Question Posted Thursday December 23 2004, 1:52 am
Well, my brother told me that if you put up blue christmas lights it meant that you were Jewish. So does anyone know if this is true or is my brother smoking something? Thanks!!

Usually if you're really Jewish you won't put up Christmas lights but I don't think blue ones symbolize that you are so don't worry about it.. lol that's great though... : )

Karen answered Thursday December 23 2004, 11:23 am: Hey, colors are colors, it doesn't matter what color you put up! Yes, some Jewish families put up blue lights but families that aren't Jewish still put them up! Don't worry, putting up blue lights doesn't make you Jewish all of a sudden! Hope I helped :)

Mandee answered Thursday December 23 2004, 9:33 am: Yes and no. One of my friends are Jewish and he decorates his house with blue lights. But I know people that aren't Jewish and decorate their houses with blue lights too. So blue lights don't really make you Jewish. Your brother is right that some Jewish people decorate their houses with blue, but it's not all of the Jewish people who do that. Blue lights are for anyone. :D Have a wonderful holiday, hun!
