furst day of highskool
well im startin my h.s on sept 8...im really nervous EVERYONE @ my middle skool is goin to this one h.s and im goin to another one far away bc i didnt like the ppl @ my old skool i just had a lot of probs n stuff....but yea this skool is a whole diff crowd of ppl my last skool was s0o0o ghetto!! this is like really not....im just so nervous i dont no ne 1 and we hav to wear uniforms that r navy blue and khaki...im afraid im gonna look like a dork and hav no friends..hellllppp...im gonna b so lost =(

Don't worry, if it's a whole new crowd of people, nobody knows you, you can start ALL over..and you wont look like a DORK!! Everyone is going to be wearing the same thing as you! So if you look like a dork, so will everyone else. Good luck!

I'm doing the exact same thing, except I'm going to a different school because it's closer to my house(not that I want to). Annnyway I know its really lame but you have to dun dun da, Be yourself!! Ahhhh scary thoughts I know but that's always the best thing to do. Being someone that you're not just attracts the wrong people. And everyone looks like a dork in those uniforms believe me, I know. if everyones wearing a uniform it wont be too bad. Plus, dont be shy be straight up and be NICE. If people start being mean and your just nice back, the teasing wont last long. Other people will see what a nice person you are and jsut for that you'll make lots of friends. I think you'll be fineeeee. Hehe.. but good luck w/ everything and best wishes! Dont worry! Don't worry, you won't look like a dork if everyone is wearing the same thing. You can try dressing up your uniform with some pins or patches, and don't forget to decorate your backpack. And non-ghetto schools are much better (My school now is really ghetto) because most people are just nicer. If you want to make friends, talk to people in your classes. If you see anyone else sitting alone, talk to them. You aren't going to be the only new kid in your school. There will be other people who feel as alone as you do.

Switchin schools is not that bad... there are probably gonna be a lotta of other new kids... high school is not really a big deal... about the uniforms... ur not gonna be the only person wearing a uniform everyone will... so dont even sweat it

hey, everyones gonna look dorky wearing the same thing. the point of uniforms is so that kids don't have to worry about what they're wearing. just be friendly. smile a lot. you make friends eventually.

People WILL like you . . . IF . . . you're nice to everyone, outgoing, friendly. They won't hate you just for no reason. But, if you try to hard to be cool, if you're snobby, bossy, and mean to people, then NO ONE will like you . . . Don't worry, I'm in the same situation as you, but I'm not worried! good luck!

First of all, if you think you're going to look like a dork because of the uniform, remember that everone else is going to be wearing it, too. You'll all look the same.
Next, it sounds like you really didn't like your last school. It's good that this school is so different, and it's also good you won't know anyone. Think of it as a clean slate - the problems you had in junior high don't have to be a part of you anymore.
Lots of people will be in your situation - you will not be the only new person. Even the kids who know people are still probably nervous about starting high school.
Just be friendly and honest, and you'll wind up with the sort of friends you want.

Well about the uniforms... If you look like a dork, everyone looks like a dork. LOL :) You are all wearing the same thing. The BEST BEST thing I can tell you is not to be shy. Get in there and meet new people! Maybe get into sports or any clubs that will introduce you to people with the same interests as you! You're only lost if you dont ask for help! I'm sure people will be nice at your new school. Just jump in there and say 'Hi, my name is _______, Im from ------. Whats your name' And you've already met someone new! Good luck! :) -Britty-
