Alin75 answered Sunday January 9 2005, 10:25 pm:
Why on earth are you doing that? Sit ups in general are not great excercises for your abs- crunches are much better. But to answer your question yes it could be bad because situps might damage your back. Now, even if you were doing 3-600 crunches, what a waste of time that is. You are far better off using a small weight either on your chest or behind your head (taking care not to push the weight against the head as you excercise) and doing sets of 15-20 or so. You would get quicker results and more powerful abs.

Shortie8959 answered Sunday January 9 2005, 10:22 pm:
Well, ya it is. You should really only start with 20-30 a day, and then increase the number as you get more used to it, but 300-600 is really bad for you. You shouldn't overexert yourself. Good luck!
Hope I helped!

omgsh yeah! thats VERY bad! stop right now! haha, i dont mean to freak you out or anything, but don't. i advise you not too because you won't burn as much weight as you might think, and its very unhealthy. start of with like 10-25 a day maybe and increase, slowly by like 5-15, not 200! *haha* you should only workout 2-3 days a week! well hope i helped! good luck! *xox/angi*

Yes, that's bad for you because you're letting your body work too hard.

JadedinNowhere answered Sunday January 9 2005, 10:17 pm:
geez.. I would kill to be able to do that. I don't think it's bad for you, actually it's probably really good, except if you don't want to look really bulky..

AsKmE135 answered Sunday January 9 2005, 10:16 pm:
yea it probably is. working out too much could stunt your growth if you are still growing. And im not 100% sure about this but i think that by straining your muscles too much you could get a hernia (sp?) in your stomach muscles. And I heard that doing sit ups everyday won't do any good, that you should only do them once a week b/c if you do them too much then your muscles will never have any time to develop.

Do you rest inbetween those at all? If not, it may be bad for you. It all depends on how you do it.
