It is normal for the doctor to do that. Every so often more like once or twice a year the have to do that to see if your developing "nicely" as they put it. But when you get older or you become sexually active you have to go see an ob-gyn which will seem so much more worse. but dont worry and there isnt anyway to get them to stopp im very sorry

Grossed Out,
You have a reason to be grossed out! How old were you when this happened? The only reason I can think of that a doctor would have any reason to do something that nasty is if you just started your period or if you had an infection of sorts. If you had neither problem, then the doctor should not have looked down your pants! That is NOT normal for doctors to do. I've been to many doctors, men and women (I prefer women), and there has only been one time that something like that happened to me. I was six years old and the doctor did that (it was a routine check-up). I never went to that doctor again. I remember things like that because they make me uncomfortable, even as young as six years old.

The doctor shouldn't look down your pants, and if they try, simply stop them. Say, "I'd rather you not do that. I am not in pain, nor is there anything wrong with me. I do not need you to look there." If that doesn't work, physically stop them from looking. I have hurt my share of nurses and doctors because they've done something that has scared me emotionally. I once hit a nurse in the face. I was little, but who cares. If the doctor still tries to look, tell them they better have a reason to look, backed up with reaserch as to why it is important to look. Also, you could say, "I must go to the restroom. I'll be back in a second." And never come back. I have done this also. (FYI, I HATE doctors. )

I also refuse to take off my shirt and shorts/jeans in a doctors' office for a check-up. I don't think it's essential for me to take of my clothes for them to just hear me breathe, look in my ears etc. I have walked out of a doctors' office when the nurse said that I needed to take of my shirt. Seriously. I am very opinionated, and I stick to those opinions. I don't think I have to take of my shirt, and I feel very sick, perverted, vulnerable, and... well... slutty. I know some of those are not true, just because I take off my shirt in a doctors' office doesn't make me a slut, but that's how I feel. Part of just how I grew up and learned and the atmosphere I grew up in. Maybe you don't mind taking off you shirt or shorts, but I do. I can imagine how you would feel if they looked down your pants. I would scream (maybe not very nice words), hit, punch and kick the crap out of that doctor. I don't care what they think, if I'm not in pain, infected or something, then there is NO reason for the doctor to invade my privacy like that.

I'm not old enough to go to a gynocologist now, but in a few years, I will be. I'm terrified of that. I can not imagine having to be completely undressed in a doctors office, with some stranger poking and prodding around. Yes, I know what they do, but I am not sure I'll go when I'm eighteen. I'm not sexually active, nor will I be at the age of eighteen. If I'm not in pain, I don't see why they should invade my privacy.

"If it ain't broke, don't fix it!" -- This applies in more way than one.

So, all I can say is that the doctor has no reason to invade your privacy like that, and if they try, just stop them any way you can. You know I would.

Well its just sometimes they have to.
But if you dont feel comfertable with a man doctor then ask a nurce to stay in the room or ask to be changed to a women doctor.
And as you get older youll have to get full viginal checkups. I meen its not best felling but what can you do.
Oh and if you fell that u are not being touched in a right wayhthen tell your mom. Hope that i helped.

yes for check ups they do that...its retarded i swear! i think you can actually tell them to stop and still be healthy. they havent checked that out since like 2 years before i started puberty and my downstairs is perfectly healthy. if you dont like it, dont let them or ask to have a female doctor check you out. <3
