lung problem?

Question Posted Thursday August 19 2004, 4:21 pm

i think i might have something wrong with my lungs. i get out of breath WAY too easy. i don't think i have athsma, cuz i've never had an attack, and i don't smoke, but my parents do. i'm getting bad grades in p.e. because i can't run. i COULD run...if i could breathe, because it doesn't tire my legs at all...but anyway, how can i tell if there's something wrong with me, or what do i do?

I feel for ya, hon. My brother + dad have both smoked since I was born and it's made me have almost the exact same problem. I tried to run cross country and track when I was in Junior High, but it about killed me. I couldn't catch my breath. Don't listen to the people who say that you need to practice physical activity. I think you should go and see a doctor. I think the second hand smoke is getting to you.

definetly see a doctor on that. Its too tricky to tell whats up without some help from a doctor b/c i wouldnt want to suggest anything that could totally mislead you. The doctor will tell you whats up and hopefully you'll have a way of getting out of running in gym, or you'll take some medication and be able to run. Im sure the outcome will be happy if you see some medical help :-D.

practice physical activity alittle at a time, and keep doing it on schedual. Take part in sports, and invite friends over to play night games like kick the can and ghost in the grave yard. They might seem kiddish but their a lot of fun when theres lots of people, and their good for you.

You may be having a problem with secondhand smoke. Talk to your parents about it. If they smoke in the house, ask them not to, because you feel that its destroying your lungs. Ask them to smoke outside or not near you. Hope i helped!

you need to see a doctor! it could b second-hand smoke, but you could have sports induced asthma, thats wut i have. i have an albuteral inhaler and trust me, it works! so talk 2 ur parents about it! and if its got somethin 2 do w/the second-hand smoke, then try to get ur parents to quit, tell them if they really love you they will quit!
good luck!

Go to the doctors. I'm guessing its from second hand smoke, because that's how I am, except not that bad!! Good luck.

GO TO A DOCTOR RIGHT AWAY. it's not worth getting worse and worse IF there IS a problem so go to doc as soon as possible, doctors specailize in just what your talking about and it's their job to tell you what's going on inside your little body. so HURRY HURRY to the doc's!!!lol

You might be affected by second hand smoke, since your parents smoke, the smoke can get into your lungs and hurt them. You need to see a doctor and ask your parents not to smoke around you. Good luck!

The best possible sollution is to go to the doctors. I dont believe anyone can tell you what it is cause each person is different it could be your lungs are deteriorating or that you may have asthma im not sure but you need to go to the doctor thats my best advice.
