it actually helps reduce redness on exsisting acne, too!
IndieKidsCanRock answered Wednesday August 3 2005, 4:32 pm: ♥No! Don't put neosporin on your face. It's meant for minor cuts, you put the gel on before the cut even gets to a scar, you don't just apply it to an already formed scar. Acne scars are different anyways. Go to a dermatologist and show him/her that you have scarring, they will prescribe you with a gel or cream that will help scarring. I suggest using this one and the acne medication to prevent future breakouts. [ IndieKidsCanRock's advice column | Ask IndieKidsCanRock A Question ]
sweetjewel answered Wednesday August 3 2005, 3:33 pm: i dont think so.. it should be fine but you could also use mederma because my oldersister uses that for her scar and its clearing up nicely [ sweetjewel's advice column | Ask sweetjewel A Question ]
azngemini answered Wednesday August 3 2005, 3:14 pm: I'm not sure if neosporin will actually help to heal your scars because it could clog your pores and cause more pimples to form. you can buy this over the counter product called Neutrogena Acne Fading Peel. I have it, but I only use it like once a week, so I dont kno how well it works, but I've heard that it's very good.
Michelley answered Wednesday August 3 2005, 3:11 pm: i wouldn't put that stuff on your face..it can clog your pores and give you more zits! its like gooey like vasaline. i just saw a comercial for this mask. its called Neutrogena Advanced Solutions Acne Fading Peel. it helps get rid of scars and treats the acne you already have so its like double good. you can check it out on this website: [Link](Mouse over link to see full location)

DaysGoBy answered Wednesday August 3 2005, 2:48 pm: Neosporin is greasy and could cause you to break out more, but if you only put it on the spots that need it it shouldn't be too much of a problem. Neosporin helps if you put it on open cuts and such to help heal faster and prevent scaring it won't help much if any at all on old scars. You could go to wal mart and try some cream or gel made specifically for reducing scars that are already there...
