That way you can maintain a healthy weight but not starve yourself. And oh yeah, maybe you should tell your parents what has been going on. No matter how many people you get advice from, your parents always give the best.

It actually makes you gain weight because once you start to eat again your body is not used to it and your metabolism can't get going to burn it off! If you want to lose weight a healthy way I think that you should just try and eat healthier (don't skip meals or throw them up), and excercise. Try doing crunches or situps to tone up your stomach, and just do aerobic excersises to help you keep fit. For instance try running, jogging, walking, biking, or any other sports, basically anything to get your heart going.

oneandonly345 answered Tuesday April 26 2005, 3:46 pm: okay .. first off. your not fatt. no one is fatt. and if they tell you you are fatt. dont listen. but i understand were you are comming from. but it isn't safe not eating. i would just start eatting little by little and eat only good foods. and make sure you excersize good. and you will probably add a little weight onn, but you wont add to much, and you will be much healther.
and if you stop now, you wont die, but if you keep going like this, you will get sick .
also, if you eat 3 healthy meals that is good. because it gets your motabolism *sp* moving.
best of luck .

Saynotogymclass answered Tuesday April 26 2005, 3:28 pm: That was really wrong of you dance teacher to tell you that. Doesn't she know that this would happen???? Well anyway, at most dance schools they dont even care, so why not switch dance schools and get out of this situation before it gets worse!! If you still want to stay, Keep eating normally and exercise A LOT!!! If you eat right AND exercise you'll be fine. It's all about a balance. Think of this: YOU ARE RUINING YOUR LIFE OVER A DANCE TEAM!!! [ Saynotogymclass's advice column | Ask Saynotogymclass A Question ]
Shelly_x answered Tuesday April 26 2005, 3:24 pm: You have to start eating. skipping meals doesnt help!!! your whole body starts to shut down (read magazines and it will tell you how dangerous not eating can be) It will probably be hard for you to just start eating again so try a little bit at a time. tell your parents they ill understand! and for this dance team, i'd join another one. Your friend is looking out for you and you have to belive her!

rainbowsend answered Tuesday April 26 2005, 12:18 am: I'm no doctor, so I'm not going to jump in and diagnose you as an anorexic, because that's not my place.
I do however think that you should see a doctor. And I think you do need to tell your parents- I know it's scary, and I know you don't want to hurt them, but they care about you, and will be able to help you.
If you really aren't comfortable going to your parents, talk to another adult. A neighbor, aunt, a friend's mom, a teacher, someone at church, a school nurse or counselor... just please tell someone! Talking to your friends is good, but there's only so much another teen can do for you.
I also question your involvement in this dance team... is anything worth that much stress? Is it worth making yourself starve for? I think this is also something you need to think seriously about and talk to someone about when you start to deal with your diet issues.
Igotamonopoly answered Monday April 25 2005, 11:43 pm: You are anorexic. I'm sorry that your dance team was so unrealistic. I am 100% sure that you look sexy and pretty and amazing! All I can say is talk to a counselor or im me anytime at igotamonopoly, I'm always on. Talking this through will help. I can empathize, I tried not eating for a week or two, didn't work for me. Also, not eating will make you gain MORE weight, once you do start eating. All you have to do is exercise nad eat in moderation. Good luck!! lyDia_LoU answered Monday April 25 2005, 10:40 pm: I watched a movie on bulimics in health last week, and even though that was a little different...but neways, You Have to tell ur parents. Or another adult that you trust. You might scare them but you really need to. What I really recomend is telling your parents and then look for a counselor either at school or somewhere else that can help. There's people that specialize in helping you. Or, you could just start eating. To lose weight you could eat better and work out about 3-4 times a week- or go for a jog everyday. But do something to help yourself!

xOxHOLLiSTERxOx answered Monday April 25 2005, 10:39 pm: just eat healthy food 3 times a day ((breakfast, lunch, and dinner)). don`t skip anymore meals because that is a bad way to lose weight and you`ll have a harder time concentrating in school. your eating habits can get worse too and you can get anorexic if you keep skipping meals. for breakfast you should eat foods like fruit, something with protein, or something with fiber. do the same thing with lunch xcept you can have some kind of snack like chips if you want but don`t eat some kind of fatty food like that everyday. for dinner you should eat some kind of vegetable, protein, and some kind of grain. that way your diet is balanced and you won`t have to worry about losing weight really fast. you can go to [Link](Mouse over link to see full location) and type in your height and how much you weigh and it will show you if you`re in your weight range. make sure you exercise too! ♥ [ xOxHOLLiSTERxOx's advice column | Ask xOxHOLLiSTERxOx A Question ]

If you are not eating at all, you are definitely anorexic, whether you choose to believe it or not. And of course, if you keep up with this, you will die...of starvation that is.
To put it simply, since you are depriving your body of needed nutrients and calories, your metabolism has plummeted. What does this mean? Once you start eating again, you're going to be gaining pounds as fast as you lost them. You're metabolism has to be fast in order to burn fat, and to make it fast you have to eat and exercise. Where when you starve yourself, your body reacts to food by storing the fats as a defensive mechanism in case you choose to starve yourself again. It's just trying to keep you alive dear.
To be healthy, and lose weight, it's old fashioned and simple...
EAT HEALTHY AND EXERCISE AT LEAST 3-5 TIMES A WEEK.
