Hey guys, I always have to have a book to read for my reading class. My teacher calls it our independent reading book. Anyways, I was wondering if any of you could give me the names of some really good books that you've read before. I love reading, and I can't seem to find any good books right now, so I was hoping someone could tell me some good books. I like to read fiction books, mysteries, or something that has to do with romance/relationships in it. If you can, please helpt me out! Thank you so very much! :)
lazy_one answered Wednesday March 9 2005, 5:47 pm: if u like movies, you could read books based on movies. the books aren't as good as the movies but, i hate reading so...it's the best i can do.
rawr answered Sunday March 6 2005, 3:31 pm: I love reading also.
I read Nicholas Sparks, anything by him is a good read. I own almost all of his books, I am missing one so far.
I also like Erica Spindler-Dead Run. Jonathan Kellerman-The Murder Books, that one is a bit slow in the beginning but if you push past it is really pretty good. I don't know, those are like murder mysteries.
Nicholas Sparks is definitely one I like to read though.
Others I like are Grecian Holiday and Spanish Holiday both by Kate Cann.
I'd suggest going to a bookstore and just browsing all different sections, especially used book stores, you never know what you'll come across! [ rawr's advice column | Ask rawr A Question ]
punkrockprincess answered Saturday March 5 2005, 11:55 pm: I love Go Ask Alice. It's a real diary of a young girl that gets into drugs and partying and running away from home. I love that book! The sad part is that she dies 2 weeks after she realizes she should stop the drugs /=
Cath answered Saturday March 5 2005, 7:51 pm: Hi Sweetie,
Mary Higgins Clark ! Think thats her name. Her books became cool mystery movies! Other cool books are: "Demon In My View" "The Cat That Went to Heaven" "The Giver" and... "A Walk to Remember" (the book is a lot different from the movie) If I think of more I'll add them here! OH! This book is really good: "Flipped" Its sooo cute.
Have a nice day and good luck! ~Blessed Be... [ Cath's advice column | Ask Cath A Question ]

BeautifulMadness answered Saturday March 5 2005, 7:34 am: Try Noughts and Crosses, and it's sequel Knife Edge, by Malorie Blackman. They are really amazing books.
You might The Raging Quiet (sorry, I don't know the author), Speak by Laurie Henderson, I Capture the Castle by Dodie Smith, or even Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte - I loved that book. There's a bit of everything in it, and once you get past the language barrier it's really cool. And it's not at all hard to understand if you read a lot normally.
Hope that helped!
