darling, babe, hun, sweetie..

Question Posted Friday March 11 2005, 4:57 am

okey, i didn't know what category to put this in so i just chose love life. Anyway I was wondering about all the sweet nicknames.. I mean everytime a guy calls me babe or darling i die inside..seriously just a name can make me fall. But what can we call guys? Is there anything we can say to make them shiver? can we call them babe? Is there any laid back names? (like you know if we're just talking on msn and he says : hey, babe - what's up? Can we say something like that, even if we're not dating? cuz guys can use babe howvever..do we have anything like that? Something that will make them all nervous and stuff or just happy. And nothing that will make them embarresed, like darling is probably too feminin for them..Thanx!//marlena

"Hot-Stuff," perhaps. Although it sounds ridiculous, I'm sure it could stroke any ego.

Call them something like Baby Boy or Baby. Never call them Darling, lol...to feminine, I gotta admit, too...Also, you can add the word "Baby" after their name. I call alla my friends by baby names, lol. I hope I helped.

1. I don't really know what might give guys the shivers.They kinda like to think they are above all that (at least the ones I know)!

2.Sure you can call them babe if you want.Honey, sweetie, sugar whatever.Mine is stud muffin.He seems to be okay with it LOL.

3.You can. Might sound kinda phoney if it doesn't come naturally though.Some people just talk that way.

4.Thats why I call mine stud muffin.Stud for the manly part.Muffin cause its cute.:}

Hey! Lol, this is a good question. I get called by friends: babe, hun, hottie, sexy, & sweetie. Of course its ok to call guys babe. You're right darling is kinda too feminine for them, but babe is just right. Even if your not dating. My (girl)friends always IM me saying hey sweetie whats up or hey babe how are you, or just a plain hey sexy how you doing? are all good. I'm not too familiar with any other good nick-names for guys. But I hope this helped ya. Rate my advice and check out the column! =)

My favorite pet names are babe, baby, hon and sweetie. They're not too femine, but they are cute enough to throw them into a conversation every once in awhile. Just try out one at a time, and see how he responds to them. If you get positive feedback from him and notice no difference in the way he talks to you, then continue to use that. If he is like WTF?, then hold off for a minute. Pet names are cute, and you will find one befitting of him soon.

Lol!! Hmmm...let's see. Whatever you want..I guess. Maybe..hunny, sweety, baby. That's really all I can think of. It really doesn't matter what you call a guy. They don't care as long as it's not rude.

I have a boyfriend, and I call him baby, and babe too. And he likes it, the thing is, guys don't really show what makes them 'shiver' and excited and in love. But, you basically call him the same thing back, I had that question a long time ago, but now I know that there aren't any names that we ladies are missing out on. Honey, darling, sweetie, pumpkin pie, sugar plum, its all cute and lovable for guys. Baby seems feminine too, but 'baby boy' works. But, if you wanna respond, just say, "hey my little dumpling." I do that a lot to sound funny. But, when you're in love, you don't have to really worry about the names. Also, I had a friend named Derek, and I always called him Rerek. Making a name out of a real name is more original and memorable. But, I'm not sure if those names makes them fall like we do, it makes us fall hard. But yeah, I hope I helped.
