self image problems

I think I have self-image problems. I hate my stomach. I'm always worried it is preventing me from finding a boyfriend. I know people sometimes comment about my weight behind my back. In school when we had our physicals I felt extremely self-consious because the nurse put the chart down and a few people could see my weight (I'm not sure they care though). I just don't want to hurt myself. I've thought about nt eating and becoming aneroxic and when I did I honestly didn't care what it would do to my body as long as my stomach look thinner. I do exercise usually but I never see results. I just want to know how I can have a better self-image. Any help?

Guys probably dont not like you because of the size of your waist, they can probably see that your self-concious about it and thats whats keeping them from pursuing a relationship with you. You are who you are, you cant do much about the shape of your body and the shape shouldnt matter. guys should like you for who you are and not what you look like. it sounds cheesy...but it's true. self image isnt all about how you look, its about the kind of energy you give off that affects how people see you. even if your not a size 1 jean but if you are confident in yourself, people wont see what you look like but will see the person you are.

well lots of people wish they could be a little thinner...but please dont obsessed when you already at a good weight...dont become anorexic either..i know people who were and when they would finally eat something they would just keep throwing up till they were throwing up blood...soo i dont think you want that to happen..but anyways if you still want to lose weight and get a thinner stomach...trying going on a diet or work out a little more...one way i heard of that works is do not drink any soft drinks...just drink water...if you want a better self-image, focus on more on whats on the inside, not on the outside...Hoped I helped!!!

ok...well i have the same problem but the opposite! i am skinny and i hate being it! yanno i dont think any one is truley satisfied with themselfs! in life sociaty expect all girls to be skinny, thin, big hips , big boobs, big but kinda perfect ppl! but to to you the truth there is no one out there who went through there teenage years like that..and you may think that they did and didnt have a self image problem...thats wrong b-c there is no such thing as a perfect girl! ir you want to become this "perfect person" to me in my opinion it is hurting Gods feelings in a way...b-c he made us and to tell ourselves we are ugly or fat is wrong...you are the way you are for a reason and there is nothing that matter with yoU! if you MUST loose weight try getting on a healthy diet..like salads and cut down on snacks...BUT NEVER STOP eating..that slows down you matablism and makes you gain MORE weight when you do start eating !! dont do it b-c you want to look like that "perfect person" do it b-c you want to be healthier! ...hope i helped ya!

The only help you need, is to realize that in order for people to accept you, you have to accept yourself, be happy the way you are. And if you cant do that and you'd like to lose say 10 or 15 pounds than, eat healthier, and drink lots of water. Apples, bananas, veggies are all good for you, and meat that it baked, broiled, or grilled is also nutricious. You dont need to stop eating in order to make yourself look skinnier, your only setting yourself up for dissapointment.If you got questions on what you should do for more healthier ways of eating ask and I will be happy to help you.

Okay first of all, you shouldn't care about what anybody thinks no matter what. They aren't living your life you are. But when i wanted to lose weight i went jogging around my neighborhood and did sit ups and crunches. You could also try being healthier. It all depends on your preference. And doing sit ups once or twice isn't going to do it you have to keep at it. just don't become a syco aneroxic. you deserve more than that.

The best way for a thinner stomach is sit-ups and crunches, but I don't think that's the only problem here.
To me, you sound a bit insecure. Everyone thinks that they're really big and that people are always staring at them, but in reality, they aren't. They're too busy worrying about their own problems and what's wrong with their body image.
And I bet you aren't as big as you think ;-)

Ok. First thing, not eating can make you end up in the hospiatal. If you don't eat, your stomach will eat..your stomach. You might be losing weight by not eating, but if you ate healthy foods it would help you better. You need food in your body to grow so that you are a healthy person when you get older. If you eat healthy or go on a diet (drink diet sodas, they r better then regular sodas) you can see progress. If nothing happens see a docter. Hope I helped!

i ahd this problem to but on a much bigger level and its changed my whole perspective on life.i was diagnosed with luekemia two yeras ago when i was 14.i lost all my hair and had loadsa pple looking at me all the tiem.so just br gratefull that your body is good and well.all your parts werk dont they?and to get rid of your stomache do tummy crunches.50 a night.just dont deliberately harm your body over sumit like a big belly!hpe i helped xxx

Anorexia could hurt you alot -- Its kinda like a drug, once you try it, you say to yourself that once more wont hurt -- And it keeps going until one time you end up passing out and in the hospital wheny uo wake up with IV's in your arm, i know it might not scare you now but you can lose your hair, your skin becomes blotchy, blurry vision, weak-ness, stretch marks, boobs hget smaller!, hard to keep up woth normal things you do, and when you start eating again you gain back all the weight...try not to look in the mirror as much (if we didnt have them, imagine half the people who have eating disorders wouldnt) work out, eat healthy (food groups) proportions, itll pay off..

There is one way to lose some extra weight. First cut your carbs. Carbs have more than twice the number then protein or fat. You need to burn 3,500 calories to lose one pound. Do both strength and aerobic exercise. Also as a side note try to stay away from foods with high saturated fats(go for low in fat) and a lot of sodium.

it doesn't matter if you have a big belly. All that matters is that you have a big heart. If you have a positive aditude on things people will start to take notice. To some, yes weight it important, but the people that matter really won't care. Becoming aneroxic isn't the answer. You'll most likely just end up going to rehab.There's people in this world that could see the beauty within and not the superficial version of "beautiful"

Hey,
well let me tell you this, just appriciate the way you look i know its hard and you dont always like it but make it seem like you do dont ever put yourself down.
but to have a smaller stomach i would suggest you order the "Pilates" tapes, those tapes work great they worked for me and my sis. i exercised everyday during summer and i stayed in shape and i didnt do it to lose weight or anything like that i just did it to feel better.
but they help realli good and it realli works.
exercise 3 days in a week 20 min a day. and you'll see results and your gonna love it.

eating healthier and dieting the RIGHT way helps. ask your doctor what kind of diet you should go on. drink lots and lots of water to fill your stomach up when you have cravings. but definetly still eat your 3 meals a day! if you stop eating all together, in the end, you're just gonna gain weight faster! and if you throw up your food, then you're gonna die sooner and there would be no point in trying to lose all that weight! good luck darling!! >>i really hope you become happier with yourself and become confident! but your body isnt everything that people look at. it's also confidence and how you carry yourself. just love yourself for who you are right now and people will love you just fine!

first of all if u starve urself you could get fatter because bodies are functioned to eat and wen they dont the brain tells it self that its hungry and they feed off the fat you already have so you could become fatter(i think thatz how it goes)and also if u juss go about 30 sit ups in the morning and in the night you will see results in a bout a couple weeks.. and an average person only eats up to 2,000-2,500 calories a day so if your on a diet you might only 1,000-1,500 calories a day

Well hun, you seem like a totally sweet girl. The thing is, it depends on how BIG you are. Dont take it the wrong way, but there are different things to do depending on how much you weigh. Ask your doctor or nutritionist to make a excersize chart, and diet plan for you if you find it helpful.

As for the people talking behind your back, no matter who you are it happens. But if people are talking behind your back, you can never be sure exactly what they're talking about. They could be saying you look really pretty :D Just wake up every morning and look into the mirror and say " I am special, I am beautiful just the way I am. And nobody can ever change that. And anybody would be lucky to know me! " Be positive, and surround yourself with positive people.

dont go anorexic 2 stories of anorexia 1 of them put on 3 stones in 4 weeks and the other died

i am over weight my self try not eating anything for a day if you can without eating in secret you have the will power to loose weight i dt no how old you are if your old enough join a gym

dont not eat for more then 5 dsys in a row its dangerous
