arialuvsu333 answered Wednesday January 12 2005, 8:24 pm: i no this might sound a little crazy but...when your home alone...go up to your room...and lipsync to your favorite song in the mirror and dance it out! keep doing it! Then once you get a little more comfortable sing along instead of lipsync...once you start thinking that your good...sing for your parents or friends!! That will help you! perform as much as you can!
thats what i do!! lol hope i helped!

metalkat86 answered Wednesday January 5 2005, 5:05 am: build yourself up slowly. start with one or two people, then go to five, then 8, then 10, etcetera. practice singing infront of them until you feel comfortable enough to go up to the next level. i've been there, it ain't fun, but take a step out of your comfort zone, it will be worth the trip :P

xoxo_AmBeR_xoxo answered Saturday January 1 2005, 4:38 pm: Its okay. It happens to the best of us. It's a sinple case of stage fright. Just practice singing in front of the mirror and sooner or later you will be able to have confidence in your voice. An old remedy for this problem is to imagine the whole croud is in there underwear. It helps the mind believe that the audience looks just as bad as the singer. Hope I helped!
x0oLoViNiTo0x answered Friday December 31 2004, 4:55 pm: The only way to overcome it is by pushing yourself to do it. practice makes perfect, and if you keep trying, then you'll eventually overcome your fear and become more and more comfortable. crazybrunet09 answered Friday December 31 2004, 2:11 pm: I used to NEVER sing in front of ANYONE not even when i was alone! So when i was all alone in my house i would just turn up the music really high and sing and i couldn't hear myself, so whenever i was in cars with my friends and the music is on, i would just sing and i didn't even mind. And now people get bugged how much i sing. So maybe try that. [ crazybrunet09's advice column | Ask crazybrunet09 A Question ]
CaitLynnG answered Friday December 31 2004, 1:40 pm: I know alot of people like that. I am afraid to sing in front of everyone except my best group of friends. Try singing in front of them and then keep moving to different people and see if that helps or when you're singing don't look at the people and focus on one thing. Hope i've helped! =D [ CaitLynnG's advice column | Ask CaitLynnG A Question ]

What you should do is get a couple of your family members or your best friends and sing infront of them first and then see what they say. Then if you are more comfortable sing infront of more friends and then there you go! I hope I helped!! ♥Andie [ Hunnibunni23's advice column | Ask Hunnibunni23 A Question ]
Karen answered Friday December 31 2004, 12:07 pm: Try practicing singing in front of a group of friends or family. Practicing before hand always helps! Just relax and pretend that no one is watching you. Hope I helped :)

YoshiP162 answered Friday December 31 2004, 12:05 pm: Dear Afraid2Sing,
I used to have the same fear too, but not anymore. Overtime, you'll get used to performing public. However, a pretty good trick that worked on me is look at someone at the audience that you feel confortable singin in front of. If its absolutely nobody, look at the walls (If theres any. If you're singing outside, look at a dog or an inatimate object)! No one will realize that you're staring! You can also think about something that calms you while singing. The trick is that you should never think about the audience, but think about something that doesn't make you nervous either. Good Luck! [ YoshiP162's advice column | Ask YoshiP162 A Question ]
