Prom
I asked one of my close guy friends to prom. he said he doesn't know if he wants to go because he said he can't dance. he also said that dances aren't for him but he said he would think about it. how can i persuade him to take me to the prom?!

Everyone knows prom is a big deal, that it is something you will never forget. Try and compromise with him. Ask him to go, and if he doesn't enjoying himself, you can leave and go somewhere else. Give him options for if he gets bored at prom or doesn't become interested.

Tell him you arent the greatest dancer either and offer to take some dance classes with him, even if u can dance! lol, or you can go with the old who cares just have fun.

just tell him tht it doesn't matter if he can dance or not as long as you both have fun dancin horibly or not..just tell him its improtant to you and you would really like to go with him!

Tell him it only happens once and you want it to happen with him..tell him that you want him to go with you cause he's your close friend and that would mean alot to you if he went.. tell him that you understand how he feels and except it but tell him thats how you feel...much luv dez

Tell him that you don't HAVE TO dance. Tell him how after high school there aren't any more proms EVER again. If he is jus a friend and you don't have any other fellings for him and he is single then tell him that cute girls will be there.
Just some suggestions. Seriously, if its your senior prom then thats the IMPORTANT REASON. Only one senior rom in your lifetime. (Unless you flunk... hehe)

I would let him think about it. If you keep rambling on about it to him, you could come across as annoying. Just let him think about it, and then if he doesn't want to, then just talk to him politely about how you really want him to go, and how it would be fun and all that good stuff. Hope that helps!

Tell him, "so what if you can't dance, this is a prom, and I'm no expert at it either, we can both look like fools together!" You can both go at your own speed with dancing, and theres nothing wrong with teaching him how to dance, as long as you don't call him names, just tell him its suppose to be fun, not skillful.

You can maybe ask a friend of his to teach him how to dance or if not you can ask him if he would like you to teach him how to dance.

Why don't you offer to give him some private dance sessions before it? That way, he has no excuse by saying he cant dance. Plus you'll be able to have some fun while your at it and then he'll realise that even if he doesn't like dances, he has lots of fun with you and that will shove him towards thinking of coming. You could teach him to dance. You could tell him why this means soooooooo much to you and what it should mean to him.

Be like, "I can teach you". You can just set up a day where your at his house or vice-versa and just teach him how to slow dance, and regular dance! I know it might be weird putting some music on and dancing...but yeah most people that dont dance, usally practice before prom! So yeah, just practice once and he'll be fine! :D

tell him that prom isn't just about dancing. it's also about making memories with some of your closest friends. and he he doesn't have to go to the prom just to dance...he can always just go to eat the food!!(=
