I just got my report card this past friday. It said that my grade point average is 3.95 which is really good. but when i started look at what i got (A A-) it said I had straight A's, A-'s A+'s and I was confused. I get to see my grade a week before they come out, and my science teacher said i was getting a B- then, on the report card it said A+...i don't understand that..can someone explain?

Or your teachers just told you that you got a B- to make things difficult. My teachers do that all the time. [ Karen's advice column | Ask Karen A Question ]
isurfinpink answered Sunday April 17 2005, 11:04 pm: Well, sometimes teachers can really lose it...so it could've been cuz the teacher was looking at someone else's name or cuz they lost one of your assignments and then they found it. It pretty much could've been anything. If you did extra credit and the teacher forgot to count it, that could be why. I think that you should go and talk to the teacher about it and ask why it went up to an A+. Then you should figure out why. hope i helped.....

mapetiteodette answered Sunday April 17 2005, 9:04 pm: I believe that you should ask your teacher if the grade is correct, just to make sure. Even though it might hurt your grade, isn't it better knowing that you actually have the grade that you got than not knowing if you actually earned it? If you aren't worried too much that it might be a mistake, then just ignore it. Be proud! [ mapetiteodette's advice column | Ask mapetiteodette A Question ]

Or, she could have just told you that to throw you off. My teachers do that all the time. [ xXxpinky615xXx's advice column | Ask xXxpinky615xXx A Question ]
o0xbrianna answered Sunday April 17 2005, 7:52 pm: Maybe you got a B- when your teacher told you that but it could be possible that they didn't add the rest of your grades in there. Don't even worry about it, you got an A+ anyways!
LiLJaZzY answered Sunday April 17 2005, 7:42 pm: hmm well maybe it was just a typo on your report card..or your teacher thought it out and decided you deserved and a..and if its neither of them then dont worry about it! who cares even if it was a typo or anything else be proud 3.95 is really good..be grateful and stop quastioning everything :) x0ox <3 [ LiLJaZzY's advice column | Ask LiLJaZzY A Question ]
gakkuhideto answered Sunday April 17 2005, 7:21 pm: I say don't worry about it. You have a 3.95, so why should you worry about the little details? I have a 1.9, so I'm gonna end up getting married or being a prostitute, which are basically the same thing. Just don't worry about the minor details and relax, be thankful for what you have. WHOAitsLAUREN answered Sunday April 17 2005, 7:07 pm: Hello Tara
Maybe, your teachers are like mine. If you are like right on the border of getting another grade [ie:: like a 89% or an 80%] they look at how you do in class and stuff. If they think you do well and you really try then they up your grade, to that A or if they think you didn't work hard they down it to the C. Don't be confused though, it's nothing to worry about, a 3.95 GPA is very good! Keep it up!
SimplyMe answered Sunday April 17 2005, 6:06 pm: maybe it was a weighted class... like some advanced classes are weighted so that if in reality you got a B-.. it will rais it to an A-... you might have raised your grade a little bit too.. who knows.. I would talk to your teacher.. it could be off..
