Lacy answered Monday June 20 2005, 7:46 pm: I would have to say that a good sense of humor is important in a friend. It's my personal favorite.
Generosity is important too. You want a friend who will share stuff and not hog all the popcorn at the movies. Lol.
It's also important to have a friend who cares. I always know my friends will be there for me if I need them, even though they tease me all the time! [ Lacy's advice column | Ask Lacy A Question ]

xOtWiXi answered Friday June 17 2005, 11:35 pm: These are my standards for a good friendship:
RESPECT - if they don`t respect you, they aren`t your friend.
HONESTY - a true friend would tell you when you look like you have too much makeup on or if you looked like a slut at the dance.
CARING/LOVING - a true friend shows compassion for you.
RESPONSIBLILY - a friend who goofs off and leaves it all to you doesn`t respect you at all.
Courtney answered Friday June 17 2005, 11:04 pm: Trust= someone you can tell things and you'll be certain that they won't betray you.
Honesty= someone who will be honest regardless of certain circumstances.
Good listener and Sincere= you want someone who'll listen because that really is a big test of friendship itself . When a person if sincere to you fully, it shows truly how much they do care.
But let me give you some extra advice. I know that you asked for qualities in a friendships but with different people, there are different qualities that they look for in a friend. This is because people have different things that appeal to them. Try to find out what appeals to you in a person, then make your decision from there. It's all really up to you. Hope I was some help and good luck with it all. [ Courtney's advice column | Ask Courtney A Question ]
