Shaylee answered Friday December 3 2004, 5:30 am: Can I suggest something. Diets are usually bad for you because you stick to certain foods and sometimes you just don't get the right nutrition and its easy to stuff up (which you didn't by the way) Firstly there are soo many good foods out there which you are cutting out of your diet. How about you cut out the bad ones instead of picking the ones you can't eat.
For example. You are not allowed to have any dessert, junk food, juice with added sugars, white bread (go with brown bread), sports drinks, chips and coffee (yes i know hard one).
See how you go with that, its really hard, I know because I am a dancer and I know what its like to watch what I eat, but the most common mistake is not getting the right nutrients and then overeating in response. Yes it can happen- and does a lot.
And most of all don't bite off more then you can chew (yes lame I know) don't jump into a diet so fast, because we aren't that strong we can't stop ourselves from soo much good food out there- it takes time, practise and self control- hard but you'll get there.
Just one more because if I don't stop I'll rant all night, its better to have five smaller meals then 3 big ones. Its got to do with your metabolism and how it processes your food into energy or fat- long story. If you want more info feel free to ask
mcr_luver111 answered Thursday December 2 2004, 9:06 pm: ok, first thats not overeating. if your going to eat 6 fruits which is good, try to eat 6 different fruits, not doubling. not that its bad to have too much, its just that if your going to eat the calories (which isnt much) you might as well get the variety that you need. or try 3 veggies instead of the 3 double fruits. VonBondie answered Monday November 29 2004, 1:23 am: Although you're not supposed to snack between meals while dieting - THIS ONLY APPLIES TO JUNK FOOD! Eating fruit throughtout the day is fine - and very good for you, as is drinking plenty of water. You didn't say how old you are, but if you're still a teen, don't forget your body's changing at the moment, and over-dieting can be permanantly damaging. hErEtoheLp answered Sunday November 28 2004, 11:48 pm: You haven't failed. It's actually good that you eat a little bit of something you like in between. Depriving yourself will only allow it to build up and when you DO give in, you might tend to binge... so it's good to have like a day of that every once in awhile.
