Ok.. hi. See me & my sister are like 9 years apart, she's 23 & I'm 14. She is always talkin bout how I shouldn't be mean to her, but she used to ditch me for her friends & crap. Ok, well, she's all of a sudden wanted to be "sisters" and I'm just like, no. She's all whiny & she's babyish. It really gets on my nerves but, when I wanna spend time with her she's always "busy". Ok well we have alot in common but she wont open up to me & tell me about her problems. She goes & tells mom (BIG mistake). Then mother goes & tells daddy & they talk about her so bad. I dont know what to do! I know I don't like her sometimes but hey, she's my sister. Please help!!
And then you said that when you DO decide to spend time with her now, she says she's busy. Talk to her and let her know that you were trying to hang out with her like she wanted, but she's not making time for you. Plan a day or weekend where it's just you and her. Go to the mall, go out to eat, do anything. You're so lucky that you've got this person you can talk to about certain stuff and who can DRIVE YOU PLACES!!! Don't pass up this awesome opportunity. Daisy answered Thursday December 9 2004, 11:47 am: It's difficult becaus eshe's older than you and so thinks that she has more 'power' over you. You need to stand up for yourself and tell her that you will spend time with her when you want to and not just when she wants. [ Daisy's advice column | Ask Daisy A Question ]

Ya yall fight but dont all siblings ?I remember when i had an older sister , it took us a while to become close. I had to open up to her before she would open up to me.And so i did and she helped me with some stuff. [ iNsAnelyKrAzie76313's advice column | Ask iNsAnelyKrAzie76313 A Question ]
angelbabi91 answered Tuesday December 7 2004, 9:45 pm: i would try and go along with it. i mean my sister died in a carwreck when she was 5, and i was 6; i would jump for the chance to know her better, i mean we were so young. just think, if she died tomorrow, think about how much you wouldnt have said to her, and wouldnt have gotten to do with her. take the chance, you never know when your going to loose someone you love.
hope i helped!

SweetThoughtz answered Tuesday December 7 2004, 9:15 pm: hey hey!! You should tell your sister how you feel about her and how you guys never spend time together when you want to. Also, tell her that you want to talk to her about stuff and that you want her to tell you her problems instead of telling your mom or w/e...hope things work out!-lyl [ SweetThoughtz's advice column | Ask SweetThoughtz A Question ]
dancinqueen08 answered Tuesday December 7 2004, 7:53 pm: Well part of it is, when you want to hang out with her she doesn't want to, and when she wants to hang out with you you don't want to. Neither of you are letting the other one in. It's kind of both of your faults. I guess you both just need to try more and you two need to talk. Maybe then she can understand how you resent how she ditched you and you can understand how she feels. Maybe this is unrealistic advice and it would be really awkward to talk to her, but the only other way to fix it would be to wait until both get older and can deal with each other better. icey0990 answered Tuesday December 7 2004, 5:54 pm: Maybe your sister is just trying yo make up for lost time and how she used to ditch you. I dont know, maybe now that shes like 24 and an adult..she wants to be closer to her family. So if your sister tells your mom something..and then ur mom tells ur dad...tell your sister so she's aware of whats going on. Also, tell your sister that if she wants you to talk to her about whats going on in your life, then she needs to open up also.
best of luck

MACwh0re answered Tuesday December 7 2004, 5:51 pm: Just talk to her. Say that when she tells your mom stuff, they talk crap. But your only 14, and she might not feel comfortable talking to you about her problems. When you ask her to hang out make sure its not that day. Just say "Hey can we hangout next saturday?" and then that way she wont schedule anything for saturday so she can hang out with you. [ MACwh0re's advice column | Ask MACwh0re A Question ]
