The statement "I was thinking about throwing up..." just scares the crap out of me. What has our sociaty come to when people are willing to throw up in order to fit some stupid definition of the way you should look? Diets are one thing, but willfull anorexia is just plain wrong.

I think the clincher here is that you say you are a big athlete. Apperently you like where you are athleticly, and if you got there with the body you have why do you want to throw that away? If you have gained weight (besides from normal athletic induced growth, i.e. gained fat) while being an athlete obviously you just need to eat better foods. Just try to eat healthier, well rounded meals with plenty of vegitables and carbs. Consult a food piramid (they can be found on almost any cereal box), and for gods sake talk to a doctor before starting a diet, not some goons online!

The acids in your stomach will burn your espophagus and your throat, your teeth will turn gray, and you will smell like vomit. Also, this is bulimia (not anorexia), and it is a disease and an addiction. If you do it once, you probably won't be able to stop. I highly reccommend you don't do it and if you want to lose weight just cut back on sugary snacks and drink a lot of water. I don't need to tell you to exercise, since you're already an athlete. I hope it works out for you.

First off, I suggest you calm down and take a deep breath. I'm not gonna give you some bogus advice youve already heard about how throwing up on purpose isn't good...but it really isn't good at all. If you do do this and somebody finds out you might have to temporarily quit the sports you love so much...and if it's a parent they might take you to see a doctor or even a therapist. Not only that but you could make yourself seriously sick. If you honestly think you need to lose a little weight, which you probably dont because you do sports, then you should lose weight by not eating fatty food like mcdonalds and ice cream and just excerise...even if its just doing crunches in your room. Throwing up is totally not the answer...neither is not eating. Hope I helped...good luck!

DONT!!!...you could get addicted to making yourself vomit and it could really really mess up your body..it will make your hair fall out and you will get really pale and weak...you especially don't want to become bolemic if your'e and athlete because you might lose all of your strength and stuff...if you want to lose weight, do it the healthy way.... =]

psychoreactor answered Monday March 28 2005, 5:39 pm:
Dude, whatever just puke. It's a lot of fun, I do it all the time. In fact, I'm doing it right now. Now the best way to do it is to set up a video camera next to the toilet and record the whole thing. Then post it up on the internet and people will love you. Well, at least the Japanese will. If you do it naked, theres a better chance that other crazy girl will masturbate to you. And that's what we all want in the end anyways. It's time people learned that 'anerexic' people throw up because they want to, not because it helps them stay skinny. Now I'm gonna go puke again because it's been like 2 minutes since the last time.

Karen answered Monday March 28 2005, 5:32 pm:
Since you're an athlete, there is no reason for you to throw up because you are burning calories when you play a sport. Making yourself throw up is very unhealthy, especially for athletes and you'll just gain all the weight back if you actually decide that you need to throw up more. Once you start throwing up, it's sometimes hard to stop. You need to lose weight in a healthy way and that's by eating healthy, watching how much you eat, and exercising. Don't do this because there are so many other ways to lose weight.

coolpool0509 answered Monday March 28 2005, 5:30 pm:
ok if you are thinking about throwing up just a couple of times dont, ok first even though this might sound wierd it can become addicting... i know you are thinking how can throwing up become addictin?? well it can, trust me you get so caught up in losing weight that you will do anything plus it's really bad for your esophagous (sp) that's the pipe that your food goes down and comes up but the stomache acids from throwing up too much will start to eat away at that tube and it can really mess it up... if you think you have the self control to only be able to throw up a couple of times then it's not so bad but i wouldnt, plus if someone found out you could get suspended from whatever team you're on because they would be worried about your health... it's your body and you want to take care of it!!

hope that helped

RaeKay answered Monday March 28 2005, 5:27 pm:
throwing up once or twice will lead to more times. dont start this bad habit. since you're an athelete it shouldn't be hard for you to work out a little. if you're not in a sport right now try going to the gym or even working out a little after school. if you cant go to the gym do some basic exercises while you're at home just watching tv. that should get off a couple pounds and keep you looking great! please dont start throwing up and keep eating but if you want to just eat something healthier or cut down on the junk food. good luck and i hope i helped!

Dont do it. You say your only gonna do it once or twice, and then you get addicted. I know people that said they would do it once or twice, and they've been doing it for 3+ months now and dont know how to stop. please dont do it! if you want to lose weight just watch what you eat and watch your portion sizes..and drink water. I dont wanna see you get hurt!

Why? If your'e an athlete then you really don't need to be losing any weight; you are burning energy in whatever sport you play. I say don't do that to yourself.
