You have to ask your doctor on that one. Those weight / height charts are all out of whack. For example, I would be emmaciated at my "correct" weight because of my German bone structure which is so dense that it prevents me from floating, no lie. On the other hand, the child of an Asian person and Scandinavian person would likely frequently come up as underweight due to a large height and lighter bone structure. Even if you don't ask your doctor, that should give you somewhere to start from.

Your doctor might have one of those chart things. You could ask to see it. If you're not going to see your doctor in a while then im sure you could find the chart on the internet somewhere.

Daisy answered Monday April 18 2005, 5:05 am:
You need to calculate your BMI (Body Mass Index). If you type it into a search engine you will find out. If you are 18.5 or below you are underweight, 18.5-24.9 you are at a normal weight and anything above is overweight.
A lot of people who think they need to lose weight actually don't - what they do need to do is to tone up. Not only will this shift the bits you hate (Tummy, thighs etc) but it will also give your body new definition and a much more flattering appearance. If you don't mind running then go running for 25 minutes a day and within just a week you will notice a difference. If you don't like running then try a pilates class or get a pilates book which shows you they excercises step by step.
Also drink 2litres of water a day - you feel so much better I promise!
Let me know if you need any more advice and good luck!
